Chapter 714: BLACK RAIN AND DARK SKY (56)

Chapter 714: BLACK RAIN AND DARK SKY (56)

The way how the Serafim and the knights were not cooperating in this meeting was not something they had agreed upon.

They had discussed this beforehand with the presence of Iris, but with the condition, they would be transparent with the information they had regarding the Decratic. After all, they were against the same entity and they had to gather all the information they could in order to defeat him.

"Alpha Cane!" Cedric exclaimed when he watched Cane, Iris, Lou and all the people that came with him walked out of the room. "We have not yet done with our discussion!"

Lou turned his body around and faced the annoying knights. "Do you call this a discussion? You only want to gather the information without giving a shit in return!"

Cane said nothing, since Lou had voiced out what he wanted to say in harsher way. He chose him to come along because he had involved himself too deep and there was not a way out for this merchant anymore. More so, he needed his power.

Cane couldn’t rely on Haco and he needed a sorcerer within his people, based on that Lou was the right person to fill the role, as long as he could stay away from his mate, working with him was not bad.

Just like right now, Cane didn’t need to utter a single word when Lou had talked on his behalf everything he wanted to say and more.

"You need to stop cursing!" Cedric glared at Lou.

"And you need to stop thinking you can get everything by waving your status as the Serafim’s knights. If this Decratic is someone that your Serafim needs to destroy, by all means, do it." Lou was still upset because he almost died by the hand of this Decratic. "We have upcoming war here to think about."

Lou glanced when Cane took Iris out of the room and he followed them out, so did the rest of them. This time, they didn’t turn around when Cedric called them back.

However, when they were already away from the meeting room, Lou hastened his steps and blocked Iris and Cane way. He stood in front of the two of them with arms crossed.

"Don’t you think I need some explanation? My poor heart keeps beating so fast with curiosity." Lou was being dramatic again. He glanced at Iris’s stomach and felt annoyed every time he saw how big it got. Why would she need to be pregnant with his child?! "You have dragged me too far, this is not even worthy even if you promised me you will help me expand my business to the holy kingdom. In this rate, they will hate me to the point I can’t even trade anywhere. It’s your fault too for how the black market was destroyed. At the very least, I deserved to know what is going on."

Iris looked at Cane and then Lou back and forth, but the two of them were in stalemate. She didn’t want to voice it out, but Lou was right, they had involved him too deep to put him in dark place and not let him knew about the crucial information.

"I am in, or I am out. I don’t want to be in between." Probably this was the first time Lou looked very serious. His voice was deep and calm, he didn’t look like he forced himself to be part of this craziness, but if he was going to step in, he wanted to know everything.

And Cane finally spoke. "All of you can leave."

Lou was smiling within when he watched all of them left, including the beta and the gamma. He wondered, whether the two of them knew what Cane was going to tell him or not.

"Make it warm," Cane said all of sudden.

"What?" Lou caught something that Cane threw at him, it was a magic stone.

"Make the bench warm." He repeated what he said earlier and nodded at the bench next to him. His intention was clear, he wanted the bench was warm enough for Iris to sit.

"Do you think...!" Lou was about to blow his top, but when he caught Iris’s sight and how round she was, he was pretty concerned she would stumble and roll on the ground with that body. "Ck!"

Lou waved his hand and the snow on the bench and around it melted.

"Oh, this is warm, thank you." Iris looked surprised and happy when she sat comfortably there.

"Here! do you want to see more magic?" Lou became excited to see how Iris was happy with this small thing.

"Don’t overwork yourself," Cane said. "Do you want to hear this or should I write you a letter about it?"

Lou clenched his jaw, but he quickly composed himself and faced the alpha. "Fine. Let’s talk. What is going on here?" he glanced at Iris. "She is not a runt. I want you to start the explanation from her."

Lou had been very interested with Iris’s background, ever since he met her for the first time and now he had a chance to know more about her, especially after she could revive her power, he wouldn’t let this chance slide.

"She knows how to find the magic stone, having the Serafim’s pet and now she has healing ability. What is she?"

=============================

"This is not working, Cedric!" Abby looked angry when Cane and his people walked out of the room. "I have told you to let them know about this!"

Cedric looked in trouble. He didn’t expect Cane would give this strong reaction, he thought there would be a further discussion. "Serafim, we still can’t let out the information that belong to the holy kingdom to an outsider like them."

"We need their help," Liam reminded Cedric about this and the other three knights agreed with him in this matter.

It was their nature not to believe people from outside of their continent, especially shifter, but seeing the situation right now, Liam was right, they needed the alpha’s help in order to find and take down Decratic.

From the look of it, Decratic had planned to create his own army.

They didn’t even reach to the point, where they discussed about Aria, the woman that supposed be dead. The prophecy started happening one by one and more importantly, they had not yet checked on what kind of power Luna Iris actually held. This one thing bothered Abby the most.

She couldn’t accept the fact her power was being absorbed by her when they met for the first time. She was very sure it was divine power, but how could someone like Iris had such power. Divine power only belonged to Serafim.

"The last information about the map, it was in this continent. The place that I thought it might be is the black market."

"Yes, but the black market has been destroyed."

They were still looking for the map, which could lead them to the great shrine, where the five swords were. They needed to go there so the Serafim could purify herself and regain her power.

They were tangled in a heated discussion about how to proceed from here and what kind of information that was allowed or not allowed for Cane to know.

But, there was another people, who currently in a heated argument too.

"Stop being childish like this, Jace. You two will work together, how do you want to kill him every time you have a chance?" Aliana frowned at her brother, while Ethan had disappeared the moment their alpha was not in sight, along with Eron and Dyne.

"He kissed you, Aliana! And you are okay with that?!" Jace was frustrated with her.

"Yes, he kissed me, but you acted like he kissed you instead."

Jace gave his sister a disgusting look for her comment. "He forced himself onto you and you act like it’s nothing."

"I am shocked, but I want to deal with this matter on my own, so you need to back off." Aliana furrowed her brows. "You only make the situation become even more awkward."

Jace opened his mouth and was about to say something, but he held himself back, as he gritted his teeth.

"Fine." Jace stopped walking and this made Aliana stopped too, she turned around and faced her brother. "I hope you know what you are doing, Aliana. I don’t against you it if you want with him, but if you don’t, make it clear with Ethan."

Jace turned around and left. He cared about his sister, but he also cared about Ethan too, he was like a brother for him after all they had gone through, but the sight of that man forced kissing Aliana was really unsettling.

"Oh, sir Cedric?" Aliana didn’t expect to see the knights here when she walked around mindlessly.

"Lady Aliana," Cedric greeted her politely, he just came out from the room after the Serafim dismissed him. "I am sorry about how the discussion turned up. I hope alpha Cane will give a chance for another meeting."

"About that, you need to talk with the alpha, the decision is in his hand."

"I will." Cedric nodded.

"Is that the crest of the Holy Kingdom?" Aliana pointed her finger at the crest on the handle of his sword.

"Hm?" Cedric followed Aliana’s line of sight and nodded. "Not really, this crest is only used for the Serafim’s five holy knights."

Aliana stared at it, she felt the crest was the same shape like the birthmark Lou had on his back... but, a loud noise pulled her from her reverie.

"What is that?"

"Monster attack!"
