Chapter 155: Erik, You Are Here

The arms that engulfed her felt very familiar, and so was his scent. She didn’t have to turn around or hear him speak to know who it was.

"Erik, you’re here. Oh my gosh, you’re bleeding," she whispered.

Erik hugged her tightly. He closed his eyes, trying not to remember the scene he witnessed a few minutes ago. That scene when that lunatic raised his hand and tried to slash Aryana’s face.

He trembled from both fear and anger. He did not feel the pain in his hand until Aryana spoke and told him that he was bleeding.

Aryana turned to look at Erik. Her eyes were filled with worry.

"Take off your coat," she said as she helped him take it off. As she unbuttoned the button on the wrist of his sleeve, she gently rolled it up to reveal a distressing sight. A wince escaped her lips as she caught sight of the cut on his hand, about eight centimeters from his wrist.

Aryana took out her handkerchief and bandaged his wound to stop the bleeding. "Let’s get you to the hospital." Aryana was so focused on Erik that she forgot about the man who attacked her.

Soon, two of Erik’s bodyguards approached them and led them to the car. Aryana went around the other side and entered the car from there. Erik was already inside the car when she entered.

Aryana called Elaine. "Hello, Elaine. I’m on my way to the hospital. Please bring my bag with you."

"What? What happened? Are you hurt?" Elaine’s voice was loud.

"It isn’t me. Remember the guy we met in the morning?"

"The one at the elevator?"

"No, the one with the nose ring who asked for my autograph." .

"Yeah. He did look like someone who has bad intentions."

"Yes. He attacked me when I went out of the restroom. But someone came and saved me. Please tell Clark and John that I’m not coming back." Aryana told Elaine, and then she hung up.

She then gazed at Erik with a worried look in her eyes.

"Are you in pain?" She checked the bandage, and blood was still seeping. The white handkerchief has turned crimson. Aryana tried to apply pressure to stop the bleeding.

"It is just a small cut. This is nothing." He pulled Aryana using his left hand, which was not injured. "Honey, what do I do with you? No matter where you are, you always attract trouble."

"That man told me that someone paid him to harm me. He targeted my face so that ’someone’ wanted to ruin me." She sounded worried.

Erik caressed her hair. "Don’t worry. I will look into it. We have already captured that man, and he is currently being interrogated."

"By the way, what brings you here? You did not tell me you are coming over. Do you have business here?" Aryana was curious why Erik was in Batan.

"If I did not come, then that knife would have cut your face." Erik grazed his thumb over her face.

"The man knows martial arts. I could not defeat him. He said he was a black belter." Aryana said gloomily. "I really need to train more to protect myself ." She glanced at Erik. "You still haven’t answered me as to why you are here in Batan.

"I missed you," Erik whispered into her ear. He gently nibbled on her ear lobes.

"Behave yourself, Mr. CEO. You are injured."

"Miss, we are now at the hospital." The driver interrupted their conversation.

Back at Island Bar, Elaine explained that something happened to Aryana and that she was on her way to the hospital. She told them that someone attacked Aryana and also someone saved her and got hurt in the process since she was bringing him to the hospital.

"Is Aryana alright?" Both Clark and John asked at the same time.

"Yes. Thankfully, she was not hurt at all. "

The two men heaved a sigh of relief.

’What a pity I did not have a chance to get to know Aryana better. My plan is ruined. I really wanted to get her on my bed tonight.’ John sighed inwardly. He went back to his seat, which was beside Sheena and Tara.

Sheena was pleased when she heard that Aryana was not coming back. John will not be distracted. She can feel right now that John was not rejecting her advances. She must try her best to get into his bed tonight.

Tara was also thinking the same thing as Sheena. When she heard that Aryana was not coming back, she uttered a silent ’Thank You.’ Now, she only needs to get rid of Sheena so John will have his full attention on her.

Clark was contemplating whether to go to the hospital or not. But he did not know which hospital was it. He was also curious as to the identity of the man who saved Aryana.

"Elaine, do you know the man who saved Aryana?" Erik asked, hoping that Elaine knew.

"I’m sorry, but she did not say who it was." Elaine frowned. ’Why would the CEO of Galaxy Entertainment ask about it?’ Elaine wondered.

Back at the hospital, Erik’s wounds were being attended by a doctor and a nurse. Since the cut was quite deep, the doctor had to stitch the cut.

"I would like to check out after suturing my wound," Erik informed the doctor.

"What? Why would you want to check out? Don’t you want to stay here so they can look at the wound?" Aryana asked.

"I can rest better at the hotel. We can go back tomorrow to have the wound dressed." Erik reasoned.

The doctor was hesitant, but after some consideration, he allowed the patient to be discharged.

Erik and Aryana returned to the hotel. Aryana hoped they wouldn’t bump into someone they knew in the elevator.

Unfortunately, fate played a trick on them. When they entered the elevator, Clark was there. He was surprised to see Erik and Aryana together, so he decided to leave the bar earlier. As more alcohol was poured, the people in the VIP were getting bolder and wilder.

Clark could not take it anymore, so he decided to go ahead and get back to the hotel. Who would have thought that he would bump into Erik and Aryana? He saw the bandage on Erik’s hand. So, the man who saved Aryana was really Erik, not some random man.

Clark greeted Erik with surprise. "I am surprised to see you here, Erik," he said, starting a conversation. "Do you have a business meeting here?"

"No. I am here for pleasure." Erik’s reply was curt.

Aryana did not know what to do, and she did not know how to react to Erik’s words just now.

Clark glanced at Aryana. "I heard from Elaine that you were attacked when you went to the restroom. I hope that you are okay." Clark’s tone was professional. "Do you need help to file a police report?"

Aryana didn’t think about it earlier, but now, after being reminded, it would make sense to file a police report.

"I forgot about the police report..."

"Don’t worry. My men already took care of the reporting." Clark cut in.

The elevator dinged. It was Aryana’s and Clark’s floor. Aryana hesitated. She threw a questioning look at Erik, who stood rooted at the ground and had no intention of getting out.

"I’m on the top floor." He announced.

"Good night, Aryana. Have a wonderful sleep." He then walked towards his room while Aryana was hesitating at the door.

Aryana was about to go to the shower when she heard someone knock on her door. She opened the door and was not surprised to see Erik standing there. She hurriedly pulled Erik inside. "Someone might see you."

"Are you ashamed of me?" Erik teased her.

Aryana was flustered. "Is it okay with you if other people see you staying in my room?"

"What is wrong with me staying in your room? I am your husband."

"But they don’t know that you are my husband."

"You want to declare our relationship public?" Erik asked her.

"No, not now." Aryana was not sure why she said that.

Erik looked disappointed, but then he had his issues that he should resolve first before announcing his marriage to Aryana.

"How is your wound? Does it still hurt?"

"I don’t feel that I have a wound at all." Aryana felt assured.

"Let us go to sleep. You must be exhausted from the trip." Aryana helped him remove his upper garment.

"Yes, I am very tired." He said as he lay down on the bed and closed his eyes

Aryana remembered that she left her bag at the bar, so she called Elaine and told her just to keep the bag and return it to her the following morning.

"Did you know that I couldn’t sleep well last night? My insomnia flared up, and no matter how much I tried to sleep, I couldn’t."

"You have insomnia?"
