Supremely Talented Tyrant
Chapter 940 - 939: Unreasonable!

Seeing that Ye Linglan had finally been coaxed out of her anger, Hao Jian let out a sigh of relief, planted a big kiss on her forehead, laughed heartily, and said, "Let's go! Chunliang should be waiting for us at the mall!"

"Chunliang? You invited my brother too?"

Ye Linglan was a bit surprised upon hearing this. She gave Hao Jian a strange look and said, "You won't settle for just the two of us, and you want to drag my brother along too?"

"Uh… no..."

When Hao Jian came here, he was worried that Ye Linglan might lose her temper excessively, so he decided to ask Ye Chunliang to come along and help smooth things over so he could get through this situation safely.

However, he hadn't expected that just a few of his words had calmed Ye Linglan down, which surprised him greatly. He thought about calling Ye Chunliang to tell him not to come, but then reconsidered. It wasn't like he was lacking opportunities for dates, so Hao Jian decided not to care too much and said casually.

"Anyway, it's your brother, not someone else. It's fine; your brother is like my brother—what's the difference?" Hao Jian said with a grin as he drove, "We've got plenty of time to hang out alone in the future. This time, let's take your brother along for a good time, just the three of us!"

"Mm!"

Listening to Hao Jian's explanation, Ye Linglan obediently nodded and tried to lean on his shoulder. But since he was driving, she just smiled sweetly and chatted jovially with him.

Perhaps they hadn't seen each other in too long or hadn't talked in ages. Once they started chatting, they couldn't stop. By the time their banter wound down, the school gate was already in sight.

"Damn it! Just watch, I'm going to beat you to death!"......

As the two were enjoying their tender moment, a furious, menacing voice abruptly yanked them back to reality. Hao Jian's expression darkened with a flicker of irritation as their good mood was rudely shattered. Unhappy, he pulled the car to the side of the road and said to Ye Linglan, "Let's go see what's happening. I'm curious who dares to ruin my mood!"

"Hehe, okay!"

Finding Hao Jian adorably childish when he was upset, Ye Linglan nodded without objection. She reached for the door handle and opened it, stepping out of the car alongside him.

"Let's go!"

After getting out, Hao Jian took Ye Linglan's hand and led her toward the crowd ahead. Using some clever force, he subtly maneuvered a few people blocking his way. They only noticed a blur before realizing two new figures had appeared in front of them, leaving them baffled and bewildered.

Hao Jian and Ye Linglan reached the crowd and saw the scene unfold before them...

Before them was a group of people: a policeman in uniform, a sharp-suited man, and a young man dressed like a student. Surrounding them were several school security guards, whose cautious expressions showed their apprehension. After all, the man beating someone up was a police officer!

"Sigh, Teacher Zhou really got bullied badly this time..."

"Who wouldn't say so? That beast Jiang Hualiang tried to harass a female student but was caught and reprimanded by Teacher Zhou. Nursing a grudge, he called his father, who's a cop, to retaliate against the teacher. This father-son pair is truly a scourge!"

"That policeman dares to cause trouble at the school gate because he must have some backing. Haven't you noticed our school leaders haven't shown up yet? Clearly, they're scared!"

Listening to the murmurs around him, Hao Jian gradually pieced together the situation. Jiang Hualiang had tried to harass a girl from their academy on a secluded path yesterday and was caught and sternly admonished by Teacher Zhou. Jiang then fled in disgrace.

The incident quickly spread, and by the afternoon, the entire school knew Jiang Hualiang's true character. His classmates began avoiding him like the plague.

Unexpectedly, the following day after school, Jiang Hualiang brought his father Jiang Bin, straight from work, to the school gate to ambush Teacher Zhou Ning.

"Damn it, how dare you mistreat my son? Think being a teacher makes you so great?! My son is so precious I wouldn't dream of scolding him—who are you to meddle?!"

Jiang Bin's face twisted with rage as he mercilessly kicked and punched Zhou Ning on the ground, feeling a cruel satisfaction. His resentment toward teachers began in his own schooling years, when he'd been expelled from elementary school for fighting.

Since then, Jiang Bin had become hostile toward educators, often gathering thugs to attack teachers he saw outside. Over several days, he was eventually arrested by police staking out the streets.

After some ideological correction, the authorities released him since he was a minor.

Later, he joined the army, trained for a few years, and eventually stumbled into a police academy. Although he cleaned up his act somewhat in the academy, he still refused to apply himself.

After graduation, he worked at Hua City's police department as a local officer, earning a modest salary supplemented by extorting money from small-time gangsters. Life was passable for him.

But this afternoon, right in the middle of playing poker, he received a call from his son claiming he was bullied by a teacher. Enraged, Jiang Bin stormed to the school without even changing out of his uniform.

"Pah! A teacher? Just look at you—a disgrace! You're actually proud to be a teacher? Don't make me laugh!"

Spitting on the ground, Jiang Bin jeered while stepping on Zhou Yu with smug superiority.

"You… You're unreasonable!"

Zhou Yu's once-tidy suit was now smeared with dust, footprints, and fist marks. His previously neat face appeared disheveled and worn-out.

"Ha! If you can't talk your way out, just shut up!"

Jiang Hualiang stepped forward grinning maliciously at Zhou Yu, sneering, "Yesterday, if you'd passed by and pretended not to see anything, this wouldn't have happened! But you just had to ruin my plans!"

"You even destroyed my reputation in school overnight!"

The father-son duo continued to mistreat Zhou Yu. Poor Zhou Yu, a defenseless man, had no way to stand up to Jiang Bin, who had trained in the military.

Though Jiang Bin's physical condition had deteriorated somewhat since joining the police force, Zhou Yu still couldn't hope to match his strength.

"Hao Jian, deal with this, please..."

Ye Linglan couldn't bear to see her teacher being bullied, so she turned to Hao Jian and quietly pleaded.

"Since you're asking me, how could I refuse?" Hao Jian grinned. He'd already planned to intervene but hearing Ye Linglan's request made him laugh. He gently squeezed her hand and said, "Wait here; I'll handle this quickly!"

"How dare you ruin my mood! Watch me beat the crap out of you!"

Jiang Hualiang prepared to throw his feeble punch at Zhou Yu's head, his face twisted with malice—disgusting to the onlookers, though they didn't dare intervene.

If they stepped in, they risked being charged for assaulting a police officer, a serious crime in Huaxia with potential sentences including life imprisonment or even execution!

As such, the crowd could only watch helplessly, unwilling to get involved.

Seeing no resistance emboldened Jiang Hualiang, making his strikes even more reckless. He knew that with his father present, no one would dare to stop him!

"Bang!"

As the punch neared Zhou Yu's head, he reluctantly closed his eyes, bracing for impact. But instead of pain, all he heard was a dull thud, followed by a gust of wind...

"Kid! Who the hell are you?!"

Jiang Bin's furious roar suddenly erupted. Zhou Yu hesitantly opened his eyes and saw a young man standing before him. In front of the man, Jiang Bin glared at Hao Jian with rage, while Jiang Hualiang struggled to get up from the ground…

Witnessing the scene, Zhou Yu froze for a moment before urgency overcame him. He anxiously warned Hao Jian, "Young man, leave while you can! Don't let me drag you down. These two, while despicable, have connections—you'll suffer if you stay!"

"Haha, Teacher Zhou, even if I wanted to leave now, I can't!" Hao Jian chuckled, pointing toward Ye Linglan. "If I walk away now, wouldn't my girl yell at me afterward?"

"Sigh… Enduring a scolding is better than suffering physical pain!"

When Zhou Yu glanced toward where Hao Jian gestured, he saw a graceful woman standing elegantly. Admiration briefly flickered in Zhou Yu's eyes before fading away. After all, he was old enough to be indifferent to such things.

"Haha! Don't worry, Teacher Zhou, I'll be fine!"
