While Alanis waited for his wife to be done with her meeting in the car, he received a text from his ex.

’Lanis, I’ve been involved in an accident, please come save me’,

He sighed, his anger bubbling a little. This was the same trick she used in his past life. Every time she was sick he was always the one she called. He didn’t have time for his son because he was always attending to her.

"Don’t you have guards, tell them to save you." He sent a message back.

Claudia frowned when she received the text, she had carefully curated this plan to get Alanis close to her yet, once again he was ignoring her.

She quickly entered her call log and dialed Alanis’s contact. Maybe he had refused to help her because he was with her sister, but he would need to help her now. Alanis loved her, he had promised to love her even if he was getting married to her sister.

"L... Lanis please save me. I... I don’t know where I am..." Claudia cried out the moment he picked up the call. Alanis was silent for a while, he stared at the gate his wife walked through and back to the car.

"You have a father. You should call him to get you help, I’m busy at the moment." Alanis said coldly and turned off his cell phone.

Claudia called over and over again, but the calls were no longer going through. She clenched her hands into a fist, almost smashing it against the floor, but she held herself.

She will never let this slide. Even if Alanis wouldn’t respond to geez she would have to take matters into her hands.

She dialed a number, "Hello." Came the voice of Gus from the other end.

"I need to know where your boss is, take me to him else, I’ll burn down your apartment now." She threatened.

"Alright, I’ll send his location." Gus hung up wondering what she wanted from his boss this time. Just when he thought Claudia Blackwood had given up on the man, here she goes again.

He tried calling Alanis to warn him but the number wasn’t going through. Without thinking, Gus sent his location to Claudia.

"We’re no longer doing this, everyone can go back home." Claudia got up from where she lay and started walking towards another car. She had called these people here to plan an accident just to distract Alanis from his wife.

This was one of the many tricks she had pulled in the past. She was so good at devising all of these plans to win Alanis over. She had deceived him a lot.

Claudia picked the towel from her servant as she wiped a few blood from her face. She couldn’t wipe them all off because she wanted her accident to look real.

If she appears before Alanis looking so pale and injured, he would believe her and take her to the hospital himself. She got into the car and gave her chauffeur his location. The man read the text and started moving the car again.

When Claudia arrived, she saw Alanis’s car at the entrance of a building. What was he doing here, she wondered. If there was one thing she knew was that her sister didn’t have a house here, what could Alanis really be doing here? Was he seeing someone else that wasn’t Harlow?

Is that the reason he has been acting strange to her?

She stepped out of her car and dragged her feet towards his. "Lanis!" She called like someone about to die. One hand on her stomach and the other dangling in the air as she struggles to move towards him. Claudia knew that if he wasn’t in the car, then the Chauffeur was. She would have to force him to get his boss over.

She crawled gently towards the car and when she arrived by the driver’s side, she hit the glass gently.

"What shall I do now boss? The chauffeur asked. Alanis pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a frustrating sigh. He had forgotten this woman could do anything to get his attention, even if it meant her going to the extreme.

It’s funny how he labeled his wife the desperate one when it’s clear who the desperate person is.

"Wine down," Alanis ordered and the Chauffeur did as asked. Claudia saw the glas roll down and the face of the chauffeur came into view.

"Y... You, where’s your boss?" She asked only to see the face of the cold man in the car. Claudia froze. Alanis had been here all along, he had seen her drag herself from her car yet he didn’t bother to help her.

What is going on?

"L... Lanis." She cries out. "Y... You’ve been in the car all along."

"Why didn’t you go to the nearest hospital if you’re badly injured?" He turned to meet her gaze. Claudia quickly hid the shock on her face, she couldn’t believe Alanis would say such to her.

"Lanis." She struggled to his side of the car, hitting the glass softly for him to open the door but Alanis didn’t budge. He was tired of this woman coming between him and his wife. He was tired of her plays, her schemes. Not in this life, not even in the next.

His foolishness and mistakes died with him in the past.

"Lanis please open for me." Alanis wondered when she gave him such a name. Only Harlow is allowed to give him cute name.

Claudia had gotten the name from Harlow. She got the name the very day Harlow called her hubby Lanis.

"I... I’m sorry if I offended you. But I can’t stop accidents. I didn’t mean to harm myself." She cried out.

"I... I thought I was going to die and I wanted you to be the last person I see, please believe me Lanis." She hit the window again.

At the same time, Harlow finally stepped out of the apartment gate only to meet her sister standing next to her car. She smiled.

The past was truly repeating itself. At least this time, she wouldn’t bother these two anymore. They could hug and kiss before her and she wouldn’t bat an eye.
