Chapter 154: She Was Attacked!

Clark went over to Aryana. "Good job Aryana. Your photos and videos looked great! John Reeves is very happy. He’ll treat everyone to dinner."

Aryana looked around to look for John and his assistant but they were nowhere.

"John has an appointment so he needed to go back ahead of us."

Aryana hummed.

"Aryana come ride with me." Clark’s tone would not take no for an answer. Aryana hesitated. She wanted to ride with Elaine and Amy so she can chat with them but cannot say no Clark. She messages Elaine and Amy that she will be riding with Clark.

Aryana thought they were taking a limousine but the car that stop in front of them was a Chevrolet.

Clark opened the door for her before he went to the other and got into the car.

The car was driving at normal speed. Aryana was looking at the scenery outside.

Clark cleared his throat to attract her attention. Aryana turned her head to look at him.

"Looks like John likes you." Clark looked at her. "What do you think of him?"

"He is an experienced model. He can get into the charm really fast. He also handsome." Aryana gave her honest assessment.

Clark cast her a gloomy gaze. "Be careful around him. Foreigners are normally sweet talkers. Do not fall into his trap." He warned her.

"Don’t worry Clark I know what to do."

Aryana looked out and noticed that the scenery looked different from when they left the hotel.

"Is this the way to the hotel? Aryana asked.

"You are very observant. I’m going to show you something."

The car stopped near a cliff. Clark once again opened the door for her. He led her to a viewing deck. It was in time for the sunset.

"Batan is known for its spectacular sunsets. A lot of tourists won’t miss watching the sunset when they are here." Clark pointed to the west. "Look! Isn’t it beautiful?"

"You are right. The sunset is indeed spectacular." Aryana took out her cellphone and took a selfie with the sunset as the background. "It is a pity that Elaine and Amy missed this."

They did not stay long in the viewing deck. They went back to the car and drove to the hotel.

"There is another project next month and the compensation is big I’ll give it to you."

"Thank you Clark. Why are you so good to me?"

Clark looked at her with then he looked away. His eyes were filled with complicated emotions.

"Well, dad wanted me to take care of you and help you in every way possible." Clark said nonchalantly. ’He wants you to be his daughter in law and I am starting to like you.’ He added silently.

They spent the rest of the ride in silence. Aryana pretended to close her eyes to take a nap while Clark pretended to be busy with his laptop. In reality he was watching Aryana. He wanted to tell Aryana that he will pursue her, but maybe this not the time yet.

They arrived at the hotel in no time.

"Dinner is a 7:00pm." Clark reminded her.

Aryana came down together with Elaine and Amy. She was wearing a blue smocked ruffle mini dress with flowy sleeveless and a square neck.

"No matter what dress you wear, you always look good." Elaine scanned her from head to toe, her eyes filled with admiration.

When the elevator door opened, John and his assistant were inside and on their way to the restaurant.

"What a coincidence Aryana." John said as he held the elevator door open for the three of them. His eyes lingered on Aryana’s exposed collarbone. "After dinner, I would like to invite you ladies to ’The Island.’ Do you know that place?"

"Sure Mr. Reeves. We also intend to visit that famous bar." Amy answered before Aryana did. By Aryana’s expression she knew that she will reject the invitation.

"I have been there a few times but it is Aryana’s and Elaine’s first time. Right Ayana?" Amy glanced at Aryana conveying her message through her eyes. ’Aryana, be good and entertain our sponsor.

"It is actually my first time in this beautiful island." Aryana responded to Amy’s prodding.

The elevator dinged. John held the elevator open and let the ladies came out first before walking beside Aryana.

Clark was already at the restaurant when they arrived and so were Sheena and Tara who were dressed sexily in a tight fitting sleeveless and mini dress. They were looking at John expectantly but John joined Clark and Aryana in their table. Sheena and Tara where infuriated but there is nothing they can do about it.

"Aryana, I know a modeling agency in the US. Should you be interested I can introduce you to the CEO. You have a lot of potential." John was looking at Aryana who was seated across him.

"Modeling is just my hobby John. I am actually working in a company."

"I offered her an a full time contract but she also rejected me." Clark interjected.

"What a pity. You have the makings of an international model. Anyway if you change your mind you can always get in touch with me." He handed a card to Aryana which she accepted.

After dinner they went to directly to the bar. John asked Aryana to join him in the car but she declined and ride with Clark instead.

"I did not notice Antonio in the restaurant. Have you seen him?" Aryana inquired from Clark.

"He went directly to the airport as he has another appointment." Clark replied.

When their car arrived, Clark opened the door for Aryana. He was a real gentleman. They entered the VIP room together. Aryana saw Sheena and Tara where also there along with the director and assistant director. Amy and Elaine arrived a little later.

The last to enter the VIP room were John and his assistant. Aryana was not in the mood. An ominous feeling enveloped her which she was trying to shrug away.

John ordered cocktails for the ladies and brandy for the others. He also ordered some wine. Sheena was clearly seducing John. Tara on the other hand showed some restraint.

John clearly showed the irritation on his face at Sheena’s advances. "Behave yourself." He snapped at her. If Aryana was not around, he would welcome such advances, but tonight his aim was to seduce Aryana and not to be seduced by some cheap slut. However Clark was always on guard. ’Is Aryana his woman?’

Clark took out his cellphone and excused himself saying that he needed to answer a call. John smiled slyly. He was thankful for that call.

He stood up, poured wine on a wineglass that he asked from the waiter. He shamelessly sat down on the spot previously occupied by Clark and handed Aryana a glass.

"I would like to propose a toast to Aryana for a job well done today. I hope that the commercials will bring the Reeves Company a lot of profit. I look forward to more collaboration in the future." He lifted his glass towards Aryana. Aryana clinked his glass with him and downed the entire glass.

Sheena and Tara looked at Aryana enviously. It was very clear that John Reeves fancy her.

Aryana felt dizzy. She did not anticipate that the wine that John poured her was quite stronger. She took her cellphone and stood up, however she staggered. John reached out and held her by the waist to steady her.

"Thank you. I am okay now." Aryana said politely and brushed his hands away. She steadied herself before exiting the VIP room and headed to the rest room.

She splashed her face with the cold water and after sometime she left rest room.

"We meet again my goddess." It was the man with the nose earring whom she met in the morning.

"Excuse me. I need to go back. Please step aside." She said calmly.

The man stepped aside. Aryana walked forward but she felt a sudden pain on her scalp. The man grasped her hair and dragged her inside the rest room for person with disability. He pinned Aryana on the wall.

The room seemed to be spinning. The wine started to take its toll on Aryana. The man was about to kiss her when Aryana bent her knees and delivered a blow on his crotch. The man grimaced in pain.

While her attacker was distracted, Aryana scrambled towards the door and opened it.

"Help!" She screamed. She felt weak and dizzy.

The man dragged her inside. She kicked him in the stomach but he dodged.

"Sorry to disappoint you but I am a black belt." He took out a knife and stabbed Aryana but she dodged.

"I wanted to play with you and give you pleasure before ruining your face but you’re making it difficult so ill just go directly to my mission. What a pity, such a beautiful face. Unfortunately someone wanted it ruined."

Aryana stepped back until her back was against the wall beside door. The man raised his hand to stab Aryana but she dodged again and at the same time she opened the door and stepped back

The man was enraged. He slashed targeting Aryana’s face. Aryana was pulled back and engulfed by two strong hands. The knife hit the arm that hugged her. She lifted her right foot and kicked the hand that was holding the knife.

A tall bulky man entered the restroom and tackled her attacker.

Something warm and sticky fell on Aryana’s hand. It was blood!
