"You are so smart Aryana. You guessed it." Elaine grinned at her.

"Thank you so much for your loyalty and fervor in fighting my enemies." Aryana’s gratefulness was heartfelt. She was lucky to meet a friend like her.

"I am your avid fan. Of course I will protect you from the online bullies. Kidding aside, I think someone is trying to ruin your reputation." The concern in Elaine’s voice was apparent as she shared her thoughts to Aryana.

"I am not doing anything so they will not succeed." Aryana declared with confidence.

She went to see Erik at his office after her meeting with Elaine.

"Are you going out?" Aryana asked Erik when she saw him stacked away the documents on his desk and turned off his laptop.

"Yes. Yana, I will not be having dinner at home. Grandpa asked me to help out Cassie on some things related to her company."

Aryana felt disappointed and an uneasy feeling nagged at her heart. But she saw an opening to ask Erik about last night.

"I watched the press conference last night. Cassie looked like a promising CEO. She has the making of a good one." Aryana tried to make her voice sound very casual.

Erik paused and looked at her. ’Wasn’t that what he said last night. Is she jealous? But she seemed nonchalant about it.’

"Yeah. I initially wanted to invest 10% but her business plan is good so I increased it to 20%."

Aryana’s chest tightened. She knew she cannot hide the disappointment in her eyes so she looked down.

’If I told Erik about my business plan, will he support me like he does with Cassie?’

"I’ll go visit Jessa in the hospital then. Come home early and be safe." She said.

Erik frowned. "You visited yesterday. You are going back again today?" Erik was displeased.

"I’ll be bored at home." Her answer was brief. She was throwing back at Erik the reason for her wanting to visit the hospital.

Erik released a long breath. He approached Aryana and kissed her gently on the forehead.

"I’ll head out now. Don’t stay late at the hospital."

They left Erik’s office together. Aryana returned to her cubicle and continued working as it was only 4pm.

She clocked out at 5pm, went home and changed into a black jeans and a cute yellow blouse that came from Mu Feng. She took a selfie and posted the photo on her social media account. She captured the photo, ’A pretty yellow casual top from Artisan Collection.’

She opened the drawer of the bedside table and took out the notebook of Vince. Underneath was the blue folder Clark handed her when she was at the hospital. She took it as well. She grabbed her hoodie and wore her black rimmed eye glasses. She texted her driver and told her to wait for her at the basement.

Erik bought her a car and assigned a driver to her after the kidnapping incident in the Blue Bays residences. Initially Erik wanted to buy her a Maybach but she refused as it was too expensive for her. She asked for a Honda Civic instead.

She started to study driving. Her driver was a very careful driver who obeyed traffic rules and never go beyond the speed limit. When Aryana asked him to teach her how to drive he was hesitant at first. He got Aryana a student license and he found out that Aryana was a fast learner and she could already drive after two hours of practice.

"Good afternoon Ben. Where you able to apply for a driver’s license for me?" She greeted him politely.

"Yes Ma’am. You can go to the traffic bureau for the driving and written exams. But I suggest that you practice more."

"Okay, I’ll practice more. For now let’s go back to the hospital."

While on the way to the hospital, Aryana studied the proposal. The resources that will be provided for her and the compensation was very tempting. The catch however was for her to leave her current work as she needed to spend more time on shooting.

Aryana thought long and hard. What does she really want? She wanted to setup her own business empire and she needed experience for this. Modeling was just a hobby for her and it will continue to be that way. She made up her mind.

She bought flowers, a fruit basket and food take out that was light and healthy and brought them to room 501.

Jessa was awake when she visited and Vince was feeding her porridge. Aryana smiled at the scene that greeted her. Vince was very gentle with Jessa. She could see the love in his eyes as he fed his wife.

’A man who would do everything for love. I hope that their love will survive all the trials that will come their way.’

"Miss Jones you are here." Vince greeted her excitedly.

She smiled and handed Vince the flowers, the fruit basket and the food take out which he happily accepted and placed on top of the small table.

"Babe, this is the angel I told you about. I tried to kidnap her but even then she still helped me."

Jessa smiled weakly and her eyes reddened. "Thank you so much Miss Jones." She said in a soft voice. Aryana could feel the sincerity in her gentle voice.

"Both of you cut the formality. You can call me Aryana from now on as we are friends. How are you feeling Jessa?"

"I still feel dizzy and weak but I am better than yesterday." She said.

"That’s good then. Is she allowed to eat already?" Aryana’s question was for Vince.

"The doctor said she can eat porridge."

Jessa told Vince that she was full. Vince handed her a glass of water and he helped her settle back on the bed. He adjusted the bed so Jessa was lying down but her upper body was inclined by about 30 degrees.

In no time, Jessa fell asleep.

"She still sleeps most of the time. I asked the doctor about it and he said it was normal and she is recovering well."

"That’s good then." She paused and took the notebook from her bag.

"Vince, I am here for another matter. I thought that your designs are very good. I’m asking someone’s help to convert these designs into products and I’ll endorse them online first. For the profit let’s split 50-50."

Vince’s eyes widened. He was thanking his lucky star silently. What luck did he has to meet this exceptional lady?
