"I am not interested to know. Their designs are only on so-so. It is not up to my standard." Cassie hung up when she saw another incoming call.

"Cassie, have you heard about CoChi?" Marriane asked from the other line.

Cassie released an impatient sigh. "What’s with you, people? And what’s with CoChi? Earlier, Ana my assistant also asked the same question."

"Shouldn’t you be worried? ChoChi is taking the internet by storm. Many teenagers and young adults are raving about their designs. They say that indeed the clothes are an embodiment of the brand which means Cool and Chic." Marianne was breathless on the other line.

"I don’t care about them for as long they are not the competitor of Timeless Beauty and they are not stealing my customers." Cassie’s voice showed her indifferent attitude.

"Do you know that it is Aryana Jones who is aggressively promoting the dresses of CoChi? Her fan base also increased. She now has over five million followers. She has become a fashion trendsetter. Many of her fans are saying that she is the Goddess of Fashion. She became that because of CoChi."

Cassie finally paid full attention to what Marianne was saying.

"When did it start? How come I didn’t hear about it previously?"

"She has been trending in the past three days. She posted a sundress and she was in a luxurious yacht. There is another photo where she was riding a horse and wearing coffee-colored jeans and an off-white long-sleeved blouse. The one with the most likes and shares, is her wearing a one-piece swimsuit with a gauze-like coverall. All of her outfits are from CoChi."

"Maybe those outfits were designed by the famous international designer Mu Feng. I saw his work in many of the fashion shows I participated in back in Italy and they are quite good. I believe he has gotten an agreement with Aryana to promote his designs." Cassie said matter-of-factly.

"Oh, I thought that CoChi is a local brand." Marianne was doubtful.

"Maybe Mu Feng opened a branch here. After all, many people in Central District have a good sense when it comes to fashion."

"Oh, I see. By the way, how is Timeless Beauty? I have recommended the skin care products to my friends and to the employees of our company."

Cassie became gloomy. "Well, the sales are quite good but the operating expenses and overhead are quite high. So as of now, I am not making any profit but it is just a break even." Cassie released a long sigh.

"Do you know that CoChi doesn’t even have a physical store yet? They are purely an online store and yet their market share is getting bigger by the day." Marianne became a little bit excited.

"Are you my friend or the friend of CoChi’s owner?" Cassie sounded displeased.

"Of course, I am your best friend. That is why I am suggesting why not follow CoChi’s operating model and sell aggressively online?"

Cassie tapped on the speaker. She stood from the bed, went to the window, and gazed at the garden below. She was thinking deeply and was silent for some time.

"Hey, Cassie, are you still there?" Marianne asked anxiously.

"Yeah. I’m thinking of what you said right now. I’ll open another department to promote Timeless Beauty online."

"Have you ever thought that maybe Cassie has a special relationship with the owner of CoChi? Why would she relentlessly promote the CoChi products?" Marianne’s gossipmonger mode was activated.

"I don’t think that should be the case. Aryana is with Erik now. They publicly flaunted their relationship during the party we celebrated for Erik’s birthday. The one you missed." Cassie said gloomily.

"What? Erik and Aryana are together?" Marianne’s shrill voice came from the other line.

Cassie was filled with hatred that her voice turned icy. "I don’t know what she did but she succeeded. Erik is into her now and he does not bother hiding that in front of us. They were lovey-dovey during the party."

"You should have slapped her and ruined her face. That slut doesn’t deserve Erik at all."

"She definitely doesn’t. But Erik is so protective of her. He even ignored me because of her." Cassie’s face was contorted and her voice was ugly.

After a few more small talks, Cassie hung up the call. She then looked at Aryana’s social media account. She was busy in the past few days that she did not have time to check the entertainment news. Aryana posted a lot of photos but the one with the most likes as Marianne said was the one where she was in a black swimsuit. It was not even a two-piece yet a lot of netizens were commenting on how lovely she was. They said that the gauze-like coverall made her look innocent but more alluring.

Cassie frowned and focused on the background. She hasn’t seen the beach before. She remembered Erik telling them that he spent his birthday somewhere in the Pacific. She was not stupid and she deduced that Aryana’s photo was taken on that beach.

She scrolled down and the photo of Aryana wearing a white sundress with little blue flowers accentuating the hemline appeared on the screen. She was wearing a matching straw hat, a tote bag made from native materials, and a white flip-flop. She scanned through the comments and she gritted her teeth when she saw that a lot of her followers said that they already placed an order for the sundress.

The next photo showed Aryana standing beside a dark brown horse. She looked regal like a professional equestrian. In the other photo, she was sitting astride a galloping horse, and her long hair was being blown by the wind. She was laughing widely which showed a vivid picture of her two dimples. The one who took the picture has great skills. Was it Erik? But then she saw the photo of a man at the back riding on a horse. Though the background was blurry, she could tell that it was Erik.

Her heart ached. She remembered the time that she went horseback riding with Erik. It was he who taught her how to ride a horse. It seemed a long time ago. Erik was so gentle to her at that time and he only had eyes for her and no one else mattered to him. She really regretted leaving him.

"No, I cannot give up. I must win Erik back! Married couple can divorce so It is not impossible for them to break up."
