What Rain was doing was very dangerous, but she had already balanced everything out before making the case so open. She was confident, so all he needed to do was support her. Days passed, and she became increasingly busy while he focused on his own investigation into Michael.

At the end of the day, he and Rain would always end up brainstorming... just like now. Alexander released a long, heavy sigh as he stared at his wife, who was reading Brandon’s report. Her face was contorted, clearly showing she wasn’t happy with the results.

"All are cleared? Are you sure about that?" Rain asked in disbelief. He and Brandon had tested everyone involved in the operations pertaining to Michael Astor and the Obsidian Order, but they were all cleared.

"So who the hell is feeding information to Michael?!" she burst out in frustration.

He chuckled and playfully poked a finger between her eyebrows. "You’ve been stressing over this case for more than a week now. And here I thought the two of us would finally be able to spend more time together now that William is back. I’ve tasked him with Dad’s condition and finding that Miracle Doctor instead."

She gave him a teasing smile and said, "Aren’t you too clingy, getting involved in my case just so you can get closer to me, huh? Don’t forget, you’re a businessman, my dear husband, not an investigator!"

Alexander shrugged. "I can’t help it. I want to ensure your safety. You basically became a target the moment you publicized this case."

"I’m sorry for making you worry. I just can’t let go of this case since it involves Michael, and I want to bring that man down," she said with a sigh. She put down the tablet and moved closer to her husband, practically hugging him as she started kissing his neck.

"I know, and that’s why I want to be there with you every step of the way. I’m the boss of the company, so I basically own my time, Rain. I just give instructions to my people," he reiterated, ensuring she couldn’t argue further.

She straddled him and playfully licked his lips. Alexander was always so considerate; he never interrupted her at night when she was deeply immersed in analyzing and studying cases. Tonight, she decided she should give him more credit, and more of her time, to please her adorable husband.

She could already feel his hard bulge pressing against her groin as she kissed his lips with soft pecks. Slightly brushing herself against him, she made him groan.
