Chapter 73: Making everything right

Nyx’s heart skipped a beat, even Dora stopped and looked closely. Her vision seemed to get clearer.

That voice sounded very familiar, "Huh?" She opened her eyes to look at the person holding her.

"Mother! Are you alright?" She heard the voice again.

"Archi?" She tried to get up but she was too weak so she fell back still wrapped up in those strong arms.

She didn’t really care about who had held her Archi’s voice she though she had heard.

"Archi is that you?" She asked weakly, excitement still obvious in her voice.

"Nyx? Are you okay?"

She felt uncomfortable all of a sudden,"Huh? Archi?"

It was obvious the only thing that mattered to her that minute was Archi. Archi came closer, and held her hands.

"I am here mother, right beside you,"he squeezed her hand gently.

"Really?" She raised her head to look at him, "Where are you?"

"Right here," he said again.

She opened her eyes, searching for him eargerly, her eyes landed on him beside her, giving her the most adorable eyes.

"Archi!" She disengaged from whoever was holding her and hugged her son.

"Archi!" She cried.

She hugged him so tight, "My son, you are okay!"

Dora rushed towards them, "Oh my goodness, Archi, I knew you would be fine!" She hugged him too.

He grinned, "I am a strong child, of course I would be fine," he said, a hint of pride in his voice.

"I knew he would come back to me," Nyx said still crying.

"He took me here," he pointed to the man beside him.

Dora was the first to give him a glance, she blinked her eyes and looked at back at Archi.

Nyx sniffed and faced the person, who Archi was pointing to. She froze.

Oberon stood there giving ber a piercing stare. She wanted to disappear that moment, her heart throbbing, her legs shaking.

She looked at Archi, then back at him.

"He was the one who brought you here?"

He nodded, "Yes."

Nyx was dazed, her joy had now turned into that of frustration, anger and sadness. One person, she didn’t want to see as at that moment was Oberon.

Oberon could sense the resentment coming from her, "Nyx, I can explain, just hear me out."

She creased her brows and directed het gaze to Archi, "How.. did he know?"

"I think I should be the one answering that?" He chipped in.

She held her head, it had now begun to spin.

"Nyx?" Dora held her shoulder, "I told you, you are not feeling well, you needed some rest. Let us go back inside."

That was the last thing she heard before she blacked out.

"Mother? Mother!" She heard a faint voice.

"Huh?"

"Why is she not waking up?" Archi whined, he had gotten really scared when Nyx had blacked out.

"She can not be dead right?"

"She is not dead, there is no need to be worried, do not worry, she will be fine, it is only a matter of time."

Nyx blinked her eyes struggling to open them against the blinding light.

"I think she is waking up," Dora said and rushed to her side.

"Nyx? Archi go get her a cup of water and be quick."

Oberon stood a corner of the room observing everything that was going on. He felt Nyx had passed out because of him and this hurt him a lot.

Nyx finally opened her eyes, "What happened?" She whispered.

Archi got her side, "Mother, you had passed out," he squeezed her hand.

She shook her head, "Where is he?" She looked around the room.

"Who are you looking for?"

"Oberon, he was here right? What was he doing here? Why is he with Archi!"

Oberon hid himself in a corner when he saw her reaction, he could feel her fury, he was hundred percent sure that if Nyx had a sword beside her, she would waste no time in slaying him.

"She does not want me around," he sighed.

Archi blinked, he exchanged glances with Dora who shook her head.

"Calm down Nyx, as you can see, he is not in the room, he is not here."

She calmed down a bit after hearing this. She turned to face Archi, "Archi.. what had happened?"

He looked at Dora, she quickly cut in, "Stop making things worse for your health, you are obviously not fine and you should not make anything worse, just be calm and please rest."

Nyx refused, "No, I want to know what happened, for some reason, I feel Oberon is still around," she looked at Archi, "He was the one who took you here right?"

Archi couldn’t lie, "Yes."

Her heart skipped, "How did he find me? I had made sure to go far away from that pack!"

Archi had never seen Nyx this angry before, "What is the matter mother? What has he done?"

Nyx’s brain exploded, she was about to blow up when Dora covered her mouth and pinned her down, forcing her to go unconscious again.

Archi watched on, with fear and confusion, "What are you doing to her?"

"If she continues that way, she will affect herself, you will not want that."

When she was sure Nyx was asleep, she stood up from the bed and went to Oberon.

"You need to go away from here, she obviously does not want you around," she rolled her eyes.

His heart fell, "At least let me speak to her."

"She might do things she does not want to do. Let her be, and please go away."

Archi chipped in, "But he said we will live together again."

Dora frowned and looked at him, and he stopped talking.

"If your mother does not consent to this, then it is not going to happen, your mother has the upper hand."

Oberon bit his lips, "She does not want to see me," he said.

"That is what I said."

He nodded, "I do not blame her, this is clearly my mistake and I am going to fix this."

"Please go away."

He nodded, "I promise to come back."

Archi blinked, and ran to him, "Father, where are you going to?"

Dora pulled him away, "He is not your father."

Oberon bit his lips, his eyes filled with hurt, "I will make everything right."
