Nyx walked out of the house, she looked ahead of her, her heart still skipping beats.

"I have to think of a way to keep my son safe, with Oberon around, everything might go wrong."

She sighed and walked forward, "I do not know where else to go, this was my last hope," she held her head, her voice breaking.

She sniffed, and raised her head, "What am I going to do now? He actually told Archi that he was his father, and he accepted him just like that."

She breathed in, "He wants his father, unfortunately, his father can not be with him."

"Why is that?"

"That is because he never wanted it in the first pla..." she creased her brows and paused, "Who said that?"

Someone tugged at her arm, and spun her around.

Her heart almost stopped... there he was , staring at her.. she hadn’t been this close in the past six years, doing it today made the hairs on her skin stand.

"I already made a promise, there is no way I am breaking it."

She opened her mouth to say something but no words came out.

He gently let go of her arm and wrapped her in his instead.

She shook her head, "What are you doing? Let me go," she tried to wriggle out of his grip but he held her tighter.

"I do not want to let you go, just stay with me, please."

She shook her head, "Leave me alone, what are you even doing here?"

"I came here for you, I came here because of you."

"I do not want you here, just go away," she tried letting go of his grip on her.

"I am sorry Nyx, I never knew it would turn out this way, I was wrong back then, now I know how precious you really are to me."

She squinted her eyes, "Precious? Now? Well unfortunately for you, I do not care, you can go back to being your king."

He shook her head, "No, I want to take you with me, please."

She shook her head vehemently, "I do not want to be with you, thank you very much, just go away."

He sighed, "I know how you feel, I can feel this resentment in you towards me, it is not your fault," he bit his lips, "All these had been my fault."

"No, I made a mistake accepting to marry you," her eyes teared up, "Go away, I can live very well without you."

He bent his head, he could feel the strong resentment towards him, he wouldn’t blame her though, it was his fault all along.

"I should have learnt to respect what I had then but I could not, it is all my fault and I want to make up for it."

"You do not have to make up for it, just go away, that is better, and please stay away from my son!"

"He is my son too," he said calmly.

She rolled her eyes angrily, "No, he is not," she shook her head.

He bit his lips, "You do have to be so angry, I will make up for everything, just give me a chance."

"I do not want to give you a chance,can you not see that?"

"I do not want to see it, I want you to give me a chance," he replied cooly.

She tried as hard as she could and disengaged from him, "Stay away from me, please."

"I know I offended you, why are you not giving me that chance? Let me make it up to you."

She bent her head, her eyes tearing up, "Leave me alone, you are making it hard for me," she turned around, "Go away, I am very fine without you."

"I know, but I will not rest till you forgive me and I have made it up to you."

"I do not want anything from you, just go away," she took some steps forward.

"Will you just walk away?"

She stopped, "Yes, I do not want to be around you."

"Nyx," he called softly.

Her heart skipped several beats, his voice still weakened her at her knees.

"Just leave," she covered her mouth and continued walking.

He held her hand, "Nyx please do not walk away."

She creased her brows, what did he really want?

"Why? I do not want to have anything to do with you."

"Nyx, I know I have offended you, you are really angry with me, I see the wrong I have done, just give me that chance, please, I am begging you."

She turned to look at him, his eyes were sincere with some hurt in them. She could feel her heart softening.

A hand separated their hands, "She is very much fine without you, she does not need you, stay away from us!" Dora almost yelled.

Nyx looked at her with shock, "I know I should not have intruded but if he had a heart, he should have looked for you all these years."

Nyx’s heart hardened up again, Dora was right, he never did that, why was he doing it all of a sudden?

She hissed angrily, "Hmph, Dora is very right, you do not deserve another chance, just go away from here!"

They both walked out on him.

Oberon watched as they walked back to their small house, "At least, let me talk with him for a while," he pleaded.

Nyx flared up, "Do not ever try going near my son! He almost died because of you!"

Oberon held his head, short of words, Nyx totally hated him now and there was no way to appease her at the moment.

"Just..."

Nyx held Dora’s hand and walked out on Oberon.

Oberon watched them walked out, he felt weak and sat on the grass. For a few seconds, he felt so helpless and vulnerable, "How did it get to this?"

He held his head, blaming himself, "I never knew what I wanted... Now I have lost the diamond I always had."
