Nyx looked at him with wide eyes, "why? How did he gain charge?"

"Risa helped him."

"What?"

He nodded, "I don’t know how they did it, but they did strike at a very wrong time, and we were left helpless."

She shook her head, feeling so annoyed, "what kind of sister was I given?" She muttered to herself.

"Ever since that day, I have been trying to strategize my return back there. It is now more easier now that I know I am a Lycan."

She nodded, "you are a Lycan, but your most of your aides are not."

"Hm, true," he held his head, "if only we could weaken his pack, then we would be able to penetrate."

Nyx sighed, her head spinning with thought, "it would be hard though," she sighed.

"Hm, I know. I have thought of every possible way, but they are ridiculous."

"Since, you say you are a Lycan, you are supposed to have magic. Can you not do something to awaken the magic in you quickly?"

He shrugged, "I am still trying. I hope it works soon," he shook his head.

"So.. you did not want to show me something initially?"

"Oh, I did."

He stood up, showing her the enclosed part of the wall, it was covered with leaves.

"What is that?"

"I.. I made a painting.. it is not perfect, but it reminded me of you. You were the only treasure I really had."

She gulped, "oh."

He opened it, revealing a painting of the black sky and the moon.

Her eyes widened, "oh my!"

"Nyx.. you are related to the night.. so.. I thought this painting would be related to you."

Her eyes lit up, "it is beautiful," she said softly.

She walked up to where he stood, her eyes still on the painting.

"I love it."

"I am glad you like it," he scratched his head nervously.

"I really do. Thank you."

"Sure. I hope you forgive me though."

She didn’t reply to that.

"I know.. you can give it the period of time you want. I just hope you eventually do forgive me."

She bit her lips.

He sighed, "Nyx. I really need you. If I had known your value all along, I would not be in this problem."

She tightened her lips, "hm," she grunted.

He held her shoulder, "Nyx, listen to me," he made her face him.

"You are my lucky charm," he smiled, "with you by my side, I am hundred percent sure that nothing will go wrong."

"I do not think it safe to trust me that much," she shook her head.

"I want to. It is better than trusting in myself."

She was amused by his reply, "hm. I do not know why you said that, but.. that is true though," she grinned.

His smile broadened, "I am not wrong."

She nodded, "I agree."

He sighed, "so, will you fight this battle with me? I need you."

"I might be angry with you, but I am not angry with the pack at all."

"So, you would help me?"

"What am I supposed to help you with?"

"Strategy. Since you are my lucky charm, I think I would be able to come up with ideas."

She sighed, "I.. well.. if you say so," she laughed.

"Can I hug you?"

She squinted her eyes, "hm?"

"Can I? Please?"

She folded her arms across her chest, "You love tight hugs and I am not in for one, not especially when I have a healing wound."

He chuckled, "I promise to be gentle," he said.

"Hmm, okay, them, if you say so."

He smirked, "Thank you."

He hugged her warmly, making sure he did not squeeze her.

"I really missed you, and I apologize for being such a fool. I could not tell you apart from someone else just because she was wearing a mask."

"Hm, with this, I am pretty sure you will learn your mistake next time."

"I will, I definitely will," he whispered, patting her back.

’It does feel good to be in his arms again,’ she thought.

"You can think of the painting as a welcome gift. Come look at it, whenever you think of me."

She rolled her eyes, and disengaged from the hug, "whatever."

"Let us go inside," he stretched out his hand and she took it.

"Okay."

They both went inside together.

The rest of them were in the living room, waiting for them to arrive.

"Are you guys reconciled now?" Archi blinked his eyes in excitement.

"I think so, to an extent," he said.

"To an extent?"

"To an extent," Nyx completed.

"Come, sit down," Dora offered.

She sat down, relishing the moment.

"It is really good to have you back Nyx. We really missed you," Dora smiled affectionately at her.

"I missed you and Archi too."

"I have a lot of things to tell you, just recover quickly, then we shall go on, and on!"

Nyx nodded, "I am looking forward to that," she wiped her forehead.

"I think the lycanthropy pack is in disarray, since his uncle took absolute control over the palace there."

"Oberon needs help?" A slim, well built, Lycan asked. He appeared to be the Lycan king.

"You could say that your majesty."

He arched his brow, "Why did he not say so? I have members of the lycanthropy pack scattered about my pack! There was no proper communication!"

"I think there was," one of the elders seated said.

"How come I did not see it?"

"He had written a letter, it was supposed to be delivered to you, but you were out of the pack. I thought since you returned, it should have gotten to you by now."

He banged his hands on the throne, "where is my bloody messenger!"

"I heard, he is down with fever your majesty. Probably, the reason, he has not delivered the message to you," another elder spoke up.

"So no one else could deliver the letter? Having members of the lycanthropy pack scattered about our pack is not a nice thing at all."

"Whatever the case may be, we have to help Alpha Oberon in his trying time. He has been a good friend of our pack though," the first elder spoke up.

"Lycan Kael, he needs our help, we should help him."

Kael curled his lips, trying to process what was going on.

"What happened to him in the first place, and where is he?"

"We do not know. Even members of his pack do not know where he is."

"How would I pass a message to him then?"

The elders exchanged glances, no probable solution available.

"There is no idea of where we would start searching for him."

Kael held his head, feeling disturbed already.

"I could use magical tracking, that will help," he said tiredly.

"Yes, that would work."

"Definitely. That is a great option. He has been too good to us. The least we could do, is return his favor."

Kael stood up, "I would like to be alone."

"Of course your majesty," they all stood up, and bowed. One by one, they left the throne room.

"Where could he be? What have you gotten yourself into Oberon?" He rolled his eyes, pacing forth and back the room.

"Ugh, how annoying. Would it not be better if I faced his uncle myself?"

"I could warn him. If he does not heed to it, then I could take him down," he curled his lips.

He walked over to a table by the side of the room. Taking a quill, he wrote on a scroll.

"While this is message is being passed to him, I could find Oberon in the mean time."

He finished what he was writing and sealed it.

Looking at the letter, he sighed and shook his head, feeling pity for Oberon.

"The poor Alpha, he definitely would not be able to resist his uncle.." he shook his head.

"I hope this works Oberon, because I have no choice," he sighed sadly.

Aegis had suspected all of the members of the lycanthropy pack must have gone to the neighboring packs.

So, he wrote letters, so the kings could fish out the members of the lycanthropy pack and return them back.

The first few packs responded negatively as no member from the lycanthropy pack went there.

Aegis was frustrated, but still continued looking for them.

He wrote to every pack around theirs hoping he would get results.

"Your majesty, I have a message from the silver moon pack," he handed the letter to Aegis.

He quickly tore the letter open and read through the lines.

"What is this?!" He roared.

The servant trembled, "your majesty?"

"What kind of a message is this? Is he threatening me?"

"I.. do not know your majesty."

He burned with fury, "Who does this kael think he is!"

The servant had no clue of what he was saying, "I hope he is not declaring war, because if he is, it will not be a good thing for him."
