Chapter 890: CANE’S METICULOUS PLAN

In the letter, it was mentioned about the annulment of Abby as the Serafim and for Iris to claim the position. It also mentioned about another thing, such a plan that they had, but there was no detail about it in this letter.

Abby had asked the same thing to Iris, for her to claim the position as the Serafim, but with this letter and they figured out that was the same plan that Rei had for Iris, there was no way it would be a good thing for her to go through with it.

In the letter, it also mentioned about whether or not Elder Dandolf had everything prepared.

"What do you think he is going to do?" Iris furrowed her brows, her blue eyes sharper, as she touched her belly. She remembered what Abby said earlier about what Rei would do to every Serafim’s daughter.

If she became a Serafim, Rei would definitely dig his claw on Iris and force the Holy Kingdom’s rule on her.

Once you finished reading this letter and heard what Abby said about Rei, you would be able to see this plan as clear as day.

"He will not be able to do anything to you," Lou said. "You have the whole southern pack in your mate’s disposal." Lou looked at Cane. "And I am sure he will not stop there. I am very certain that his aim is the throne." The merchant talked to Iris as if Cane was not there. "There is nothing to be worried about."

Iris didn’t say anything, she was very quiet. When it came to that, she was sure it would be another problem that waited for them after they were done with Decratic. Even if they won this war, there would be a threat of another war that hang above their head with the appearance of Rei.

If Decratic was pure evil, then Rei was filled with a lot of manipulation. He had lived for over than five centuries and he was the one, who literally had built the Holy Kingdom and controlled everything from the shadow.

It would be a tricky situation with a lot of schemes laid before them.

And that would be their future if they had to face Rei.

Later that night when they laid down side by side on the bed and the sky had turned so dark, Iris stared at Cane’s sleeping face. He looked very tired, because there were a lot of things he had to do.

Cane also had not yet told them about his plan with the protection shield, he only told her and Lou to wait for two days.

"This must be a lot for you," Iris whispered. She hoped, she could be smarter and was able to help Cane to think of a solution, or at least, came up with a brilliant idea to save the situation.

From the corner of her eyes, she saw her two little lights. While the other floated around energetically, the other rested on Cane’s shoulder and this brought smile to Iris’s lips. She promised to do everything she could to protect them and stood by Cane’s side throughout everything life threw at them.

"Is there something you want to eat?" Cane suddenly asked, he opened his eyes, still looked sleepy, but he must have sensed that iris had not yet slept.

Iris smiled beautifully. She liked this look on him when he was being sleepy and less intimidating. "No. I don’t want anything, I only want you." She pulled her up to kiss his lips and Cane put his hand behind her head to deepen their kiss.

Two days later, everyone gathered around the protection shield, all the warriors and knights also the magic users were ready to charge forward once the protection was broken.

But above anything else, they wondered how the luna would do it, since hundred of magic users coupled with Elder Rose couldn’t have done it.

Everyone still assumed Iris would be the one, who would do it, even she had prepared herself, but Cane kept saying to her that was not necessary for her to get involved in this matter.

"After so long, finally there is some progress." Kian glanced at Lou, who was standing next to the luna. It had been so long ever since the last time he talked with Nala and even when she went to Diandem pack with Sabian, he still couldn’t have a conversation with her. That woman seemed to avoid him and choose to be the merchant’s woman.

Somehow, Kian knew that he was being used to get information about the luna and when he didn’t give in, Nala stopped her attempt to be with him. It was very obvious...

"I think the alpha is only taking his time." Zephyr glanced at Cane, who was talking with Elder Xarex. "If the idea came from alpha Cane, I am sure he will make the most of it." There was no doubt for that.

On the other hand, Iris was talking with Lou. The two of them stood side by side at the back, along with the other magic users. Not too far from them, they could see Abby, Liam, Cedric and her other three holy knights.

But aside from exchanging glance, they didn’t speak with each other.

"Are you sure Cane didn’t need you to break down the protection shield?" Lou crossed his arms in front of his chest. "What he is going to do? Is he going to break it down himself?"

Iris couldn’t answer that, because she didn’t have any idea about it either.

But soon enough they figured out what Cane had been planning and Lou was dumbstruck for not being able to thing of that way when the answer was right before his eyes.

"He is insane! Do you think he will be able to pull it through?!" Lou asked Iris, who was as clueless as him.

Cane’s plan was rather simple, his problem was how to convince the elders, since they were extremely reluctant to let the lycan played any part in this. They would feel like they owed the lycan and in was kind of debt with this cursed creature.

However, Cane let them chose. Whether he would do it, or they could try to use more magic stone and magic users to break it down, since Cane was strongly against the idea to use his mate to do the job. He didn’t say the reason, neither he let them knew about Iris’s pregnancy.

"I am sure he will," Iris replied. If Cane had made a decision, he must have thought about it countless time.

Lou scoffed. "I think you will always believe him, even when he said he can split the ocean." The merchant was not happy with Iris’s blind trust in Cane.

"Maybe," Iris chuckled.

Soon after all the preparation was completed, Cane stood in front of the protection shield and he let out the black wisp.

The black wisp emanated from his body like a burst of broken dam, covered a huge area and turned the bright sky into darkness. The lycan had recovered well.

"Holy shit..." Lou cursed under his breath. "Is he really this powerful?"
