"You know how pregnant women have some kind of cravings sometimes, she really wants to go out and she wants your chariot please."

Oberon bit her lips, "Uh.. I see, okay, let me go and see her too."

Due bit her lips, "Okay, let us go then."

They both went to their chambers, Selena was running her tummy when they got in.

Oberon grinned, "Love," he went to her bedside and hugged her.

Selena smiled slightly, "Oh, Oberon," she blushed.

"Due said you want to go out with the chariot, will you be fine?"

She smiled slightly, "Yes, I just want to go around the kingdom for a while."

Oberon nodded, "Okay, I will send some guards with you."

She looked at Due with widened eyes. Due quickly intervened, "I will go with her, there is no need for a guard to follow us."

Oberon frowned, "No, a guard should go with you, Selena is pregnant, it is in the early stages and of course I would not want to risk anything."

"No, I will be fine, do not worry about me," Selena shook her head.

"No, I want you to be safe at all times, I will not risk anything," he said firmly.

He stood and went out of the room. Selena gulped, "What are we supposed to do? No one can know about this?"

"Do not be scared, I got this, do you not trust me anymore?"

Selena looked worried, "I hate these kind of matters, he is making this complicated," she bit her lips.

Due exhaled, "Calm, you do not have to be so worried, must you worry over everything?"

"I can not help it, what if someone goes wrong?"

Due smirked, "I got everything covered," she winked at her.

Oberon came back in, a guard behind him.

"I would want you to follow her everywhere she goes. Make sure she is safe and nothing happens to her, I do not want a scratch, and I mean it, not a scratch."

The guard nodded, "Yes your majesty," he bowed.

Oberon nodded, "Good, I must take my leave."

Selena nodded, "Bye, Oberon."

He smiled and walked out of the room.

Due turned to face the guard, "Come here," she motioned for him to come.

He came closer and bowed slightly, "Yes your highness?"

She took out her necklace, "Here, take this," she gave it to him, "Now, you will not follow us anywhere, just pretend you did so."

He gasped, "But his majes.."

"Did you not hear what I said? You are to pretend you followed us, make sure you say nothing about this," she furrowed her brows.

He thinned her lips, "I.. what if he finds out about it?"

"Why are you saying all of this?" Selena frowned.

He dropped his gaze, "Sorry your highness, I did not mean to offend you," he bit his lips.

Selena nodded, "That is much better," she looked away.

He took the necklace from her shyly, "Thank.. you your majesty," he bowed to Selena and headed to the door.

"Why are you going that way? What if someone sees you?"

He turned around feeling a bit confused, "Uh.. sorry your majesty," he sighed.

Due pointed to the balcony, "Go that way," she said sternly.

"Yes your highness," he went that way, his head dropped.

When he was gone, Selena exhaled deeply, "That was a close one, we just have to go there before Oberon notices."

"You are right, let us be quick,"Due said.

"Is it still far off?" Due groaned.

"I think we are almost there," Selena replied.

"You think?"

"Yeah, says the map," she drawled.

Due was the one riding the chariot since there was no one following them, for the fear their secret would be exposed.

"We can do this, just a little more and we will be there."

"Saying it because it is that easy for you," Due shook her head.

Selena rolled her eyes, "It is not my fault I am the pregnant one here," she pouted.

Due looked at her with the corner of her eyes, a sneer on her face.

"Indeed," she shook her head as she would if a five year old child said something stupid.

"Just a few yards more," she pointed to a small cottage.

"Are we close?"

"Yes, the map says to go just a few yards more."

"Thank the moon goodness," she closed her eyes and exhaled.

They arrived at the cottage, "Here we are?"

"Yes, this is it," Selena grinned.

They both got down from the chariot, "Let us hope he is at home," Selena put her hand together.

"Hopefully," Due raised her palms.

They walked to the door, Due knocked on the door, "Is anyone at home?"

There was no response.

"Do you think he is home?" Selena asked worriedly.

"I hope so, let me knock harder," she exhaled and knocked again.

There was silence for a while, "Why is he not responding?" Selena was getting frustrated.

"Be calm, it is not like he is going to solve your problems the minute you see him," she drawled.

"I want to see him, I just want to."

Due held her head, You will get over this," she held her head.

Selena knocked loudly on the door, "Come on! Who is at home please!"

Due looked at her shocked, "What is the matter with you?" She held her hand.

The door creaked open and a head peeked, "Who is it?"

Selena looked at Due, a hint of pride in her eyes.

"We would like to see the seer, please," Selena straightened her face .

"For what reason?" The person asked.

"That would be known to him, that is not for you," Due interrupted.

The door was shut again.

"He shut the door?" Selena asked in disbelief.

After some seconds the door was opened, "You may come in," he led the way for them.

They followed him quietly, till they got to the seer’s shrine.

"Here they are master," he bowed.

A small old man sat in the middle of the room. Candles were set around him, he sat in a meditative posture, his eyes half closed, his legs crossed, his hands put together.

"What is the reason for your visit?"

Due and Selena exchanged glances, "Actually," Selena spoke up,"I came to ask a few questions."

"You may proceed," he said calmly.

"Great seer, I am barren and have found my mate, I am wondering why, I am not fertile."

He raised his head to look at her, "You are barren? Are you not Selena?"

Selena drew her head backwards in surprise, but agreed, "Yes,great one."

He smiled, "Who is your mate?"

"He is Alpha Oberon."

He raised his head shocked, "Oberon? What makes you think your mate is Oberon?"

Selena exchanged glances with Due, "I do not quite get you."

"Oberon is not your mate."

She gasped loudly, "What?"

He frowned deeply, "Oberon was never your mate, is not your mate and can never be your mate."

Selena’s jaws dropped, "Wh.. are you saying?"

"I am only telling you the truth. You can not be fertile while being with him, there is no way that can happen."

Selena held her chest, feeling weak, "But why? Who then is my mate?" She managed to ask.

"His beta," came the reply.

Due widened her eyes in shock, "What? Mark is her mate? She is the Luna!"

"She was never meant to be the Luna, it is not in her horoscope, the moon goodness did not include that for you."

She was too weak to say anything else, she just rested her head on Due’s shoulder trying to recover from the shocking news she just received.

"As long as you are with him, there is no way you can produce a heir, you are not meant produce a heir for the pack, that is not for you at all."

"Who is it for then? Due asked on behalf of her sister.

"For the woman who is rightfully his mate, the one he dumped for her," he pointed at Selena.

She was speechless, still trying to comport herself, how could she stop being a Luna one day and the wife of a beta the next?

"There is nothing I can do, there is no solution unless she goes back to her rightful mate."

Due palmed her face, too weak to say anything else.

"You may leave," his servant told them, "Your stay here is no longer a necessity."

Due stood up and helped Selena to stand up since she was finding it hard to stand up on her own.

"Thank you so much seer," Due thanked him and left with Selena.

When they got to the chariot, Selena broke down in tears, "Mark can not be my mate!"

"What are we going to do now?" She cried.

"I do not know what to say."

"No way this is happening to me! No! I will not accept this! I can not accept this!"
