Chapter 883: KNEEL BEFORE ME!
Chapter 883: KNEEL BEFORE ME!
Lou was still not thrilled with the fact there was another four more protectors that bore the same birthmark like him. What was the deal? Why it needed five protectors? One was enough, right? The first Serafim only had one and that was enough.
However, he liked the idea that he shared a special bond with her, the fact that their fate tangled together.
He must be crazy to fancy someone else’s woman, but then he was indeed that kind of person, who didn’t think much about opinion of other people. Since when he cared, as long as he was benefited and right now, he only wanted to be close with this woman. This feeling didn’t go away even when he knew this woman was pregnant.
"Let’s wrap this up quickly, so you can rest." Cane wrapped his arms around her waist protectively as they walked toward the training ground in the Chrystal Moon pack, where Redmond had been waiting for them along with the five thousand warriors from Blue Moon pack.
Redmond’s eyes trailed down to her stomach.
"I still don’t think this is a good idea," Redmond said in small voice, as he walked with Iris, while Cane followed behind them with Lou. "But... congratulation."
Iris smiled softly at him. "Thank you, Redmond." Iris had her lizard in her arms, she cradled the creature that had grown bigger, it had been very instrumental in helping Cane in delivering his secret messages.
They walked quietly. Iris was wearing maroon dress under her black cloak, she looked stunning and the color gave off a mysterious vibes.
"You are different now." Redmond glanced at Iris. "The way you carried yourself is different now."
"I know." Iris also could feel how she changed. "A lot of things have changed me."
"But, I like you right now. Your old self will not be able to handle this." Redmond opened the door to the training ground, where all of the warriors from Blue Moon pack had been waiting for Iris. "But, you at this moment, surely can."
When Iris stepped inside the training ground, the lizard leapt from her arms and breathed fire, which the flames caught all of the warriors’ attention. At the same time, Iris summoned the Sylph. The air spirit looked very magnificent under the pale moonlight and the bright flames from the lizard.
All the warriors gasped in shocked to see her entrance.
"Don’t you think this is too much?" Redmond glanced at Lou. He was in awed with the way Iris chose to make her first appearance in front of her former pack member, the warrior from her father’s pack.
This first appearance was for her to claim her right as the luna of the pack.
"Why? He agreed with this magnificent entrance." Lou elbowed Cane beside him. The alpha agreed with the concept and it was necessary to show these warriors that Iris was not that timid girl they used to know, or that wrecked woman, who just lost her babies.
She was powerful and would be able to lead the pack. It was important to give a strong impact for the first time they saw her.
"More so, this is not enough." Lou smirked, he took a step to stand behind Iris and he made the fire even more lively. He made the sky turned so bright, as if it was day and when he used his magic, he felt there was something different, but he couldn’t point his finger about what was that.
"Don’t you want to stop him?" Redmond moved to stand beside Cane.
"Let him be," Cane replied. He himself didn’t make appearance, because tonight was all about Iris and how she convinced them to pledge their loyalty to her.
"What is that?!" Ethan just arrived. He supposed to be here with Redmond, but there was something he needed to do. Behind him, Will followed. "Is Iris showing off her power now?"
"That’s his idea." Redmond nodded at Lou, who looked even more excited than Iris herself.
A moment later, the flames died out, but the Sylph stayed, the air spirit looked so big, but the shape of it was not so vivid, as if this creature was soft fog in the air.
The five thousand warriors fell into uproar after their initial shock worn off. Only then, Redmond stepped forward and spoke in loud voice.
"KNEEL BEFORE YOUR LUNA!" Redmond roared. His voice echoed throughout the area, carried by the howling wind.
Iris stepped forward, letting herself to be exposed, so they all could see her. Currently she was standing in the higher platform, which gave her the advantage, because from her vantage point, she could look down at them, like a goddess, who looked at the world beneath her feet.
"Pledge your loyalty to me and I will bring honor to our pack!" Iris said in loud voice, which was enough to silence them.
"What do you mean by bringing honor!? We refused to pledge loyalty to you, until you proved it to us that you worthy of the title!" One of the warriors bold enough to voice out his refusal and some of them supported his claim.
"I have told you this might happen," Redmond said in low voice, he had warned her before through the letter he sent her.
"I know," Iris replied calmly.
"What are you going to do now?" Redmond was interested of how Iris would win their heart.
But, who was talking about wining their heart. Most of the pack only had one rule, this was barbaric and was very obsolete, which was; the stronger would lead and the weaker would follow.
Iris didn’t come here with a preparation of a long speech to convince them of how capable she was, or how she could play her role as the luna of the pack.
That was not necessary when she could do something more outright and impactful.
"Kneel before me, or else..." Iris swiped her cold eyes at them. "I will make you."
