Archi stood outside the palace door. He was on duty that night with some other guards. He raised his eyes to look at the sky, and sighed. He was having a bad feeling, and he didn’t like it.

"Is my mother okay?" He whispered, his heart thumping in a weird way.

He sighed deeply, "Please be fine mother," he closed his eyes , hoping the prayer would dissipate the fear that clouded his heart, but it wasn’t working.

"Archi," he heard his name, and he whipped his head in the person’s direction. It was Axel.

"Axel," he called absent mindedly.

"You seem distant, what is the matter?" He placed a hand on his right shoulder.

"I.. just have a bad feeling. I just hope my mother is okay."

Axel patted his back, "Missing her already?"

"That is not it. I do not know why, but I just have a bad feeling about her. It is as if something bad has happened to her."

"Do not worry about her Archi, loosen up, she is fine," Axel tried cheering him up.

"I appreciate your kindness," Archi managed to smile.

"I will be there if you need him," he gave him a playful punch on his arm, and he walked away.

The conversation with Axel didn’t really help, he only found himself drowning more, and more in his fear. What if something terrible had happened to her? Was Thane with her?

"Bad, I can not reach them," he gulped hard, "How am I supposed to know what is going on?" He gritted his teeth.

"Mother," he mumbled, "Are you okay?"

He heard his name ring loudly in his ears. He whipped his head to the side, looking for who had probably called his name.

"Hm?" He creased his brows. All the guards who were present there were busy minding their business, it didn’t seem anyone had called for him.

He slowly looked forward, his heart now pounding so hard in his ribcage.

Something flashed before his eyes, feeling a chilling breeze graze his skin as he saw his mother being surrounded my rogues, while she was on her knees begging for mercy. They all closed in on her, while the one who seemed to be the leader ripped off her shirt. The hungry wolves all closed in on her while she screamed.

"Mother no!" He yelled, stretching out his hand in panic.

The guards all looked his way, "Someone is missing mommy all of a sudden? What a man you are!" One of them remarked, and they all except Axel burst out laughing at him.

"That is not a nice thing to say to him," Axel chastised them, moving over to Archi.

"I mean, is he expecting his mother to just come out of nowhere, and cuddle him?" Another guard threw in, and another round of laugher followed.

"Ignore them Archi," Axel told him.

Archi just nodded, and walked off into the dark night.

"And where do you think you are going?" The guard who had first lashed at him, asked.

Archi completely ignored him, before anyone knew it, he was gone.

Nyx moaned as she felt an excruciating pain between her legs. Draven had ordered her to be tied up, so he could tease her a little.

"Please let me go," she pleaded, this time she was totally out of breath.

Draven scoffed, sitting before her, "You have already been marked? When was that?" He banged on the chair s arm rest.

Nyx was in tears, she kept sobbing continually, "I.. that was thirteen years ago," she groaned.

"Wait.. that.. how did I not feel it then? How?" He yelled.

"I do not know," she shook her head sobbing in between her words.

"This is ridiculous!" He rubbed his chin in surprise, "Why?" This time, he was asking himself.

"Please.." she mumbled under her breath, "Let me go."

"No way, what you have done is not forgivable, I do Pardon the fact that you already have a son, but the fact that you are marked, that I will not pardon! I should be the one who should have done that!"

Her eyes were growing heavy, and it was getting impossible for her to keep them open as she had been crying for a long time.

He got to his feet, took two strides towards her, pulling her hair.

She stifled a groan when he pulled her hair. She hissed silently, stretching her legs.

He looked at one of his rogues that stood beside him, nodding towards her, "Come untie her."

"Yes sir," he walked towards where Nyx was all tied up on the ground. He began to untie her.

"Be quick about it," Draven snapped.

"Yes.. sir."

When he was done, he helped Nyx to her feet. She was already weak from being bound so tightly with those silver chains. Her legs were weak, unable to carry her weight.

"Leave," he ordered.

The rogue bowed, then left the room leaving both of them alone.

"I will make sure you pay for betraying me."

"I do not even know you," she muttered weakly.

Draven gripped her chin, "Oh, that does not matter, you will get to know me all you want," his other hand trailed down her hand.

She cringed in disgust, trying to shove his hand away, but he wasn’t relenting.

"You will not get away from me, I will make sure of that," he leaned forward.

Her wolf growled in horror wanting to get away from whoever this rogue was.

She looked away trying to avoid close contact with his face.

"Now, now Nyx darling, do not act like that. You have to get used to every touch of mine, soon you will get used to me being inside of you... That is how it is supposed to be," he let his finger trail down her face.

Nyx weakly pushed him away, "Who are you to me? Why do you want me so much? Leave me alone!"

He smirked, "Leave you alone?" His eyes darkened, "You

are mine Nyx."

"What?"

He growled, "Mate."
