Kaelos cradled the pup in his arms, and smiled, softly at it. His heart warmed up at the sight of the pup in his arms. He never bargained being a father that early, but traditions, his mother, and the elders wouldn’t let him enjoy his simple life in peace.

"Thank you," he said softly.

He raised his head to see a sleeping Dora. He arched his brows, and shook his head, "Asleep already?"

He looked around, and sighed, "How I wish I could take him along with me," he whispered, "But.. Dora would get mad."

He placed the pup gently beside her, and patted its head, "I love you," and he kissed its head.

Take your heir with you!

His wolf growled.

He closed his eyes and shook his head, "No."

He clenched his fists, and gritted his teeth, "Just shut up!" He snapped.

He made for the door, but it seemed his wolf wanted something different.

"Curse it! Why are you out here?!" He almost yelled but remembered he was in the room with two sleeping people.

He got to the door and opened it.

Kaelos looked back at them sleeping peacefully, and sighed, he left the room as quickly as he could to avoid more complications coming up.

He walked briskly through the halls so he would get out of the palace as soon as possible.

He walked past the mirror, and headed to the living room, praying he would find no one there. He got to the living room, fortunately for him, there was no one there.

"Good," he whispered

He looked around for one last time, and quickly left the palace.

Kaelos! You can not leave this place without your heir! Do not do it! Go back home with your heir and claim that throne!

"Shut up Neriah, stop being so selfish!" He growled, and got to his horse, and rode out of the palace.

He rode faster into the bushes, doing all he can to get away from the palace.

A part of his face started to stretch and pull.

"Stop this Neriah, what is wrong with you?" He rode faster and deeper into the bushes.

He wished he could stop his ears from hearing any other talk from his wolf, it was getting terrifying and annoying.

He sighed, and bowed his head, "Stop this Neriah, I wouldn’t want to lose you in rage."

His heart skipped a beat. Astrid who was already in power would do anything to remain in power. Fearing he would want to hurt his son, he quickly replied, "I.. that does not even matter. As you can see, the pup is not with me."

Kaelos clenched his fists, and gritted his teeth, "Leave them alone Kaelos, as you can see, they do not want your throne."

"With that pup, you can easily snatch the throne from me!" He flared up.

Kaelos rolled his eyes, "Whatever, I always knew you were weak, you fear a threat that I do not pose," he sighed, and walked towards his horse to take it from him, but Astrid whipped out a sword made of pure silver.

"Whoa! Take it easy there! I only want my horse back!"

"I know you more than any one else Kaelos, you are the most cunning wolf I have ever met."

"I wish," Kaelos mumbled.

"I will do anything to remain in power, even if it means to finish you off completely."

"Ugh, do not be such a coward Astrid," he grabbed his elbow and twisted it to the side, making the sword fall off his hand. Before he blink his eyes, Kaelos grabbed the sword, and faced him with it.

"Listen to me Astrid, I never wanted the throne or power, but it seemed the elders was not having it. I did what I was not supposed to do then, and yes, now she is with child."

"Tsk," he scoffed, "Why are you acting like one of those simple wolves in tales?"

"That is because I am simple. Even if I had not impregnated her back then, I would not have any access to the throne room and it would have been even."

Astrid frowned, "So?"

Kaelos turned around, and smiled, "But if you insist, I will get my throne back, but not without protecting my very own hehe!" He mounted his horse, and coughed.

"You are a weakling Astrid. Do not let me unleash my rage on you, would not even be able to bear half of it," he tapped his horse lightly, and it began to trot away.

"I will make sure I finish then off Kaelos!"

"If you can get past her brother that would be fine," he mocked.
