Lou was supposed to be with Cane, because Iris had asked him a favor to keep his eyes on her mate, in which he begrudgingly accepted it, because when she pleaded with him, she looked like she was on the verge of breaking down and Lou hated it to see her very vulnerable and distress like that.

However, because Cane was within the pack fortress and the battle had not yet broken out, he didn’t to be so close with the alpha, being so close with him only gave him goosebumps.

And this news arrived, Cane knew Iris would hear it sooner or later, thus he told Lou to go to Iris and stopped her from doing anything reckless, as if he could predict what his mate would.

Though the alpha didn’t like the idea of Lou being close with Iris, but it was only him that he could send to her, since his warriors wouldn’t be able to stand her power.

Cane had expected this would come to this and his warriors were unable to stop her, but what he didn’t expect was; Lou actually helped Iris to go to the Goffa mountain!

Cane relied on how much Lou cared for Iris, despite how disturbing his desire for his mate, but Iris’s safety was priority for him.

They were confused and before they could have a better judgement, someone had opened the gates out of instinct, since it was an order from someone on their side and the merchant look in hurry. They only realized the luna was with Lou when the horse already passed the gates.

"What is going on? Is that the luna?" They were all confused.

Joel saw that too and immediately went to see Ethan, since Jace had gone with the alpha to the Goffa mountain, they didn’t bring a lot of warriors with them, since they learned their enemy only brought a handful warriors too to destroy the burial ground.

"Ethan! Gamma Ethan!" Joel rushed into a small meeting room in the fortress without even knocking first.

"What!? What is it?!" The gamma was immediately on alert, thinking the worse had happened. "Are we under attack?!"

It would be very troublesome if they were under attack when Cane was not here, he felt like he got a déjà vu if something like that really happened again.

"No!" Joel shook his head vigorously.

"What is it?" Ethan knitted his brwos. The way how panic Joel was, it looked like they were being besieged or something.

"No, they have not yet attacked us but the luna has gone to the Goffa Mountain with Lou!" Joel said, he explained briefly about what happened and Ethan groaned in frustration.

"Why there is no one stopped her?!" Ethan roared, as he went out of the room to issue an order to get Iris back. He couldn’t leave the fortress because the alpha and the beta were not present.

Another two people rushed toward Ethan and they were Aliana and Zephyr. They shifted into their human form at the same time, as their expression looked ashen, the pain only subsided when the luna had gone far away from them. They didn’t know how the luna could do that, but there was no need for explanation, as they had to get the luna back to the safety!

"You need to send warriors to chase after the luna!" Aliana approached Ethan hastily.

"I am going to do so!" Ethan said and then glared at Zephyr. "How can you let her go like that?! Did Lou help her to escape?!"

Ethan knew how Lou had unhealthy desire toward Iris, but he thought, he would put her safety above anything else, yet this happened.

"No, actually..." Zephyr then explained what had happened briefly and just like him, Ethan was gobsmacked that Iris could pull something like that.

"She can do that?" Ethan knitted his brows.

Aliana then chimed in about how she had witnessed Iris to put the other shifter in pain, but because she didn’t pay close attention to that, she didn’t think too much.

And yet, she shook her head. "It doesn’t matter now, we need to find the luna immediately before something happened to her!"

Ethan immediately rearranged a few warriors to go to the Goffa mountain. He really wanted to go, but he couldn’t leave the pack when they were under the pressure like this and a battle could break out any time.

"I will go," Aliana said firmly, but Ethan was strongly against it.

"No!" Ethan growled, this time, he subdued her to follow his order, something that he had never done before.

Even though Aliana was the beta’s sister, but she herself, didn’t hold any rank within the pack. Her rank came from her brother, yet compared to Ethan, she needed to follow him, especially when Cane and Jace were not in the pack. It was Ethan, who was in charge.

Ethan knew, Aliana would resent him for forcing her to stay with this method, but he couldn’t let her go!

In the end, Aliana could only grit her teeth and stay behind like what Ethan told her to do. The gamma was always an easy going person, who would laugh so often, but once his smile disappear and his eyes became cold, as he asserted his position, unless it was Cane or Jace, no one could go against his order.

In the end, Iris’s five warriors went to get Iris back, along with Joel and Finn. There were seven of them, they went from different gates, so they wouldn’t attract any attention from their enemies.

The seven beasts rushed toward the pack’s burial ground, trying to catch up with the luna and the merchant, but they were too late, something had happened there when they arrived...

"My lord..." Zeke called for Decratic solemnly. He knelt down in front of him with Dexter did the same gesture slightly behind, they lowered their head. "We have captured three more packs in the south. Silver River pack, Bloody Wolf pack and Chrystal Moon pack."

Silver River pack was a pack that Cane abandoned, since he didn’t see the value on defending that place, more so there was a strange disease there.

However, Decratic specifically wanted that pack.

Meanwhile, Chrystal Moon pack was the only pack in the south with harbor, therefore with Chrystal Moon pack and Winter Moon pack were in Decratic’s hand, there was no way Cane or the Serafim could get reinforcement from the Holy Kingdom even when the winter ended and you could travel by the sea again.

"Kellan has gone to Diandem pack to have a face off against alpha Colter and the remaining warriors under him." Zeke continued.

After alpha Colter withdrew from the Aggeverya Road, they based their remaining strength in Diandem pack. It was only a matter of time before they conquered the pack and Kellan could march toward the next pack.

"Hm..." Decratic intoned, as he stared into the darkness. His mind was deep in thought.

Currently they were in the untouched land, near the border of the Celestial Moon pack. The forest that filled with beasts and monsters.

This cave was so big and dark, but every now and then you could see there was something inside there. Something gigantic and ominous. Something that most of the people thought had long extinct. This thing also the reason why the monsters around acted strangely and became more active, even when it was winter, where they supposed to be hibernating.

"You can go, Zeke, I want to have a conversation with Dexter," Decratic said languidly. Breeze of cold wind fluttered his robe, he looked ethereal.

People wouldn’t believe someone like Alan could pull such strong aura and presence, but again, he was not Alan.

"Yes, my lord," Zeke said solemnly before he left, but he glanced at his son, warning him not to do something that could upset their master.

Once it was only the two of them, Decratic tilted his head at Dexter. "I should thank you for your effort to bring me back to live." His words were as sweet as nectar, but you couldn’t trust a word from a devil like him. "But, I know there is something that you desire... something as dark as my black magic." A smile rose on the corner of his lips. "Tell me what you desire, Dexter."

Cane took Jace, Dean and Pax with him, along with another ten warriors to go to the burial ground, but it was too late. The place had ruined and fire burned the trees around it.

Outside of the cave, the alpha could see alpha Nolan and Aria. The two of them watched the flames with an eerie smile on their lips. They looked satisfied upon seeing their work.

The trees were burning and the entrance of the cave had been ruined, you couldn’t get inside anymore.

Cane’s cold eyes turned malice, his killing intent became even stronger, in which that was the first thing that they sensed first.

Alpha Nolan immediately turned his body around, so did Aria, they two of them were on guard, but there was a longing in Aria’s eyes when she finally saw Cane again.

"Cane... finally you are here," Aria whispered.
