Chapter 247: Aryana Is Back

Two days after the banquet, Erik took Aryana and his daughter back to Malacan. Mu Heng insisted on accompanying them. He also wanted to meet Erik’s family. He wanted to make sure that the Lee family would not bully his precious granddaughter and great-granddaughter.

Mu Feng and Mu Chen also accompanied them along with a few bodyguards.

When they arrived at the airport at 9:00 am, Aryana was surprised when they headed to a private jet. Mu Heng said that he did not like commercial flights and since it was just a two-hour flight, they better take Mu family jet instead.

Erik kept their arrival a secret. Only Marlon knew about it as he needed to arrange for the cars that would pick them up.

When Aryana stepped down on the Central District’s tarmac, her eyes reddened. She missed her friends and her Aunt Elena. She missed her home.

Erik did not tell her what happened during the time that she went missing. He only assured her that CoChi was being taken care of and her friends were alright.

Marlon was already waiting at the arrival area. He craned his neck to look at the exiting passengers. When he saw Erik, he excitedly called out.

"Erik here!"

Erik frowned. His shout attracted a few passengers who were waiting for their rides.

"Hello, Aryana. How are you?" Marlon asked excitedly, then his eyes trailed to the baby in Erik’s arms. The baby was sleeping comfortably.

"Marlon, it’s been so long. I am fine. How about you?" Aryana sounded emotional.

"We’ve met quite a few times before you gave birth." Marlon furrowed his brows. Did Aryana lose her memory again?

"Yeah, but I did not remember you at the time."

"Yana, get in the car first. Marlon, can you ride with Grandpa and brother-in-law?"

It was only then that Marlon noticed the three men and a few bodyguards standing near them. Marlon slightly nodded to acknowledge them and led them to the second car.

Erik had a baby car seat installed at the back seat of his Mayback. He gently placed baby Erika on it. No matter how much he wanted to carry his little princess, he prioritized safety.

After Aryana had settled down beside the baby, the new Daddy went to the front seat and their car sped off.

Aryana was looking out the window. The trees that lined both sides of the expressway have become lush. There were ongoing constructions here and there but generally, not much has changed.

"Did you miss home?" Erik asked lazily from the front seat.

"Hmmm.." Aryana hummed.

A billboard caught Aryana’s attention. It was a young lady wearing a prom dress. It was CoChi’s graduation series. The dress looked dainty and youthful but what made Aryana’s jaw drop was the face of the model. It was somewhat similar to hers.

Their car had already passed the billboard but Aryana was still pressing her face against the car window trying to catch a glimpse of the billboard.

"Erik, the new model of CoChi looks similar to me." Aryana’s voice trembled. She did not want to think that Erik found a substitute. She felt a tightness in her chest.

"Oh, that is Aliyah. When you went missing, CoChi’s sales dropped drastically. Elaine suggested finding a model and she bumped into someone who looked like you. We did not intend to fool people so we announced that CoChi’s new model was your look alike."

"I see." Aryana hesitated. She wanted to ask Erik if the new model reminded him of her but she kept her thoughts to herself.

"Her facial features seemed unnatural. Did she undergo plastic surgery?" Aryana asked.

"I think so. Her dimples do not look natural."

"Hmm. Maybe I should go back to the company in two weeks."

Erik frowned.

"Baby Erika is still very small. Don’t worry about CoChi. Elaine and Rex are very capable people. You chose your people well."

Aryana grinned from Erik’s complement. She looked down at the baby who was sleeping soundly. Probably she got tired from crying when they were on the plane.

She looked outside and noticed that the scenery had changed and she was not familiar with the road.

"Umm, Erik, this is not the way to the penthouse. Are we taking another route?"

Erik gave out a half-smile.

"The penthouse is already too small for us. I purchased a mansion just an hour’s drive from the capital. That will be our new home."

Aryana held her breath the moment the car entered the gate. There was still some distance from the gate to the main house. It took them 15 minutes before the car finally stopped at the driveway.

The E&A Lee Manor was a 1,000-square-meter Victorian-style manor surrounded by five hectares of lawns and gardens. It has a dozen bedrooms, a game room, an entertainment room, a music room and a swimming pool. At the center of a flower garden on the west side of the manor was a miniature castle. The castle was painted with the color of ice cream.

"Isn’t this too big, Erik?" Aryana asked still awed by the size and beauty of the manor.

"Honey, we are going to have three more kids so this is just right."

When Aryana heard what Erik said, she glared at him.

Erik chuckled. He swept a strand of hair that fell on her forehead and he kissed the tip of her nose gently.

The action was witnessed by the people who were standing at the main entrance of the manor. They were frozen with their mouths agape.

Erik crouched down and unstrapped the baby from the car seat. Just as he was about to lift the little princess, she opened her dreamy eyes and looked at her father.

Erk’s heart melted and he laughed heartily.

He carefully placed her against his chest supporting her back.

Aryana felt a burning gaze coming from above. But when she looked up, there was only the empty balcony.

"Let’s go inside. I hope you’ll like our new home."

"I definitely will."

Aryana did not walk side by side with Erik but instead, she walked behind him. She was trying to observe baby Erika as her cute eyes seemed to observe her surroundings.

Erik stopped at the middle of the living room. Only then did Aryana remove her gaze from baby Erika and observe her surroundings.

"It is really you!"
