Yang Lihuo nodded and waited quietly outside the imperial study. A few minutes later, the sharp voice of the chief eunuch resounded all around.

With a calm expression, Yang Lihou walked past the entrance. He saw the young Emperor Ming sitting behind the long table and knelt down.

"You may rise." Zhao Jue didn’t lift his eyes from the report when he spoke.

After a short silence, Zhao Jue closed the report and put it on the top of a tall stack on his right side, then put down his writing brush. He looked at Yang Lihuo and asked, "Do you have anything to report to Zhen?"

Holding the jade plate with both hands, Yang Lihuo said with his eyes lowered.

"Reporting to the Emperor. The tax has been collected and sent to the Ministry of War. The Ministry of War is already preparing the military rations right now. When General Yao leaves for the northern border tomorrow, everything will be ready."

Zhao Jue nodded and said, "You did a good job."

After waiting for a long time, but still did not get Zhao Jue’s answer, Yang Lihuo’s heart sank. After a long and suffocating silence, Zhao Jue’s cold and indifferent voice resounded in the spacious imperial study.
