Chapter 106: Unwanted visitor

Archi lay peacefully on the bed, Dora sitting beside him. She exhaled when she noticed he was still asleep.

"Thank goodness," she muttered and stood up again.

"Mommy?" She heard his voice.

She stopped in her tracks and turned to face him, "Archi?" She called quietly and walked back to his side.

She gently patted his head, "What is the matter?" She asked.

He sniffed and muttered some incoherent words. She sighed, "Oh Archi," she gently stroked his hair.

He gently opened his eyes, his eyes landed on Dora and he pouted, "My Mother," he sniffed.

She spread her arms and he went to her and hugged her.

"Everything will be fine, I promise, everything will be fine."

"I want my mother back," his voice broke, "I just want her to be with me," he sniffed again.

Dora was short of words and couldn’t find the words with which to console him.

"Do you want dinner? I have prepared it," she told him.

He looked up at her and nodded, "Okay."

She took him in her arms and carried him to the dining room.

"Come and have something."

They got to the dining room and she helped him sit down, "Here," she placed his plate in front of him.

There was a knock on the door. Archi and Dora were startled, Who could have been knocking on the door?

"We have no neighbors," Archi whispered.

"Calm down, I will go and have a look," she said and walked to the door.

He nodded and sat back, too scared to touch his food.

She opened the door to see him, the same Lycan she had seen the night before.

He grinned at her, "Nice to see you again," he smirked.

Her heart skipped a beat, "What are you doing here? How did you find me?"

"How hard can it be? This is the only cottage in the whole of this area," he rolled his eyes.

She scoffed, "So what do you want now?"

"Can I not pay a visit? You do not want me to be here?" He arched his brow.

"Not that, I just.. it is just so surprising to see you here, the night before, you had left abruptly," she shrugged.

"Now I am here," he smirked.

"Okay, come in then," she opened the door and let him in.

He came in feeling so pleased with himself and everything.

Archi squinted his eyes in suspicion when he came in, "Who are you?" He barked at him.

"Your aunt’s lover," he replied calmly.

Dora gasped, "Huh? Whose lover?"

Archi looked confused, "Lover?" He looked at Dora in confusion.

Dora held her head, "You fool! Just sit down and do not say anything!"

He raised his hand in surrender, "Fine, fine, I will keep quiet," he sat opposite Archi.

Archi eyed him, still not feeling comfortable with him, "Why do you seem so scary?"

"Probably because you are not used to me," he shrugged.

Archi felt upset, he got down from his chair and ran into the rooms.

Dora was surprised, "What did you do to him?"

He faced her, "I am here to talk to you Dora and of course it is not for the ears of a pup."

She arched her brow, "But what did you do?"

"That does not matter, come and have a seat, that will be tackled later," he said softly.

She squinted her eyes and sat beside him, "I am listening."

"Dora," he looked her in the eyes.

Her heart stopped beating for a second and she looked away, her cheeks rising hot.

"Uh.. actually, this is no longer safe for you, I mean this cottage," he said softly.

She frowned and looked at him, "What do you mean?"

"Well, there are some members of the lycanthropy pack who know the whereabouts of this cottage, if anything comes up, you and Archi could be found and captured," he said.

She blinked, "What? Why?"

"Oberon knows about this cottage, so does the elders of the pack."

"And you know, Nyx is not the Luna of that pack but someone else," he said.

Her eyes widened, "I knew it!"

"So.. they are on the search for Archi.."

"And she wants us killed!"

"Exactly."

"Oh dear, finding this cottage was a whole lot of work, where will find another place? And how do you expect me to start packing again?"

He thought for a while, "Uh.. that is why you have me," he grinned.

"Huh?"

"I am here to help you... for the time being," he shrugged.

"Do you have a place in mind?"

"Of course I do, there is somewhere special prepared for you both."

Her eyes brightened but she suddenly stopped in her tracks, "Wait.. how do you know about all these?"

He shrugged, "Call me powerful huh?"

"Oh, okay then, if you say so," she stood up and went inside.

She met Archi who folded his arms looking upset.

"What is the matter?"

"There is something wrong with that Lycan, I do not like his presence at all, it feels off."

Dora nodded, "I feel so too, he is behaving quite strangely, I think we need to get out of here, he will get tired of waiting and probably leave," she held his hand to lead him out of the window.

"Yes, that is a good idea."

"Let us go then," they both walked to the window.

"And where do you both think you are headed?"

They stopped in their tracks.

"Trick me into waiting for you both? Oh that is not going to happen," he grinned.

"Who are you?"

"Oh, maybe I am your worst nightmare," his fangs elongated.

Archi held Dora tightly, "Who are you? You can not be my nightmare," she replied.

"Very well then," he took off his mask and revealed his face to be Andrew though he was looking very bruised.

Archi screamed.

"You both are not supposed to be alive, if Nyx died, you both are going with her!"

"Do not dare to touch him!" She yelled at him.

"Not just him, you both!"
