The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter
Chapter 310: THE DAM HAD BEEN BROKEN

Chapter 310: THE DAM HAD BEEN BROKEN

Kellan asked little Iris to kneel, as neither of them wore a single piece of clothing. He was smiling so warmly at her, as if there was nothing wrong with their situation. He playfully teased her because she looked so afraid, trying to calm her down and emphasize it was just a game.

’This is a new game. You will like it. Relax, okay? Or else, I will not play with you anymore, because it’s not fun.’

Kellan made her kneel in front of him, as he leaned closer to her and spoke in a hushed voice.

’Touch me here... it’s okay. I know you are full of curiosity. You want to know, right? Right?’

Iris couldn’t hear the way she screamed her heart out, while hitting her head so hard with her fists, as if by doing so, she could get rid of the image out of her head. She screamed until her throat became sore and wouldn’t stop even then, she even became more and more frantic when she felt someone touch her.

"Iris!" Cane called her name, asking her to open her eyes, but she didn’t respond well to his touch.

The Alpha rushed into the room once he heard her earth- shattering scream and found his mate trying to hurt herself, she kept hitting her head and clawing at her lips, making them bleed.

"Stop it, Iris!" Cane was struggling to make her stop, but at the same time, he needed to make sure he was not hurting her.

On the other hand, Ethan was dumbstruck to see how Iris was right now. He had never seen her so out of control like this until then and how she tried to get away from Cane, as she kept crying and screaming.

"Wh- what happened?" Ethan stammered, he felt like Iris was going crazy. How could such a delicate and timid woman like her flip out and look so violent?

She almost looked like she was possessed. Her auburn hair looked so messy, as if it was in flames, while her face was so red.

Now, Ethan really wanted to know what had happened. He was not really clear about what was actually happening between Cane and Iris and what caused the Alpha’s sudden enmity toward the Prince. The Gamma could tell everything was connected, but how?

"Wh- what can I do? Should I call a healer?"

"Get out!" Cane roared at his gamma, because he didn’t want him to see Iris in such a vulnerable state.

More so, there was nothing the Gamma could do, even a healer’s power was so limited against Iris, because of her unique constitution.

"Okay, okay." Ethan immediately scrambled out of the room, leaving Cane alone to deal with Iris. Since the Alpha told him to leave, he must know what to do with her.

On the other hand, Iris still continued to try hitting her head, to get rid of the horrendous images that kept flooding her mind. She wanted to forget everything.

If it was so terrifying in the past when she still was not aware of what he was doing then, even more so now. The images were so vivid, as if she was forced to watch her younger self being taken advantage of.

Iris still remembered what Kellan said when he made her touch himself and the expression on his face, how he smiled at her and complimented her how beautiful she was. How she did a great job, while guiding her little hand to the place he wanted her to touch him.

’That’s right... like that... you are a good girl, Iris. My little Iris... hm, you are really clever. You are a good little girl, right Iris?’

Iris wanted to rip her head off, she wanted this disgusting feeling to end. She really wanted this to end.

"Iris! Open your eyes!" Cane knew his words wouldn’t reach her and he could see how he accidentally hurt her because he tried to stop his mate from hitting herself.

Cane literally pinned her down on the bed, because she tried to kick him, so he could get away from her, while he pressed down both of her hands above her head, so she could stop hitting herself. Bruises marred her wrists, as Cane had to use a little bit of strength.

Without being able to use her hands, Iris opened her mouth, seemingly wanting to bite down her tongue instead.

Cane recognized the gesture, since he had witnessed it a handful of times when his people couldn’t take the torture from Gerald any longer and they decided to make their own escape.

Without a second thought, Cane put a hand between her teeth, so she would bite down on his hand instead and blood spurted out of the wound. She was really determined to harm herself. One could only imagine the damage if it was her tongue, instead of Cane’s hand, that got bitten.

The blood oozed out from the wound, yet Cane didn’t pull his hand away. He let her bite him down as long as she needed. There was no anger in his dark eyes, while his expression was as stoic as ever.

He promised her not to hurt her, that included protecting her from hurting herself.

Slowly, Iris opened her eyes, her gaze was still obscure and she gradually stopped struggling, feeling the blood in her mouth.

"It’s okay," Cane said, knowing she was looking at him now. "You are safe."

Iris sobbed, her whole body was trembling, but then she coughed, because the blood from Cane’s injured hand clogged her throat. He immediately pulled his hand away and moved aside, so Iris could roll her body and spit the blood, as she coughed so hard.

Cane patted her back lightly. The bed was a mess with blood all over the white sheets. Iris breathed raggedly.

She coughed and vomited continously, this time, she didn’t have time to care that Cane was there, right beside her. She was too numb to her surroundings, but ironically, she was loathing herself to the point where she just wanted this feeling to end.

"Arggh!" Once again, she screamed so hard, as if by doing so she could escape from her misery.

However, it was in vain, the dam had been broken and the memories wouldn’t stop flooding her mind. She couldn’t seal them back like she did in the past, nor could she pretend none of that had ever happened.

Iris screamed and vomited on the bed, while Cane watched over her from the side, letting her vent out whatever she felt right now. As long as she didn’t try to hurt herself, he would stay away from her. He gave her space, because he knew she didn’t want to be touched right now.

The wound on Cane’s hand had healed by the time Iris finally collapsed on the bed, curling herself into a ball, crying so hard her whole body started trembling. Her hair was a mess and her body was dirty because of the blood and the vomit, but she couldn’t care less about that anymore.

She didn’t care what Cane would think seeing her right now. It would be good if he just ended her right there and then.

But instead, Cane went to the bathroom and filled the tub with water before he returned to the bedroom and carefully carried her in his arms.
