The Alpha Prince's Purchased Maid
Chapter 82: Confusing Attention

Chapter 82: Confusing Attention

I could sense his excitement and his arousal. When he sank his teeth into my shoulder and bit me, I cried out. It didn’t exactly hurt but...

Please help me! Prince Leonard!

Help me! Help me please!

I cried so loudly and so desperately in my mind as I squeezed my eyes shut.

Please help me...Prince Leonard!

“Please...help me...” I whimpered as I felt tears sting the back of my eyes.

If this continues, I had no idea how far Prince Florian would play with me. I had no idea if he would be able to stop himself just like he had promised.

‘Where are you?’

My eyes snapped open. What was that just now?

Did I hear something just now?

I turned and looked around the bathhouse but there wasn’t anyone there. What is going on?

“What happened? You seem distracted all of a sudden...” Prince Florian asked as he sensed that my attention had shifted elsewhere.

I was too stunned and busy figuring out what I had just heard to even care about his question to me just now. I honestly thought that I heard something just now. A pain shot through my brain again.

“Ahhh!” I cried out in pain.

The raw pain that seemed to pierce and then squeeze my brain robbed me of all my other senses. It hurt so badly. I’ve felt this pain before but why did it happen out of nowhere?

“What’s wrong, Mila?” Prince Florian asked, and I could hear the concern in his voice.

It must have been apparent to him that I was in extreme pain. At least, that made him stop his attacks on my body for a while. My brain throbbed non-stop, and I couldn’t open my eyes.

‘Where are you right now?’

It’s that voice again.

Where am I?

‘The bathhouse...’

As soon as I answered the question inside of my head, the pain came to an abrupt stop. I was panting and gasping for breath when the pain that was raging in my brain suddenly evaporated. My body felt so heavy and weak, and I couldn’t quite find the strength to open my eyes.

The sensation of Prince Florian softly shaking my body brought me back to reality again. Slowly, I opened my eyes to see him staring closely at my face. I wondered how long I was drifting in that state between reality and the world of dreams. We were both still in the water, so I didn’t think that that long had passed.

“Mila, what happened? Do you feel sick? Is it because you’ve been in the water for too long?” Prince Florian asked as his brows drew together in a frown.

He’s really worried about me. I was scared of him but now that he wasn’t doing anything to me, I could feel his kindness and his genuine concern for me. It confused me and I couldn’t quite understand him. Regardless, I was relieved that the pain in my head had disappeared, and the prince seemed to have stopped fooling around with me, at least, for now.

“I...I’m fine now...thank you...” I mumbled softly.

“This is probably my fault. I’m very sorry, Mila...” Prince Florian whispered sorrowfully.

I wanted to tell him that it wasn’t exactly his fault, but I thought better of it. For some reason, I felt like the pain in my head just now wasn’t caused by him. After all, this wasn’t the first time that I’d felt it, and then there was that voice inside my head. However, it may have been the situation that he placed me in that triggered it, so I wasn’t sure if Prince Florian was completely void of fault.

“I’m fine now...” I whispered.

The pain had subsided, but my head still felt heavy, and I was still slightly confused. Prince Florian brought his face to my level and peered into my face with worry.

“Can you stand?” he whispered to me softly.

I blinked in surprise and that was when I realized that I had been leaning almost all of my weight on him. His arms around me were no longer holding me captive, instead, he was supporting me.

“I think so...thank you...” I thanked him before I tried my best to smile at him.

“I should take you to see a doctor. I don’t think that pain you went through just now is normal...” he muttered without letting me go.

I started to worry if there was indeed something wrong with my health or my brain. Am I sick?

“I think I’m fine now. The pain suddenly went away...so...” I mumbled in reply.

The way he looked at me told me that he wasn’t at all convinced that I was fine. His arms around me only tightened as he seemed hesitant about what to do.

“I should help you out of the water first before your condition worsens again and then I should take you to a royal doctor. They work around the clock, so you don’t have to worry,” Prince Florian said calmly.

His arms slowly loosened around me, but he still kept an arm around my waist while his other hand reached for mine to guide and support me toward the side of the pool. The sudden change in the vibe around him surprised me and caught me off guard. One moment he seemed dangerous and very demanding, but then he transformed into such a gentle and caring person. It was all very confusing for me.

“I think there’s no need for that, Your Highness. I will be completely fine soon...” I told him honestly.

“That’s not good enough. If you’re unwell, you should get the doctor to examine you before it turns into something even more serious...” the prince replied sternly.

I knew that he was worried, but he was showering me with too much attention and concern that I began feeling uncomfortable. Also, I didn’t want him to ever get out of this pool while I was around because that would mean that I would see him naked. The initial threat that he used against me was still fresh in my mind.
