Aryana and Elaine visited Vince and Jessa in their new condominium that they purchased two months ago. It was a two-bedroom unit with a living room, and a small kitchen and dining area. Vince converted the second bedroom into his work area where he drew his designs. Jessa and his mother-in-law sew the samples before sending them to the factory for production.

Jessa and her mother-in-law took short-term courses in dressmaking and after a lot of practice, they became experts in making dresses. Their workmanship was very neat and durable turning the finished product into high-quality clothes.

Vince showed Aryana his entries for the prestigious fashion design competition. He participated in two categories. The first one was formal evening wear and the other one was casual wear.

His first design was an evening gown called the Galaxy at Night. The hemline of the flowing skirt was like the horizon that glowed a haunting green, silhouetting the trees, then the green merged into a glowing blue and black. The bodice was the color of the dark night sky, dotted by hundreds of star-shaped sequins in varying hues of yellow. It gave an impression of millions of stars randomly scattered across the galaxy. The design was radical and it made the wearer look stunning.

For casual wear, his design was a peach-printed off-shoulder crop top and palazzo pants. The fabric was mostly cotton making it comfortable. The design was simple but it brought but it highlighted the figure and the natural beauty of the wearer.

Aryana was very happy with the designs. Ariel recommended a ramp model for her. She was as tall as Aryana and was more slender with a flatter chest. These were the attributes of a good model. However a day before the competition, the model got sick and was hospitalized.

"We don’t have time to look for a new model," Elaine said worriedly. "How about you do it?"

"I don’t have experience walking on the ramp. Besides, my body is really not suited for ramp modeling." Aryana sighed.

"Who told you that?" Elaine fished out her cell phone and showed Aryana the list of famous models who are curvy and with big boobs.

In the end, Aryana was convinced, or rather she was left with no choice. Vince and Jessa did last-minute alterations to the clothes. They made sure that the gown and the dress perfectly fitted Aryana.

The night before the fashion show, Aryana was restless. She was in the gym in her seven centimeters shoes practicing her walk.

When Erik arrived, he did not find Aryana in the living room. She was not in the kitchen nor she was in the bedroom. Erik checked the gym and he was surprised to see Aryana wearing high heels while walking in a straight line in the gym.

"What are you doing?" He wrapped his strong arms around her slim waist and pulled her close.

"You startled me. I did not hear you come."

"It is because you are so serious," Erik whispered in her ear.

Aryana wriggled out of his embrace. She turned around to face him and place a quick kiss on his cheek.

"The model we hired for tomorrow’s fashion show has gotten sick. We do not have enough time to look for a new one so I was forced to replace her with Elaine." Aryana said while helping Erik undo his necktie.

"CoChi will have a bigger chance of winning then. What time is the fashion show?"

"It is at 7:00 pm at the Pearl Hotel. Are you free tomorrow?" Aryana looked at Erik expectantly.

Erik looked conflicted. "Oh, I have a very important dinner tomorrow."

A disappointed look flashed across Aryana’s face for a fleeting moment but a smile replaced it.

"Go change first. I’ll prepare the table. I tried a new recipe and I hope you’ll like it. I’ll resume my practice after eating."

Erik obediently headed to the bedroom while Aryana went to the kitchen to get the food. After fifteen minutes Erik was back. He was standing at the entrance of the dining room in a cotton T-Shirt and matching shorts. His hair was still slightly damp. He was gently looking at the woman in an apron who was busy blending various fruits.

A warm feeling engulfed him and a smile blossomed on his face. He was lucky to have married this beautiful woman. In her, he found not only warmth but also something deeper that he could not fathom at the moment.

"What are you still standing there? Let us eat while the food is still hot."

Erik pulled a chair for her. "Hmm. The food smells nice." Erik lifted his nose and sniffed the air.

"This is hickory chops with asparagus and herbs." Aryana picked up the fork and the knife, sliced a portion, and brought it toward Erik’s mouth.

"It is delicious," Erik said happily. His wife was very sweet. He reciprocated her actions.

Aryana giggled. "Let us eat properly now otherwise, it will take us a long time to finish."

After a delightful dinner, Aryana brought the plates and other utensils to the sink.

"Since you cooked, I’ll do the dishes." Erik volunteered.

Aryana was about to protest when the doorbell chimed. She looked at her cell phone. It was connected to the penthouse’s security system. She hurried to the door when she saw it was Marlon.

"Where is Erik?"

"He is in the kitchen. Did you have dinner?"

Marlon nodded then proceeded to the kitchen. He paused at the door and was shocked to see Erik wearing an apron and doing the dishes.

’Is he the powerful and domineering CEO who always tortured me with work?’ Marlon hurriedly snapped a few photos before putting his phone t back into his pocket.

Erik put back the cleaned plates on the drying rack and dried his hands with the hand towel. When he turned around he saw Marlon smirking at him.

"When did the mighty CEO of Gaeya Corporation learn to wash dishes?" Marlon asked a hint of amusement was on his eyes.

"Maria has something to do. Why are you here?"

"I have something urgent to tell you."
