“What are you talking about? I don’t follow you at all,” Madame Sand said with a regrettable shake of her head.

The older woman was even more confused when she saw the calculating smirk that appeared on Asana’s lips. Due to her background, Madame Sand already knew that Asana was difficult to deal with. Although women living in the Sacred Chambers came from various backgrounds to ensure that the princes were well entertained and interested, she was surprised when a young woman with vast experience in the adult industry was sent here. “Is that what you really think?” Asana asked challengingly.

“Why don’t you stop beating around the bush and tell me what you think? I’ve had enough of your nonsense for one day...” the older woman replied without hiding her irritation.

“I think...that Salena is jealous of me because I’ll get to spend time with her precious Prince Darius. I could be wrong, but I don’t think that I am. That girl, she probably loves Prince Darius although she may not realize it yet herself,” Asana said before she smiled wisely.

“That’s just pure speculation and equivalent to loads of nonsense. Is that all that you have to tell me? You formed this guess on your own and then you said all those things to bully the poor girl,” Madame said as she tried not to raise her voice.

“As I keep telling you, she’s not some poor girl. Plus, I don’t think that you’re really getting it. Listen, what I’m really trying to say is that you should think about what you can do with that girl. You see, something tells me that her adoration of Prince Darius didn’t just spring up from her observing him from afar. Those two, they’ve met and exchanged perhaps a little more than words before...” Asana said before she giggled.

Asana’s beautiful lips curved into a triumphal smile when she saw that she finally had the older woman’s attention. The way that Madame Sand’s face suddenly turned troubled and then became thoughtful told Asana that she had finally gotten her point across. Of course, there was nothing to prove her theory beyond her sharp senses on these matters. However, the woman who could look into this matter was standing right in front of her.

“It can’t be...” Madame Sand muttered.

“You don’t have to take my word for it. However, if I’m not wrong and they have been meeting then doesn’t that mean that Prince Darius also has an interest in this poor little girl of yours? If you ask me, this is something that you should look into. I mean, it is your job to look into these things, isn’t it?” Asana asked before she flashed a sweet smile with widened eyes.

“I will look into it. As for you, you should focus on your duties for tonight,” Madame Sand said curtly.

“Of course. Please let me know how it goes. Oh, as for my reward...” Asana said before she paused and giggled.

“What makes you think that your slight observation deserves a reward of any kind?” Madame Sand asked with clear displeasure.

“Oh, if that is what you think then perhaps, I should ask Prince Darius for my reward instead. After all, I’ll have all night to talk to him...” she said before her little giggled turned into full laughter.

“What is it that you want? Money? Jewelry?” Madame Sand asked before pursing her lips tightly together.

Although she didn’t want to reward Asana for her baseless speculation, she also didn’t want Asana blabbing nonsense to the prince and going as far as requesting for a reward for it.

“Money sounds good but that isn’t what I want,” she said as she placed a hand on her waist and leaned her weight on one foot in a seductive pose.

“Then what is it that you want?” the older woman asked without much interest.

“I want to retire. After serving Prince Darius tonight, I want the right to stop serving anyone else. Of course, if Prince Darius calls for me again, I’ll serve him but not anyone else,” she stated determinedly.

“That’s...” Madame Sand muttered.

“You think that he won’t call for me again, don’t you? Which is exactly what I want, I want to retire...” Asana said.

“Asana...” Madame Sand whispered sadly.

It was the sorrowful look that crossed Asana’s face that made Madame Sand realize just how serious she was. Unlike her uncaring attitude or her bold words and laughter, Asana just looked empty and sad. The small young woman who stood with her eyes casted down with drooped shoulders looked like she was the verge of breaking.

“I’ll give Prince Darius a wild night that he won’t ever forget. In return, please just let me retire...” she whispered.
