The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter -
Chapter 864: HOW LU HANDLED THINGS
Chapter 864: HOW LU HANDLED THINGS
Everyone there were stunned, aside from Iris, Jace and Ethan, the other people were shocked to realize the stark different between Cane and the lycan.
This was obviously not Cane, because the alpha had never acted so reckless like this, neither he would cuss and act so rowdy.
This man had the same face and body like Cane, but they could tell the different almost immediately aside from his red eyes that he was not Cane.
"So, for your own sake, shut up and start to listen more." Lu glared at Elder Xarex, but the elder actually started to speak after he finished.
"My apology for what happened..."
"Apology not accepted."
"I know..."
"You know nothing."
"This may sound bad..."
"It sounds horrendous."
"I didn’t mean to get rid of you, but you almost killed us when you attacked us."
"I meant to kill you, though."
"...."
The room fell into a deafening silence and Ethan was having a hard time not to laugh. He was exercising his breathing technic, so he wouldn’t burst into a fit of laughter with the way Lu shut the elder up. It was too funny to see Elder Xarex’s face, thus Ethan lowered his head and breathed in, breathed out...
Beside the gamma, the beta kept kicking his leg to remind him to control himself.
"Good." Lu nodded in satisfaction. "You really need to be taught how to listen."
It was clear to see for everyone in this room how hard Elder Xarex was trying to conceal his anger, but he failed miserably and Lu didn’t care much about what he felt.
"First, you need to engrave this in your mind that only the sixth sword within me that could destroy the real Decratic. You can fuck off if you tried to get rid of me again." Lu didn’t even care with his choice of word. "Forget about that and I might as well get rid of you too."
Elder Rose and Elder Dandolf said nothing, but the look on their faces were so uncomfortable. For someone, who always in the position of power, being told not to speak what was in their mind was something they had never experienced before.
But, it would be crazy for them if they insisted to speak over the lycan. They could feel this cursed creature’s strong presence and how intimidating he was, though Lu’s condition was still not stable yet.
"The three of you will cooperate with Lou, leading the magic users and you." Lu pointed his finger at Cedric. "You will lead the knights. And you and you." Lu pointed Ethan and Cezi now. "You will lead the warriors and we will march toward the Winter Moon pack in two days."
The plan was very simple, if you could call this a plan at all.
"Alpha, we need to make an elaborate plan to attack them. We got the information that their reinforcement just docked their ship a few days ago," Jace spoke up, he didn’t think this was a good idea at all to march toward Winter Moon pack with this simple plan. "We need to set a strategy of how to deal with their dark magic users. Our information about them has not yet completed."
Jace didn’t use to get things done like this, since Cane used to think everything thoroughly and gather as much as information he could.
"And then what? Wait for them to attack us or come up with their strategy to get us? And then what after that? Everything will come down to a battle in the end." Lu tilted his head at Jace.
"But, the dark magic user..." Elder Xarex wanted to speak, but Lu cut him off.
"You deal with them." Lu waved his hand nonchalantly, as if saying; should I tell you what to do? Wasn’t it very obvious? "You took it upon yourself to fight those magic users, you can deal with them too."
It was the elders, who dealt with Dexter and Zeke during the fight, even against Decratic too and Lu referred to that moment.
"We don’t know Decratic’s condition right now, but obviously he will be very weak, it’s the right time to attack. We will leave in two days and make all the preparation. All the people, who can fight will come. That’s it." Lu stood up, he had been so itchy to leave this room. He hated it to be surrounded by the elders and strangers.
"About the Serafim..."
And once again Lu cut off Elder Xarex’s words. "She will be with me."
"No, I mean the Serafim..."
"I only know one Serafim and she is right by my side." Lu didn’t acknowledge Abby at all. They could get her to join the elders or put her anywhere, that was not his concern.
"About her pregnancy... we can’t bring her because it will cause harm to the baby." The elders had decided among them that they would need to keep the baby and will come up with a story to be fed to the people in the Holy Kingdom about how the Serafim was pregnant out of wedlock.
They had discussed about the suitable punishment for Cedric too and none of it had been talked with Abby.
Hearing what they said, Abby raised her head, she didn’t believe elder Xarex would bring this topic up when there was Cezi and his beta here, they didn’t know about this matter at all!
Meanwhile, Lu simply gave them a nasty look and said nothing, he helped Iris to stand up and walk out of the room with long strides with her, as if he would get a plague or a disease if he stayed a little bit longer.
"Lu, I don’t think it’s wise to march toward Winter Moon pack in two days without being fully prepared first." Iris didn’t say the logic behind it was wrong, since everything would come to this point, where they needed to battle their way to get to Decratic. It would happen sooner or later. But, Lu was being too reckless. "We need to make a plan, don’t you think?"
"The plan is to get control over Winter Moon pack, killed all Decratic’s follower and then kill that ugly creature that had been a headache for centuries. That’s the plan." Lu wrapped his arm around her waist possessively.
"It didn’t sound like a plan..." Iris mumbled.
"It did." Lu insisted.
On their way to their bedroom, they met with Lou, who just arrived from meeting with the merchants from Karam. All of them heard what happened in the Black Market and needless to say, they were not so thrilled with the news, since it meant most of them had to suffer a great lost.
Lou used this momentum to get the merchant on their side, as per Cane’s instruction. They would use their anger to gather forces and attack Moon Dew pack.
Cane had planned about this carefully, since Winter Moon pack and Moon Dew pack were on the east kingdom. Once they took down Winter Moon pack and control their harbor, the merchant could come from there and together they would continue their attack toward Moon Dew pack.
That was Cane’s plan and Lou was working on it, since he was a merchant, it would be easier for him to gather their support.
"Ah! I have good news!" Lou’s face lit up when he saw Iris, but his mood immediately turned sour when he saw the person beside her, even more he saw his red eyes. "Is it that... lycan?" Lou asked in low voice.
Even he himself could tell that he shouldn’t mess with this cursed creature.
"What do you mean with that lycan?" Lu narrowed his eyes, unhappy. "Move away."
"I need to talk with her about..." Lou stopped himself when Lu growled and black wisp emanated from his body. Okay. This was bad. He might have the courage to provoke Cane because that man was logical, but this lycan was simply crazy. There was no win against a madman. "I will talk to you later!"
"There is no later! Scram!" Lu didn’t like the smell of this merchant, especially his red cloak that was a sore in his eyes.
"Lu!"
Two days. She hoped within two days Cane would return and make things right, but it would always be Lu when she woke up, while people started to make a hasty preparation to go to Winter Moon pack.
Now Iris became worried. What happened with Cane? Why after that night he had never appeared again? Was he very weak to take over his body? Or Lu was getting stronger and managed to stay for this long?
"Lu, tell me why Cane is not here?" Iris supported her body with her elbows when she stared at him. Both of them were laying down on the bed and it was the night before they left for Winter Moon pack. They would leave early in the morning, but even after midnight, Iris still couldn’t sleep a wink. "Is he very weak?"
Lu himself didn’t look like he had regained all of his strength, but in this case, Cane must be weaker than him.
"Is he very hurt? Is he in so much pain?" Iris was worried so much. She knew Cane was there and his wolf spirit was the weakest since she was able to see it, but... "Have you been suppressing him?"
Lu didn’t like this question, it almost felt like Iris didn’t want him... that Na didn’t want him...
"Poisonous miasma is very dangerous. He breathed in plainly."
