The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 534: SATISFACTION

Chapter 534: SATISFACTION

"Where is the Luna?" Eron asked Jace and Ethan who were waiting outside the dungeon. The two of them watched as Kaz left almost an hour ago, but they didn’t see Iris, they thought she was still talking to the other women, who were thrown to the dungeon along with Kaz.

However, when he returned with the sobbing Airi, Jill and the other two omegas, they were confused about Iris’ whereabouts.

"What do you mean?" Ethan and Jace frowned at Eron’s question. "She is supposed to be with you, right?"

"What? No." Eron shook his head. "Luna Iris said she will go out alone and told me to release them." He nodded at the four women, who looked so disheveled while crying silently.

Though they were not treated badly, going back to the dungeon was not something they would have imagined, once they were free from Alpha Gerald’s clutches. It was terrifying and brought back a lot of horrendous memories.

"No, she has not yet come out," Ethan said dumbfoundedly.

There was only one way to go out of the dungeon and knowing that the Beta and the Gamma were standing right at the entrance, Eron didn’t think much when he agreed to let the Luna walk out alone.

"She must be still inside," Jace said.

"Maybe she got lost." Ethan immediately entered the dungeon, as this place could be confusing. There were a few pathways that could lead you to different sections of the cell.

However, their hearts dropped to the ground when they heard a short, shrill scream from inside. It echoed throughout the corridors and then everything became quiet again.

"Shit!" Eron cursed under his breath, as the three of them immediately rushed in to figure out what was going on inside. Their blood became so cold, as their minds came up with the worst possible things that could happen.

Meanwhile, the four women still stood at the entrance of the dungeon, not sure what to do. They needed to thank the Luna because she was the one who had asked the Alpha to release them, Eron had emphasized this to them.

Eron said; if it was not because of the Luna, the Alpha probably would have forgotten about them all and they would still be rotting inside the jail.

"Should we wait?" Airi asked, she stared at the dimly lit dungeon. She didn’t want to stay there any longer, but then they still needed to thank the Luna.

On the other hand, Jace, Ethan and Eros found Iris sitting on the ground, in front of Mason’s cell, staring ahead with a blank expression.

"Iris!" Ethan was the first to reach her. He immediately dropped to his knees to check on her. "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" He came closer because he smelled something suspicious, though it was very faint and he needed to be so close to be able to tell. "You are bleeding!"

"What?!" Eron came to check on Iris as well. "We need to take her to see Grace!"

"I am fine," Iris said in a light tone, as if she was talking about something that she didn’t have interest in. "I am on my monthly cycle."

"Oh." Eron and Jace then went quiet, as they understood what was that. They looked a little bit awkward.

"Are you sure you aren’t hurt anywhere? I heard a scream a while ago." Ethan was still worried. The scream didn’t last that long and now when he thought about that, it didn’t actually sound like Iris. "It was not you who had screamed?"

However, it was Jace, who answered that. "I think it’s him who screamed earlier." The Beta was standing in front of Mason’s cell, blocking Iris’ view of her brother.

"What happened to him?" Ethan stood up and checked on the bastard.

"He is dead," Jace said coldly. With one look, you could see life had left Mason’s body. His eyes opened so wide, as if he was in so much agony and his body twisted into a weird position.

"But... how?" Eron asked, he was about to go in and check Mason’s condition when Jace stopped him.

"Take the Luna out of the dungeon first. This is not a sight she wants to see." Jace took off his cloak and draped it around Iris’ body, as his tall figure still blocked the mortifying view of Mason’s dead body from her sight. "Are you okay?" Jace stared deeply into Iris’ blue eyes that were slightly dim.

"Yes," Iris replied calmly, which made Jace feel something was off with her, but he brushed it off as her being in so much shock upon seeing her brother’s dead body. After all, people had different ways to react to such shocking events. "I am fine."

"Good." Jace nodded. "Now, go back to the pack house with Eron, okay?"

"Okay."

Jace helped Iris to stand up and Eron took her out of the dungeon, leaving the Beta and the Gamma behind to deal with Mason’s lifeless body.

"What do you think is the cause of this?" Ethan asked, once Iris and Eron were no longer there and they couldn’t hear this conversation. "I am sure, he was fine and still pretty alive. I have been so busy, so I have not yet paid him a visit." Well, the Gamma used to vent out his frustrations on Mason, but because recently he had been spending his free time near the river, Mason should be alive without his presence.

"I don’t know. I will investigate this," Jace said. "Report this to the Alpha. I will ask the guards about this."

"Right away," Ethan said and then he left as well.

They didn’t need more trouble. Actually, it was pretty fine for Mason to die, but the way he died all of a sudden needed to be clarified. They wouldn’t want this piece of shit to cause them trouble even after he died, in whatever form.

"It’s weird..." Jace muttered to himself, as he opened the cell and checked on Mason’s dead body.

On the other hand, Eron took Iris out of the dungeon, while the Luna was very quiet. She looked like she was thinking about something else and he was afraid to disturb whatever things that were running in her mind right now.

"Luna Iris!" Jill was the first to approach Iris. She immediately broke down in tears, apologizing for her behavior and the way she treated her, followed by Airi and the other two omegas.

They looked remorseful and thanked her for saving them from the dungeon. How much it meant for them and how they really appreciated what she had done for them.

However, after watching a long session of crying and expressing gratitude and also a bunch of apologies from the four of them, Iris only replied with a single word and then left.

"Okay."

Iris walked away from them, as if she didn’t even care about what they had said. Probably that was right.

If it was before, she would have been thrilled upon hearing such words full of remorse and how grateful they were for what she had done for them, but not anymore. Her mind reeled to the event that happened not so long ago. She was still trying to discern what actually had happened.

"Luna, where are you going?" Eron followed Iris closely and the other six warriors joined him along the way. "Your bedroom is over here."

"No. I want to go to the orphanage," Iris said calmly.

"But..." Eron held his tongue, because there was something about the Luna right now that made him stop himself from arguing before he simply followed her.

Iris needed to go to the orphanage and meet with Haco. She needed to ask him about this matter.

She saw it, she saw Mason’s wolf, she saw the wolf was so vicious and badly injured, just like their human’s side. She could feel it in her anger upon hearing what Mason said about her and Cane.

How he suggested to have Kellan touch her and impregnate her, so she and Cane could pass the baby as the future Alpha of the Howling Wolf pack.

Of course, Mason wouldn’t say something as simple as that, he threw a few more nasty remarks and laughed at his own lewd jokes.

’How was it, Iris? Did you like it when you played with him?’ Mason asked, his eyes that had been long dead lit up with amusement. He looked crazy, but of course, he knew what he was talking about. ’Did you like it when he played with you? I saw it, Iris. I saw how you cried like a baby when he touched you. You shouldn’t have cried, didn’t you like it when he played with you?’

Mason knew and he saw what Kellan had done to her. He watched everything, as if it was just an act of entertainment for him.

’Unfortunately, I don’t have the same taste as him. I prefer to beat you up than touch you. You should be grateful for that.’

’No one will believe you if you say anything about that, though. Kellan has such an impeccable image. No one will believe you.’

That was when Iris saw red and... killed him.

The first time, she squeezed Alpha Gill’s Wolf spirit, but it didn’t kill the nasty alpha immediately and the second time was when it happened with Cane and she was grateful, he was fine in the end, thus this must be the first time her attempt had succeeded.

Now she learned a bit more about Na’s power, and she got a better understanding of it.

Iris was not sure how she felt right now, but there was this tiny satisfaction deep inside her and the five swords cracked even more...
