"Don’t apologize to her, she does not deserve it." Elisa cut in as always. "Listen here Harlow, if you don’t give Claudia the role, then count yourself out of the Blackwoods family for good," Elisa added.
Harlow rolled her eyes, unimpressed. "As if I care," she said flatly.
Mimicking her stepmother’s voice, she gestured mockingly with her fingers. "You’re no longer part of this family, Harlow."
"Pack your things and get out, leave our family if you don’t love Claudia."
"You’re a witch, you’re heartless, you’re just jealous of your sister, an insolent child..." She mocked.
Her tone turned sarcastic. "Oh no, what will I ever do without being part of this family?" she sneered, crossing her arms. "You’ve already disowned me a thousand times, Elisa. I’m already not a part of your family."
"This time, all of your inheritance will be given to your sister." Elisa threatened.
"What has Claudia ever done to you to earn such hate from you?" Frank asked. He had no idea why Harlow hated her sister, from all he remembers, Claudia has been the one trying every day to make things right with her sister.
Harlow didn’t respond, she knew they wouldn’t even believe a word she said even if she said anything.
"Nothing!" Elisa answered. "She’s just so jealous of her sister," Elisa added.
"Mother please don’t say that. Harlow and I are just special." Claudia pretended to be defending her sister when they both knew she had planned all of this.
Special in what way?" Elisa yelled. "I have told you not to defend this girl anymore. She’s a witch and not your sister."
"I should take my leave since I have nothing else to do here," Harlow said calmly and turned to leave.
"Harlow," Claudia called nervously this time. She has seen her plans of bullying Harlow into giving her the role wasn’t working at all. Her sister was even more stubborn than the devil, but she couldn’t let her just leave now.
That’s because the actual person she wants to hate Harlow was not here yet.
Claudia held her chest as she struggled to sit up. Elisa and Frank who were sitting beside her helped her up. "Please Mum, Dad, I want to talk to my sister privately. Please excuse us." Claudia’s voice was so innocent and pleading.
"Even if we talked till next year, you’re still not going to change my mind, Claudia." Harlow’s lazy voice rang again. She was tired of seeing Claudia’s silly games. Only blind people would fall for it and as long as she’s concerned, both her parents are blind.
"F... Forget that Harlow. I have something really important to discuss with you." Claudia said.
"Are you sure you want to stay in the same room with an evil thing?"
"Mother Harlow’s not evil, she’s my sister," Claudia said waving her hands for both her parents to leave and they did leave hesitantly.
"How long are you willing to pretend to everyone? It must have caused you a huge amount of money to set all these up." Harlow smiled.
"It cost me nothing Harlow, just a few of your inheritance. I’m going to be spending that a lot till you’re left with nothing." Harlow nodded.
She wasn’t moved by Claudia’s threat anymore.
"Is that all you wanted to say?" Harlow asked lazily again seeming unimpressed by her sister’s words.
Claudia jumped from the bed, her two feet on the floor as she walked towards her sister. "You bitch! All I want is to kill you like I did before." She smiled. "I’m sure you aren’t aware, but I’ve relived this life before." She giggled and Harlow froze.
Claudia moved closer to her sister, she leaned in till her lips were close to her sister’s ears, "In the past, you had a son Harlow, your beautiful baby boy. He had a successful surgery, he was fine when I got there." Claudia said. Harlow clenched her hands into a fist as she listened to her sister speak.
She closed her eyes, forcing her tears back in.
"Back then you had an accident. I’m sure your stupid self would have thought your accident back then was normal. Oh how easy it was to kill you." Claudia smiled.
"I looked at your little boy’s face. He was so scared and he kept calling you and Alanis. The tear and stitch was divine and after everything, I blamed you for it."
"Are you okay?" Harlow asked staring at her sister. She knew her son’s death wasn’t normal, and she suspected that Claudia had a hand in it, what Harlow didn’t expect was that her sister would relive this life too.
Even if Claudia was evil, she was given a second chance at life. Why?
"I am perfectly fine Harlow. I know my words sound stupid, but everything I just told you is true and I wouldn’t mind doing it again and again. Only that this time, I will never let you have a child for Alanis. I’ll kill you before then." Claudia said.
That is the reason she had wanted the movie role. Garth had ended up killing her in her past life and gave everything to her son and daughter.
When she woke up again, she was getting engaged to Alanis, but Harlow ruined it. In this life, she had no idea why her sister seemed smarter.
Claudia suspected this Harlow could still be the one from the past life, but Harlow has given her the benefit of doubt since she didn’t react to her confessing to killing her son.
Harlow gulped down the pain bubbling in her throat. Fighting Claudia now would do nothing for her, but she would make sure she pays for hurting Alex.
Alex was such a little child, he did not deserve everything he went through.
"I’d like to see you try." Claudia smiled and walked to a corner of the room, she kicked the flower vase on the side table and it splattered on the floor. The sound drew the attention of her parents who were standing by the door.
She quickly picked a piece of the broken vase to cut her legs before they arrived. Harlow said nothing and just watched her sister’s drama.
Elisa and Frank hurried in when they heard the sound, but they weren’t the only ones to step in. Garth and Alanis had arrived too.
