"What did you say?" Elder Mu asked, his eyes narrowing as he gazed coldly at Erik.

"Grandpa..." Erik said in a gentle and polite tone. He was acting as if he was the real grandchild of Mu Heng. "Since your granddaughter is staying at your mansion and I am your granddaughter’s husband, then shouldn’t I be staying at the same house as my wife? Besides, I also want to know more about my wife’s family. I only knew about her father."

The bodyguard frowned but he assisted Mu Lan by letting her hold his hand. It was only then that Mu Feng realized there was somebody else in the room and he was wearing a mask that covered half his face.

"Who are you?" Mu Feng asked the man warily.

"I am the bodyguard that your grandfather hired to watch over Madam Mu Lan."

"My grandfather hired you? Why would he do that? Where did you come from?" He scanned the bodyguard from head to toe. He looked familiar but he could not remember where he met him. The mask on his face also hid his facial features.

"You can go look for your grandfather and ask him, Mr. Mu."

"Where is Nanny Wan? Why are you the only one here?" Mu Feng asked suspiciously.

"Brother! Aunt Wan get home to get some fresh clothes." Mu Lan sized him up "Did you just arrive from the airport?"

Mu Feng nodded hesitantly.

"Why don’t you go home and rest first? You might be tired as you came from the other side of the globe." Mu Lan spoke gently.

The bodyguard looked at her gloomily. How could she talk to another man with such gentleness?

"I was worried about you. I wanted to fly home when I heard that you were hospitalized but I was in a middle of an important business deal." Mu Feng pulled a chair and sat beside the bed. Mu Lan sat back on the edge of the bed, her legs swinging.

"It wasn’t serious as you think. I just have a headache. You should go home and rest brother. You have dark circles under your eyes." Mu Land said out of concern.

"Don’t worry about me. I am not that weak. Have you eaten?" He asked while checking the time.

"Yes, I have. You haven’t eaten yet?" Mu Lan looked at the clock on the wall. It was almost 9:00 pm.

"I have eaten on the plane." Mu Feng eyed the bodyguard again. How could his grandpa allow a stranger to be with Mu Lan alone in a room? As a bodyguard, shouldn’t he be just outside watching at the door?

Mu Lan noticed the glare that Mu Feng was giving the bodyguard.

"This is Ken Lee. He is not just a bodyguard but he is also a nurse." Mu Lan introduced the bodyguard awkwardly. She understood why Mu Feng was wary of the bodyguard. Even if she was pregnant, she was still a woman after all but weren’t there male doctors and nurses? Besides Mu Lan felt comfortable around Ken.

"Did the doctor say when will you be discharged?" Mu Feng asked. He was really uncomfortable having a male bodyguard around her.

"The doctor said that I can be discharged tomorrow." Mu Lan responded. She also wanted to leave the hospital badly.

"That is good to hear then." Mu Feng stood and walked toward the couch. He sat down and make himself comfortable.

The bodyguard looked at the clock then at Mu Feng and the door.

Mu Feng glared at him. Was he trying to chase him away?

"Mr. Mu, it is already past the visiting time. The patient needed to rest. You can come back tomorrow." Ken the bodyguard said nonchalantly.

"Are you chasing me away?" He asked coldly.

"Please be reasonable. You just came from the airport. You are not even wearing a mask. What if you contracted a virus while abroad? Madam Mu Lan is pregnant and can easily get infected."
