The Alpha Prince's Purchased Maid -
Chapter 213: His Favorite Meal
Chapter 213: His Favorite Meal
The further the wolf retreated, the louder the voice calling my name became.
I’m dreaming...
My eyes snapped open as the line between dream and reality became clear to me. I started to panic a little when I realized that I didn’t quite remember when I had fallen asleep. My mind felt very jumbled, and I had a slight headache.
“You’re finally awake. How do you feel?”
I turned my head slightly to my side and glanced up to see Prince Leonard sitting on the side of my bed and looking down at me. His blue eyes were plagued with evident worry and I immediately felt apologetic. My eyes darted around and found out that I was in my own bed in my bedroom. Brief memories of how I spent my time with the prince before I apparently fell asleep came back to me. We were in the kitchen, and I was supposed to cook him something but then...
How did I end up in bed like this? Did he carry me here?
Probably...
“Have you been here the whole time?” I asked the first question that came to mind while I also wondered how long I was out for.
“Yes, but don’t worry, you didn’t sleep for that long,” Prince Leonard replied.
The prince had already reverted to his full human form and looking at him like this, I found it hard to believe that he could transform into a wolf. He just looked like any other normal human that I have encountered before, although he was clearly more attractive than most. I felt the warmth and softness of his hand on my forehead for a brief moment before his hand moved to stroke my hair tenderly.
“Are you not feeling well? You seemed quite restless just now in your sleep...” the prince asked softly.
“I’m fine. I just had...a dream...” I told him honestly.
“A bad one?” he took a guess.
“Not really. I don’t think that it was bad...” I replied while reflecting on the dream that I had.
“Well, dreams are just dreams. They’re not real and you shouldn’t pay them any attention,” he advised casually.
Although I told the prince that I was fine, my body was screaming and protesting that it wasn’t quite fine. I took in a deep breath as I tried to ignore the throbbing pain in between my legs. The day when my body would get used to mating with the prince clearly hadn’t arrived yet. I could clearly feel the aftereffects of our wild mating and our size difference did not stand in my favor. My legs felt so weak, and my pussy ached even when I didn’t move my body. It was clear that it was going to take a while before my body would get use to him.
As to how many times we had to do it until I got used to him...I had no idea...
I shook my head before my thought would head in the wrong direction as I felt the prince’s curious gaze on me. When I turned to face him and our eyes met, I quickly realized that I had completely failed at what I had initially planned to do and that was to cook him a meal. I gasped at that dreadful realization as I quickly sat up in bed. Pain shot up into my core before running down my legs when I suddenly moved my body. However, I didn’t have any time to regret my movements.
“I’m very sorry, Prince Leonard,” I apologized loudly.
“What are you apologizing for again?” he asked, and it was clear that he couldn’t quite follow.
“I was supposed to cook for you. You haven’t eaten yet, have you?” I asked as I felt even more disappointed in myself.
“If you’re worried about that, you should stop worrying. It’s not something that you should apologize for,” he replied before showing me a smile that I thought was very charming.
“I’m sorry...” I ended up apologizing again.
Prince Leonard’s face turned slightly stern and I could tell that he didn’t quite like the fact that I apologized again right after he had just told me that I shouldn’t. He withdrew his hand from my hair after gently stroking it a couple more times.
“Thank you for trying to make me feel better but you shouldn’t worry yourself about something that you can’t change, Mila...” he thanked me and warned me at the same time.
His words reminded me that my real purpose was to make the prince feel better and to cheer him up. It was never just about the food and my cooking to begin with.
“I just wanted to make you feel better...” I murmured softly.
“You’ve succeeded,” he replied before he grinned at me.
“What?” I whispered.
“You did make me feel a lot better, Mila. Thank you for that,” he thanked me warmly.
I suddenly felt very embarrassed and that made me even more aware of how close the prince was to me. When he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on my forehead, I closed my eyes tightly as my heart leap and beat wildly in my chest. For a moment, I forgot to breathe. Prince Leonard seemed to feel better than before so I thought that I must have succeeded just like he had told me. That thought brought a small smile to my lips and when his lips left my forehead, I slowly opened my eyes again to see him smiling at me.
“But you didn’t get to eat anything...” I murmured regretfully.
“You don’t have to worry about that. You’re the best meal that I could have ever wished for...” he replied teasingly.
His teasing words made my mind conjure up so many vivid memories of the moments we shared in the kitchen earlier. Suddenly, I felt heat rise up my neck to my cheeks and then all over my face. I was so certain that I was blushing as my embarrassment quickly took over me. I turned away from the prince and laid down on the bed before turning on my side and curling myself into a ball to hide away from him.
