“Can you come a little closer?” she asked as she waved her hand to gesture for me to get closer to her.

I was curious as to what she had in mind but didn’t mind bringing my face closer to hers. Roxanna regarded me with intense interest as she stared deeply into my eyes.

I smiled a little to myself when I thought that I must have gotten more comfortable with myself after spending time at the prince’s side.

I wished that there was something that I could say to comfort or encourage her the same way that she managed to do it for me, but I didn’t have the chance to thank her because the door suddenly opened. The doctor along with a team of nurses rushed in followed by Prince Leonard.

“What did she tell you?” Prince Leonard asked when we were alone on the bed later that night.

The night of the full moon turned out to be a peaceful one for us even though the day was filled with pleasant surprises. It would be more accurate to call it nothing short of a miracle, and whenever I thought of Roxanna I couldn’t stop myself from smiling.

“She told me many things,” I said before winking playfully at the prince.

Although Roxanna never told me to keep it from the prince, I had decided to keep the details pertaining to our girl talks to myself.

“It’s a secret, so I can’t tell you,” I replied before smiling teasingly his way.

I was certain that Roxanna would want to keep our conversation a secret from the prince as well. Although there was no harm in letting him in on our secret conversation, the fact that the prince seemed so curious about it only made me want to tease him a little more. On top of that, I found the conversation that I shared with Roxanna a little embarrassing whenever I thought of it. Her words as she described how the prince would talk about me in the past always brought a smile to my lips.

“Are you really not going to tell me?” He asked with clear disbelief and his tone.

“Well...” I murmured as I hesitated a little.

I had never seen Prince Leonard this curious before and I found it more than slightly amusing to see this side of him.

“Leo...” I called his name softly when he suddenly climbed on top of me, trapping my body beneath his against the bed.

He brought his face right in front of mine as his intense blue eyes stared deeply into mine as if he would find the answers that he was looking for in the depths of my eyes.

“What are you doing?” I asked in a small voice as I found myself feeling slightly embarrassed.

I could no longer maintain our eye contact and had to look away.

“You have to tell me, this is driving me insane...” he said with clear desperation in his voice.

My body stiffened beneath his as he cupped the side of my face to make sure that I could no longer avoid my eyes from his. Even with how serious he was, I still couldn’t find it in me to divulge my secret to him.

“Don’t blame me for being mean to you, this is punishment for not telling me what I want to know,” he whispered to me in what sounded like a very seductive voice.

I felt a shiver run through my body a moment before his lips approached mine. I closed my eyes as I felt the heat of his lips on mine.
