Chapter 716: BLACK RAIN AND DARK SKY (58)

Chapter 716: BLACK RAIN AND DARK SKY (58)

From the portal, there was not only one Vermeyes, but there were two, three, four and more different kind of monsters came through the portal.

With this so many monsters that appeared all of sudden within the pack house’s gates, of course it was a nightmare.

But the bad news was, the portal that Iris, Cane and Lou saw were not the only portal, which kept vomiting monsters, there were at least four more all over the pack and it caused an uproar.

The warriors gathered as fast as they could to fast the monster, so did the knights, but they didn’t expect this sudden attack, as they were having a hard time to make a formation of protection. More so, there were so many monsters right now.

"Take her to the safe place!" Cane barked an order to Lou before he shifted into his beast. He was well aware the magic stone the merchant had right now was not enough to face these monsters, more so there was his mate he had to think about.

No matter how Cane disliked Lou, he trusted him not to put Iris in harm way.

"Come on, Iris!" Lou said, as he grabbed Iris’s hand and was about to take her away from this place, which had turned into a battlefield.

"No!" Iris refused. She swatted Lou’s hand. "Cane will not be able to take them down! These monsters are controlled by dark magic!"

Iris knew the reason behind Cane’s order to make Lou take her away, because he was about to use the lycan’s power to control these monsters, but it wouldn’t do if they were already controlled by dark magic.

The same thing had happened before when they travelled to Silver River pack for the first time and they had to face monster attack, in which the monsters were controlled by dark magic.

If Iris left Cane here, he wouldn’t be able to take down these monsters.

"Are you going to kill yourself?!" Lou roared angrily. "We need to leave! Your mate is not that weak and stupid to be killed by these stupid monsters!"

Lou didn’t understand. These monsters would be so hard to be killed!

Iris gritted her teeth, she had done it before, she would be able to do it again now. How she did it before? It happened very naturally, because of the urgency of the situation, she didn’t even think about it. More so, she had never practiced with this kind of power.

How? How she did it?

Iris tried to recollect her memories, but the black wolf approached her and nudged her body, though there was word, but Iris could understand what Cane meant in his wolf form. He wanted her to climb on top of him.

"Lou, help me!" Iris said. It was a little bit challenging to sit on the wolf’s back when she was pregnant, but she was sure, Cane wouldn’t let her fall.

"What? What are you doing?" Lou was confused, but he immediately understood when he saw the black beast lowered its body. "Damn it! Are you sure this is safe?!"

Cane knew what Iris was trying to do and he wouldn’t let her try it, more so the merchant was useless when it came to persuade her. The last time Iris controlled the monsters and broke the dark magic that controlled them, she fell unconscious.

There was no way, Cane would let the same thing happened again and put her life and their children in danger! This was his priority to keep them safe!

"Are you sure, she will not fall?" Lou was worried if Iris would fall in her condition, more so, the beast was big enough, so the fall would be hurt.

Using the magic stone, Lou created barrier to protect them, while he helped Iris and ran behind the beast once Iris was seated on its back. For now, they had to put Iris in the safe place first and thought about how to survive this monster attack.

===============================

When Zale heard there was monster attack, the first thing that came to his mind once he learned the luna was with the alpha and that tacky merchant, was to come here.

In the hectic situation and how the warriors were busy to fight the monsters, while some of them helped the pack member to seek refuge, they must not realize there was this scaredy cat, who chose to hide under the bed, instead of running out of the room.

"Ezra! Come here!" Zale called him.

He had taken a note how the luna was fond of this white diamond tiger and she tried to make this creature opened up with her. Therefore, she would be sad if something bad happened to him.

More so, he had Lil Thing with him.

"Come here," Zale said, he stretched out his hand. He found Ezra under the bed, his favorite place to hide aside from the bathroom.

Luna Iris had this idea to make both of them friend, thinking Ezra could be close with Zale because he was only a few years younger than him, it could help this white diamond tiger to open up with more people, but every time, this little boy would be scared of him, or he would growl dangerously at him. Didn’t want to be approached.

"There are a lot of monsters out there, do you want to be eaten by monster?" Zale looked impatient, he couldn’t catch the little boy and when he pushed the bed, he moved as well. "Ugh! At least, give me that bear, that bear is mine!"

However, Ezra clutched Lil Thing even tighter, didn’t want to give it to him.

"Come on out!" Zale moved the bed again, but Ezra moved along too. This annoyed him, but he remembered what alpha Cane told him. He didn’t remember the exact word though, but he always emphasized it was important to use a strategy to get what he wanted.

Why he had to remember that annoying alpha at time like this?

Zale frowned, he stared at Ezra for a while before he spoke. "You know that I am close with luna Iris, right? She told me to be friend with you before and now she told me to take you somewhere safe!"

Ezra still didn’t move, but he paid close attention to Zale now when he heard he mentioned about the luna, thus he continued.

"Luna Iris will be there and she must be worried if we don’t go there quickly!" Zale wriggled his fingers. "Come here, hurry!"

Would this work? Zale didn’t know what else he had to do, but thankfully, Ezra moved closer to him and took his hand.

"Luna Iris?" he asked in small voice.

"Yes!" Zale grabbed his hand and pulled him out from under the bed, while he still hugged Lil Thing tightly. "Hold the bear closely, we are going out of here! Stay close with me, understood?!"

Ezra nodded. He followed Zale out of the bedroom and in the distance, they could see three Vermeyes. The two of them stunned for a while, before they rushed toward the direction of the safety place.

=============================

It was fascinating to see Lou managed to catch up with the beast, though he was having a hard time to keep up, but he would right behind the beast. It reminded Iris of Lil Thing, who followed their entourage to the Silver River pack.

However, all of sudden the black beast stopped and turned around, as right in front of them a portal was opened and hundred of goblins rushed out of that blackhole.

Goblins were not deathly creature compared to the other monsters, but they would attack in a group, thus there were at least a dozen of them and right now, there were around fifty goblins came from the portal, the number would only increase.

Meanwhile, behind them, there were two Deadeyes chased after them.

Deadeyes was a blind monster in a shape of a serpent, very venomous and once you were in its grip, it would crack your bones and strangled you to death.

"Damn it!" Lou immediately stood next to the black beast and created a protection around them. This transparent membrane shielded them from the attack of the goblins, who threw their small figure toward them.

Within a second, there were buried under the goblin and the only thing that saved them was this protection.

"Do you have any idea what to do now? This protection will not last for long, especially if those Deadeyes start attacking us!" Lou growled, the goblin above them looked very disgusting.

As if on cue, the ground was shaking, so did the shield when the Deadeyes wrapped the protection tightly, in order to crush them.

"Oh, shit!" Lou cursed under his breath. "You should have given me more magic stone, Cane."

"Help me," Iris said, as she wriggled to get off the beast’s back.

Lou carefully helped her, until she steadied herself and only then Cane shifted into his human form.

"What now?!" Lou asked Cane, relieved that he could communicate with him now. "This protection will only last for twenty minutes if we don’t do anything and I am sure they will not leave us alone. You have twenty minutes to think of a way to get out from this predicament!"

Iris looked around her, above them the goblins tried to break the protection, while Deadeyes wrapped its serpent body around it. There was no other way and Cane must have known about it too.

Iris lifted her hands, but Cane beat her to it.
