The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 749: A MURDER ATTACK

Chapter 749: A MURDER ATTACK

First, the crows attacked the Red Claw pack, killing numerous people there, while the warriors couldn’t defend their territory against the attack and had to take shelter inside a building, royal warriors that was led by prince Kellan attacked them.

The royal warriors killed Red Claw pack’s warriors, took pleasure from their women before eventually killed them and brought the children to Decratic.

"Let that one and that one go," Kellan said to one of the warriors to bring two little girls from the group of children that would be taken back to the capital city.

There were around seventy children in the group, Decratic wouldn’t mind if he missed two or three of them.

The royal warrior immediately grabbed two crying girls from the group, they were around eight to ten years old with curly hair and bright brown eyes. They looked terrified.

At this point, Kellan couldn’t care less about his reputation, as a ’good prince’. He had spent his whole life to live up the image and get nothing, more so, there was no one to be pleased anymore at this point.

His king father had died and all the shifters and people in this continent were in ruined. People’s opinion was no longer important and Kellan had witnessed it with his own eyes how powerful Decratic was. He knew that man was not Alan and didn’t mind a little bit about it. In a way, he liked his reign...

The two girls blinked their eyes when they saw Kellan got off his horse and approached them with warm smile. In exchange of his legs, he lost his beast, but he gained the power to lead warriors from the Golden Light pack and in his eyes, it was a fair exchange.

"What are you crying for?" Kellan asked, he knelt down in front of the two little girls, he caressed their cheeks and wiped their tears. "Are you afraid?"

They nodded, blinking their eyes, as they looked around them, but all they could see was scary faces and cries from the children. The only person, who was smiling at them and offered comfort was this man before their eyes.

"Don’t be afraid, I will take care of you, okay?" Kellan kissed their cheeks gently and then picked up the two of them in his arms, as he promised to give them sweets.

"I want my mother..." The girl, who looked younger than the other said, her voice was shaking because she was being snatched away from her mother and she didn’t know where she was.

"It’s okay, let’s go find your mother." Kellan kissed her forehead, as he strode toward his carriage. "But, before that, you must be hungry. Let’s eat something, okay? I have something delicious for you two. Do you want it?"

"I want my mother..." The little girl repeated again, as she sobbed.

In the distance, Redmond was there, watching everything unfolded and then tipped his head to stare at the sky, which now covered by the black crows, while listening to wailing of children and boisterous laugh of the royal warriors after they took their turned to assault some women in this pack.

"I hate crows..." Redmond said with a sigh.

After that, the royal warriors moved from Red Claw pack to Golden Light pack. With the help with the cursed creatures like these crows, it was easy enough for them to take back the two pack in the west.

Of course, alpha Dax from Golden Light pack was overjoyed to get his territory back and was on fire to march toward the Aggeverya Road to kill all of the people there.

Unfortunately, when they arrived, the warriors had been evacuated under alpha Colter’s lead, they moved back to Diandem pack and based their remaining power there. Now, they lost the west and alpha Colter was extremely enraged because he lost his pack! His mines!

He still had his witches force, but he needed to get a word from Cane first before he could make any move. He needed his advice, somehow, he relied on the alpha from the Howling Wolf pack too much and he didn’t even realize it.

The problem was; they were being isolated and couldn’t even send another message hawk to ask about what the next move. Alpha Colter was stuck and he was furious to see the crows that tried to breakthrough the windows.

"Call all the witches!" alpha Colter’s face turned very dark. If he didn’t do anything, they would be dead once those cursed crows managed to break in.

He didn’t want to die!

While the survival hid from the crows and numerous people died because of it, since these vicious creatures attacked anything they saw, but strangely enough, the crows knew not to attack people that were not their enemy.

"These crows are a sore in my eyes," Aria scowled, she was sitting inside a carriage with lady Cyan, who tried her hard not to kill the woman before her, since it would upset Dexter.

Lady Cyan couldn’t understand why her brother was very fond of this stupid woman, who only knew how to spit thrashy words. She had no brain at all.

"When we will arrive in the Howling Wolf pack? Can’t we move faster?" Aria grumbled, she had spent days inside the carriage and hated every second of it. Lady Cyan was another sight that hurt her eyes.

Currently, they were heading toward Howling Wolf pack, marched with thousand of warriors. These warriors were joint effort of five packs; Golden Light pack, Winter Moon pack, Moon Dew pack, Royal pack and then... Celestial Moon pack.

Cezi was against his father’s decision to send their warriors to join the fight against Cane, but his father was not able to refuse the king’s call, since he had pledged his loyalty to the new king.

"You betrayed your best friend’s son!" Cezi was enraged, he was very disappointed with his father.

"I already did when I pledged my loyalty to the king," alpha Derick said gloomily to his son. He couldn’t deny that. It hurt his heart and pride, but he needed to think of his daughter that was in the palace and only wished prince Kellan could raise again and make things right.

============================

From the sound out there, Iris knew the crows managed to break into the pack house. A second later, Grace and Hanna came to confirm that.

"Missy! You need to..." Hanna looked panic, but her voice was cut short when Iris immediately stood up and handed over baby Rora into her arms. "Miss what are you doing?!" She was freaking out, because she seemed to know what her missy was going to do. "No! You can’t go out there! It’s too dangerous! You need to stay! The alpha told you to stay!"

However, Iris didn’t listen to that, she took Abby’s hand, the Serafim’s face blanched when she heard the shrill scream from outside and vicious growls of the beasts.

They could think of a plan or tactic to fight a thousand warriors, but a thousand crows was different story. It was simply a massacre on their side if they didn’t do anything about it.

"Wh- what?" Abby asked, she didn’t realize Iris was talking to her because she was too scared upon hearing the commotion behind the door.

"Where is my lizard?" Iris asked Abby seriously, while Hanna and Grace tried to persuade her not to go out of the room, but they were ignored.

"The salamander supposed to be in my room." Abby remembered to leave the little fellow inside her bedroom, as the salamander was sleeping after being overused to send letter to the Holy Kingdom. Abby refused to return the salamander because she felt that creature should belong to the Serafim.

For the first time, the people in the Holy Kingdom praised her for being able to find the salamander and this made her felt worth it. She didn’t want to give it back to Iris.

"We will take the Salamander," Iris said curtly. But then, Abby couldn’t say anything when Iris wanted to take it back. "Summon the Sylph, I will sustain it."

Abby didn’t have time to think, as Iris grabbed her hand and took her out of the room. Grace and Hanna wanted to stop her, but Iris had closed the door and told them to take care of Rora.

"What are you doing here?! Get inside!" Liam was shocked to see Abby. His face covered with blood, it seemed, he was barely able to get away from the crow attack.

"You are bleeding!" Abby exclaimed, her heart lurched to see how badly injured Liam was. She was worried about him and this overshadowed her fear at the crows that kept trying to get to them.

All the warriors beast came to Iris when they saw her and nudged her back to the room. It was very dangerous out here!

Meanwhile, Iris watched how the crows killed some of the pack member, beak on the children and attacked the beast.

In the distance, Iris could see Lou was trying to expand his protection, but he must have run out of the magic stone.

"Abby! The sylph!" Iris reminded her, she yanked her hand so she could focus on the danger before their eyes, instead of worrying about Liam.

Only then, Abby realized their predicament and distanced herself from Liam, as she called for the Sylph.

From outside perspective, it would look like the Serafim, who called the mystical creature, but in truth, the power came from Iris.

"Lou!" Iris called for the merchant.
