What Iris said look like it had shaken up Rel from his delusion of Na. He refused to believe Na was no longer in this world, that she had vanished and Rei’s years, centuries of waiting was for nothing.

In the end, he couldn’t even find her soul. Not a word, not a goodbye, not even an anger from her. Nothing. She had gone and it was Lu, who was with her, in her last moment before her soul was completely fussed with Iris. Just like how she wanted centuries ago, in her last breath.

Even in her last moment, Na only thought of Lu.

"She is not going anywhere. I am going to protect her." Rei gritted his teeth when he said that, as he moved closer to Iris.

"But, you are the person that she needed to be protected from," Iris replied. She moved back from him because she realized her predicament. With how strong Rei was, there was no way lis could fight him head on if she didn’t think of a way to escape this situation.

"I love Na with everything in me. only if she gave me a chance, I can show her how much the love I have for her." Rei looked Iris deeply into her eyes. " You will not be here, having Na’s soul if it’s not for me."

Hearing that statement, Iris narrowed her eyes. "What do you mean with that?"

However, Rei didn’t answer her question, it seemed he had enough conversation with Iris and now he wanted to go through with his intention.

All Of sudden, he moved so fast, very fast until Iris couldn’t see him. This was what Rei was very capable to do. This was the signature of his ability.

In a blink of an eye, he was already in front of Iris and he pressed her body against the closed door behind her. He took both of her hands and held them above her head with only one hand, which made Iris falling into a panic state.

"What do you think you are doing? Let me go! Let me go right now, or I will make you regret it!"

Unfortunately, her threat didn’t work on Rei at all. You could see the craziness in his eyes and how desperate he was to prove it to her that she was wrong and Na was still there.

Rei then proceeded to put his other hand over Iris’s chest, as if he was trying to feel her heartbeat, but at the same time, he touched her sensitive part of her body and this made Iris really mad. She struggled against him like crazy.

It was a pity that whatever she was doing, she wouldn’t be able to outpower him in strength.

This was humiliation! Iris hated it to feel Rei’s hand over her chest! She felt violated and disgusted! She wanted to chop off his hands and gave them to the dogs!

" Get away from me! You bastard! You fucking bastard!" Iris screamed on the top of her lungs. She hoped someone would be able to hear her. Lou and Eales should be nearby because she was sure, the two of them were right behind her.

More so, Care shouldn’t be too far because she entered the house not long after him.

" Impossible ..." Rei muttered to himself when he opened his eyes. "No way... this can’t be happening. She shouldn’t be able to do this... this didn’t make sense at all, where I went wrong? I am sure, this can’t happen,"

Rei shook his head, but the more he denied it, the darker his eyes became, as if his black magic had covered his sight completely. What was wrong with him?

The more he denied it, the more glaring the evidence was that what Iris said was true. Na had gone. The fact hit him like a thunder and his grip on Iris’s wrists tightened, she felt like he was going to break her hands at this point.

" Na is still here! She is still here! I have not yet seen her! I have done everything to keep you by my side, but you did this to yourself? Why?! Why?!" Rei was screaming to Iris’s face, as if it was her fault that Na’s soul had vanished.

In that case, it was completely Na’s decision to dissapear from this realm, by fussing together with Iris.

"There is no way she disappeared! I have done everything!" Rei had gone crazy! He didn’t care about anything anymore!

He grabbed Iris by her shoulders and shook her body, until she felt her bones were rattled. She tried to stop him because she was afraid that it would hurt her babies.

"How can you leave me like that after everything that I had done for you! After all the gears I have spent to wait for you!"

"No! Stop!" Iris screamed at the top of her lungs at this point because she was scared to death for her babies. " I said stop! STOP!"

And that was when Iris let out an outburst of her power that sent Rei hurled away across the room until his body hit the wall so hard, it left a deep dent there.

But, that was also the time when Rei learned about her pregnancy. Through the burst of her power, he figured out that there were another power within her.

Rei roared angrily when he realized it.

" You are pregnant!" That was not a question, but a statement. He knew!

Rei knew about her pregnancy. How could he know?!

Out of instinct, Iris put her arms around her belly, her body turned defensive. Her blue eyes was ablazed with alert. She would do everything to protect her babies and her determination created a strong and powerful protection shield around her, purified the evilish thing around her, protecting her and the babies from black magic.

Protecting them from Rei.

Rei felt the power and it hurt him. He felt the pressure that pressed down his chest and burned his skin. This was the same feeling like when Iris stabbed him.

He should have backed off, but his anger prevented him from thinking straight. He couldn’t careless about himself, as he charged forward.

"How could you do this to me!?" Rei hollered on the top of his lungs. "How could you abandone me?!" Removed with so much difficulty, ignoring the fact his skin started peeling off and blood oozed out of his pores. His veins were protruding and the look on his face was menacing enough to send shiver down your spine.

Iris gritted his teeth. She was trying so hard to keep up the protection around her, while Rei insisted to keep walking forward, despite the damage that had been caused by Iris’s power. His anger closed his logic and numbed the pain.

" I waited for you! I have done the unthinkable because I want to keep you by my side! just like how we used to be!"

Rei let out his pain and bled in every step he took. It left blood footprints, as he screamed out his misery.

" I should have not let your mother to manipulate me! I shouldn’t have let your mother convinced me that she believed me! I shouldn’t have let her to make me believed her that she loved me!"

Iris was startled when she heard what Rei said. She had never thought of her mother and the question about her origin, only came by passing.

But after what Rei said, it revealed to her that he knew what happened to her mother and her origin.

She was shocked, but she immediately regained her bearing and focus on how to protect herself and her babies. Her origin was not an important thing for her right now.she only wanted to get out of this situation safely with her babies.

From the corner of her eyes, Lilac could see her little lights fluttered around her. Maybe it was only in her mind, but her two little lights looked distress, as if they were sensing what she felt at the moment.

It could be true, since they were still inside her body, they must be able to understand her emotion too. They shared the same heartbeat.

"It’s Okay babies, it’s okay. Mommy’s here. It’s Okay." Iris caressed her belly lightly, as if reassuring her babies. She wouldn’t let any harm befell upon her and her children. "It’s Okay. It’s Okay."

Iris looked around her and she watched how everything started to fade away. The color from everything around her blurred, as if the protection around her had purified it, which meant everything that she saw right now was a lie.

The black magic was weakened, it could be because of Iris’s power or it might be because Rei was wounded and every cells in his body that was made of black magic was being purified.

Iris stared at his sorry state, but she didn’t feel an ounce of sorry at all. She wanted to see him died and if she could, she wanted to make the process as painful as possible and if caused her to turn dark, it would be worthy.

There should be no one to threaten her and her babies, she would kill them without mercy!

Cane saw Aria, she looked so pale, as she cried pitifully. Her lips were quivering when she called his name.

Cane entered this house because he saw someone but, as it turned out, it was Aria. She threw herself toward Cane, yet before she could reach him, he already moved away.

The look of hurt in her eyes was apparent, but it didn’t touch Cane at all.

"What have I done so wrong, Cane? Why did you hate me so much? Have you forgotten what we have gone through together? The pain of all those years of slavery still haunted me until today."

Cane didn’t budge. He stared at her with a pair of callous eyes, as she recounted everything that happened, brought back all the memories from the past that he tried to forget.

What she did right now only let Cane saw more dearly how Aria always tried to inflict pain on him in order to tie him down with the past, because she still lived there.

"Cane, that woman hurt me. She hurt me, Cane." Aria whimpered. She looked pitiful like she always tried to appear in front of Cane. "She wanted to put discord between us. That woman is very evil! That woman wanted to take you away from me!"

The more she talked, the closer she got to Cane, which brought her here, In front of the alpha, in the end of her speech , which sounded more like a wailing banshee.

However, when she was about to hug him, he did something that the other person didn’t even see it Coming.

Cane used his barehand to pierce through her chest where supposed to be her heart was, but apparently there was nothing there, which was not something that surprised Cane at all.

"The person that you called as ’That woman’ is my mate."

After saying that, Cane retracted his hand and he watched Aria’s figure dissappeared like a smoke, but in the place was standing another woman, which made the alpha’s heart filled with warm, but anger at the same time.

Cane stared at Iris before him with cold eyes. It happened once in the past and it was so stupid if anyone, who had done it to think he would fall for it.

He didn’t in the past, there was no way he would this time too.

His mate looked beautiful like always. But no matter what, she wouldn’t be able to carry the air of calmness like low Iris did.

"Cane..." Iris called his name. "Cane, why are you staring at me like that? Come here, I want to show you something. I am sure this can help to take down Red Claw pack. You need to come with me." Iris stretched out her hand, asking for Cane to come with her.

Her voice was the same, it was very sickening. Cane wanted to cut her throat because she used his mate’s voice.

Cane wanted to claw her beautiful face, because she used Iris’s face. And that was what he did.

Cane was merciless when he took her hand and pulled her closer to him only for him to slash her throat and rip her beautiful face. The face that not belonged to her. How dare her to use her face and voice?

A loud scream erupted and the wall of this room was painted in bloody color of red.

Meanwhile upon seeing the horror before his eyes, the alpha didn’t even flinch, but his eyes were getting darker.

No matter what, it was still hard to see his mate was being hurt. Even when he knew it was not Iris, but to see her crying in pain and pleading for his help, while he didn’t do anything was getting on his conscience.

Cane knew there was something wrong the moment he entered this house. His meeting with Aria was the proof and then Iris.

However, the next person that Cane met was someone that he didn’t think he would see again.

This time, the woman didn’t try to approach him, instead she kept distance toward him., but her eyes filled with anger and sadness.
