Chapter 187: Untying the knot 2
Archi’s jaws slacked with surprise listening to his mother, "So.. if it was all an attempt to save me..."
"And the pack."
Archi raked a hand through his hair, "You are the real hero here mother. You have done so much, why has father not realized this yet?"
She rolled her eyes, "He has.. but he is still ignorant in a kind of way. Brace yourself, very soon we would definitely experience more trying times."
He threw his head backwards, and laughed, "Oh, that. Of course I would be honored to go through anything with you, the thing is.." he paused, and gulped.
She squinted his eyes, "What?"
"If father has done all this to you.. does that mean he is.." he bent his head, "an enemy?"
She quickly inhaled, "No, he is not your enemy. I am the one who has a problem with him, and not you. He still remains your father, there is no denying that."
"Then how do I help you? Because it is obvious you were the one who was wronged here," he gritted his teeth.
"Archi, I do not want any sort of hatred to fill your heart. There would be no difference between you and a villain right? I do not want that for you. I have my scores to settle with him, and I will still do it. Watch it."
He squinted his eyes, "Hm, I understand."
She clasped her hands together, "How I wish I could train you in the way Lycan heirs were trained, and I am also sorry you did not live the way typical royals lived. I am only a.."
"I understand. I have started training myself recently, I would be fine mother. You need not worry about me," he got to his heels, "I want to go have some fresh air, I would continue the knitting when I get back."
She nodded, "Okay then," she paused and looked at him, "Are you okay?"
He forced a smile, "Yes I am, I am fine. This story just heated my head up, I want to cool my head," with that said, he walked out.
He went to the back of the house, and sat on a dead branc, propping his chin with his hand.
"I do not know if I am supposed to hate him," he clenched his fists, "He has been kind to me, but mother, went through a lot!"
He clenched his fists, and growled lowly, "I’d help her, I do not care about what he has done to me, mother was wronged, and does not deserve to be treated that way."
He stood up, and walked a little farther from the house, his head was bubbling with thoughts, thoughts he knew he wasn’t supposed to be harboring, but did he have a choice?
"It is a miracle she did not try to kill him or something, that would have been bad. She is good at heart, and he never realized it," he gritted his teeth.
He kept walking to wherever he could, finding peace in the woods.
"If only I could return to the palace," he clenched his jaw, breathing softly.
" You are still fourteen years old, I see no need why you should be wasting away at a thought, when you could just train for the future, and go back at him."
He rolled his eyes, "No one asked you,," he growled, and kept walking on.
A hand wrapped around his neck, and pulled him backwards making him fall to the ground.
"Stop this foolishness!" He choked on his words, trying to wriggle out of his grip.
"No," Thane laughed.
Thane was a werewolf about his age, he had found in the woods as he was playing around one day, and they had been best friends since.
"Oh please Archi, what can you do at the age of fourteen?"
"Well, I can not just sit back and not do anything!" He snapped.
"Are you going to kill him now you have had information?" Thane smirked.
"Go away Thane, what are you even doing here?"
"I came to help you of course," he snickered, "Since you have no brains, it would only be reasonable I helped you out of this mess," his eyes gleamed with pride.
"You do not know what happened," he slapped at him, but he missed.
"You were saying it out, so, basically I do," he grinned.
"How are you so annoying?" Archi groaned loudly.
"You can not do without me, of course," he gave a carefree yawn.
Archi found a small branch, and sat on it. Thane sat beside him, and patted his back, "What exactly is the matter?"
"Mother just told me everything, the reason we came back to this place."
"And.."
"It was because she wanted to avoid some kind of trouble that will face the palace," he scoffed, "She has done too much for them, but they never acknowledged it.*
Thane blinked, "So.. what are you up to?"
"I will get back at them," he grinned, and got to his heels, "I will make them pay."
"Right now, you are.."
"Oh yes, I know, I know you do not have to tell me. I will grow up omw day, will I not?" He folded his arms across his chest, and looked away.
Thane chuckled, "You still have plenty of years then. Haha! This will be fun," Thane snickered, "What are you going to do? Rip them apart?"
"No, I do not have to kill anyone," he shrugged, "I just have to make sure they suffer slowly. If my mother does not want to do it because of her good heart, then I will."
Thane nodded, "That is the spirit. You still got some more years of training before you strike," he clenched his fists.
Archi looked up at the sky, "I thought he was a good husband and a father," this time, his voice was more soft.
"Hm, who knows?" Thane shrugged, and threw a walnut he had with him in his mouth.
"Thane," he faced him..
"Hm?"
"Would you be with me while I do this?"
"Why not? We are supposed to be together, always," he held his hand.
"Thanks buddy," he laughed nervously.
"Whatever bull head," he hit Archi’s head, and stood up, "I got to go, mother would be waiting for me by now. Bye," he waved and ran off.
Archi flexed his muscles, he was more than ready to get back at them.
