Elena cradled the pup back and forth, looking at it with love in her eyes, "You would make a great pup, no doubt. You have Oberon, Nyx, your mother, even Archi too. Sadly enough, your father is not with us," she shook her head.

"Either ways, you would be the best around," her eyes watered, "How I wish Alcide could have seen this day," she looked at the ceiling.

She cuddled the baby closer, and kissed its forehead, "I never thought I would reach this time you see. I had lost your mother when she was still a baby, only to meet her years later. Even though the way she got you was wrong, since she is not married to your father, I would still not want to lose her for anything."

She smiles, her eyes wide with happiness, "I have seen offspring from both my children, and I have cared and loved them too," she laughed sadly, "I am tired of this world, I want to meet him soon," she sighed, feeling hope.

Nyx came into the room, and smiled at her, "Mother, Dora would want to feed the baby now," Nyx stretched out her hand to take the pup.

"Nyx," Elena called.

"Yes?"

"Have you forgiven me?"

Nyx furrowed her brows, she was not expecting that question at all.

"Why are you asking me this?"

"If I ever want to leave, I would leave here with peace in my heart."

She squinted her eyes in suspicion, "What?"

"Yes, I do not want to think you still hold .."

"I hold no grudges against you."

Elena chuckled, "So you have forgiven me?"

"I have, yes, I have," she replied simply.

She grinned, and handed the baby over to her, "Give him to his mother, and makes sure she takes good care of him."

Nyx’s heart raced, "Why are you sounding this way?"

"I just want you all to be well taken care of," she rested properly on the chair she was sitting on.

"You are also around to take care of them. They would surely need their grandmother around. Do you want to move to another country?"

She shook her head, "Another world instead."

Nyx held her chest, her head racing with a lot of thoughts, did she want to kill herself or something?

"Please stop sounding this way, you are scaring me," she turned on her heels, and walked out of the room.

Elena laughed softly, and threw her head backwards, "I do not have to scare anyone. It was bound to happen," she smiles, and closed her eyes.

A few minutes later, she came into the room, "Mother, come on now, it is time for your bath."

Nyx walked past Elena, and over to the table, "Come on, you would be having dinner quite early today, it seems you are not well."

She arranged a few things on the table, and went into the bathroom to prepare a bath for her.

She came out of the bathroom, wondering why Elena had not come to bathe, "Mother? Did you not hear me? It is time for your bath."

Nyx frowned and went over to meet her, "Mother?" She held her hand, and raised it up then let it fall . It fell dead at her side.

She gasped, and covered her mouth with her palm. Her eyes darted around, and went back to face her.

"No," she shook her head in disbelief, "This can not be," her voice was a dead whisper.

"What happened?" Her eyes filled with tears, "Oh my goodness," she bit her lips, "Wh.."

"Mother!" She screamed, and fell on her knees.

Some of the guards heard her cry, and rushed over to meet her.

"My lady? What is the matter?"

She broke down in tears, her lips quivering, her face contorting with grief, "Mother!" She screamed again, her heart shattering into tiny pieces.

They kept asking her questions wondering what had happened.

"What is the matter my lady? Please talk to us," they tried getting something out of her, But she couldn’t respond to any of their questions, she was too drowned in her misery to say anything. She began to sob loudly, sobbing at the dead she wolf’s feet.

One of the guards looked at Elena, and held her hand, it raised it up, and then let it fall. It fell dead again at her side, and they all except Nyx gasped loudly.

He checked to listen to her heartbeat, but couldn’t hear anything.

"She.. is dead?!"

They all began to panic. None of them wanted to deliver the news to Oberon, so they kept appointing and rejecting.

"Marcus can do this!"

"No way!" Marcus snapped, "Why should it be me?" He hissed.

"Just shut up!" She yelled at them to keep quiet.

"She is dead, there is nothing we can do about it my lady," Marcus spoke up, "Except delivering the news to the Kingdom."

Nyx stood up slowly from where she sat, "Take her to the bed."

Two of the guards rushed to carry her body, and laid it on the bed, covering it with a white cloth.

She palmed her face, and sobbed quietly, "Now I see why she talked that way," she whispered.

"What should we do my lady?"

"You all can leave, I will deliver the news to him myself."

"Yes my lady," they all bowed and left the room.

She stared at the body, laying there all lifeless, "Why?" She whispered, but got no response, she shut her eyes tight not wanting to believe that Elena could no longer do anything anymore, she was never going to respond to her again, she was gone.. gone forever.

She dragged herself out of the room, and went straight to Oberon’s bedroom.

He was the one who saw her first, and smiled, "Oh, Nyx, you are here too."

She gave him a dead look, and he became nervous.

"I do.. not know why I can not seem to shake off this feeling. It seems something bad is going to happen," he laughed nervously.

It had already happened!

She bit her lips again, tears filling her eyes, "Oberon," she croaked.

He went over to meet her, and held her hand, "What is the matter? Did something bad happen?"

"Your mother.."

His heart skipped a beat, "Yes?"

"She is dead."

His heart skipped a beat, "Yes?"
