Chapter 881: SEALED THEIR FATE
Seeing Lou’s predicament, Iris simply shrugged her shoulders, staring at him with her bright, innocent eyes.
"What can I do? If you can’t even fight him, do you think I stand a chance?" Iris emphasized how she was only a little lady here.
"Fine! Fine! Fine! Don’t touch me! I will take off my clothes!" Lou was annoyed beyond word.
But, actually Cane reached out something from behind him and didn’t pay attention to the merchant at all, as he retrieved that and returned to sit down next to Iris.
"What is that?" Iris asked, she didn’t look at Lou when he took off his cloak and then his clothes.
"Report from Celestial Moon pack," Cane replied. He handed the report to Iris so she could read it.
"Do you still have spy there?" Iris asked incredulously. It had been a while since the last report from Celestial Moon pack.
"Yes, but it’s extremely hard for him to get a word out of there." The report came a week ago when Iris was still sick, thus she only knew about it now.
Iris read the letter and needless to say, the situation there was not good. It mentioned there was a few cracks on the ground and it let out red smoke. Anyone, who breathed in it for long would fall sick and then died.
The report was not long, but it highlighted the main problem there. The smoke that was mentioned must be poisonous miasma. They encountered the same thing when they almost destroyed Decratic.
"This is..." Iris put down the letter.
"Poisonous miasma," Cane finished her sentence. "Apparently it appeared in a few packs too. He handed her the letters from his other spies. "We know about poisonous miasma in Diandem pack, but aside from that pack and Celestial Moon pack, apparently it also appeared in Red Claw pack, Golden Light pack, Moon Dew pack and Winter Moon pack."
"You have your spies in those places?!" Lou was surprised. They were having a hard time to penetrate the protection around Winter Moon pack, but Cane actually got information from there? "How can you do that?"
"Is it the lizard?" Iris guessed.
"You are very smart." Cane kissed her cheek to get the right answer and Iris smiled sheepishly, while Lou felt like he wanted to rush out of this tent.
Here he was, standing half naked in front of this couple, while they were being lovey dovey with each other.
"Thanks to you we can find a safe way to communicate with the other spies." Cane kissed Iris cheek again.
"Can you stop that?" Lou grunted. "Now I am half naked, what are you going to do with me?" He cut them off before they could do something more than this and demanded Iris’s attention.
Iris stood up, so did Cane, as he escorted her toward Lou.
"Can you just sit down? I feel like I am being ganged up," Lou complained, but of course, Cane wouldn’t listen.
"Turn around, I want to see your birthmark." Iris noticed Lou had a good body, though he appeared a little bit skinny compared to those muscular warriors and knights, but of course, Cane’s body was the best!
Iris blushed when she had that thought and Cane didn’t seem to be happy when he saw that, thinking she was blushing because she saw another man’s naked body.
Cane took Lou’s cloak and draped it on his shoulder, lifting the part where Iris still could see his birthmark.
"What are you doing?!" Lou struggled, but there was this annoying black wisp that rendered him unable to move. "Damn it! not this again!"
This was not the first time Lou was being in this position.
"Lou, stop moving," Iris said, she bent her body to look at his birthmark and it was exactly the same like the one Zale had.
"Is it the same?" Cane asked.
"Yes." Iris nodded.
"The same? The same with what? With the Holy Knight’s crest?" Lou had heard this before.
"Yes, and also with Zale." Iris let him knew about this. "He also has the same birthmark like you."
"No way!" Lou refused to have any similarity with that brat! "What? Do you think we are like lost brother or something? I don’t want to have anything to do with that pup!"
Iris chuckled. "I think the feeling is mutual." She was completely right about this and if Zale was here, he definitely would say the same thing. "Now, don’t move."
"Can’t you see? Your mate literally tied me up." Lou didn’t need to be told not to move, because he couldn’t. Cane made things easier for Iris. "What are you going to do with me though?"
Lou didn’t have any idea what Iris was doing, but when he felt her finger touched his back, he felt this burning sensation and couldn’t help, but scream.
"That’s hurt!" Lou grunted.
"Alpha! Luna! What happened?!" Zephyr and Dean entered the tent because they heard Lou was screaming and watched what was going on there.
The birthmark on Lou’s back lightened up with golden light, as if there was fire crawled in the line of his birthmark, making it more palpable to see, as if someone just created a tattoo on his body, shaping the line of his birthmark to be more precise.
"Bring Zale here," Cane said, while Iris concentrated on the birthmark on Lou’s back, while the merchant tried to hold back his scream.
"Y- yes, alpha." The two of them immediately left with a lot of question in their mind about what their luna was doing to the merchant.
Once Iris was done, Cane released Lou and his body fell on the ground, he was panting.
"W- what was that?" Lou still felt the pain, but it gradually subsided. "What have you done to me?" he turned his head to look at Iris.
"I remembered, in the past, you said we will be together for long time, I think that’s true now."
