Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System! -
Chapter 281 - 281: Hey hey, don't look at me like that
"Kingdom?" Arabel said in her mind, hearing the name Idan had come up with for their yet-to-be-formed Guild.
"How's it?" he asked her.
"Not bad. I like it," Arabel replied, expressing her opinion.
Then she thought about what Idan had just said. To become king and queen, and, of course, her unstable imagination played out.
After a short pause caused by Idan's unexpected statement, the representative of the Association addressed him.:
"Do you know what it takes to create and register your Guild, Mr. Ethan?"
"More or less, — Idan replied. In fact, Idan and Arabel had no idea how to do this. They decided to postpone this issue until later, after their trip to the north.
Then he looked at everyone present, took his chin in his hand, and, as if deep in thought, said:
"I've changed my mind, I won't announce the name of my Guild until it's registered, in case someone steals and registers it before me."
"Heh, as if anyone here cares about your guild," remarked one of the awakened from the Red Sails guild. And most of those present nodded in agreement with his words.
"I don't care about your opinion either," Idan retorted. Then he turned his gaze to the representative of the Association and suggested: "Let's get down to business. I don't have a whole day to entertain you all."
"Mr. Ethan, do you know why you're here?" the Association representative asked.
"Really, why am I here?" — Idan asked a counter question.
"Stop playing, Mr. Ethan. You are here because one of the members of the Untouchables guild, with whom, according to the military report, you had a conflict, has disappeared. And you are currently the main suspect." The Association representative sounded annoyed by Idan's behavior.
"Is that so? Well, that's what you would have said right away, instead of playing a guessing game," said Idan. "So please explain why you consider me the main suspect?"
"The thing is..." The representative of the Association began to read out the military report, in which Idan personally testified. Idan found it too funny.
"Is that all?" asked Idan when the representative of the Association finished reading. "It's too funny, by God. Do you think I'm stupid? Or do you just want to pin this case on me without any direct evidence, based only on the fact that I had a conflict with this dude because you consider me an easy target?"
The representative of the Association could not find the right words and, turning around, turned his gaze to the leader of the Untouchables Guild, Milena Orleans.
Milena narrowed her eyes and studied Idan carefully again. Yes, the guy was good-looking, but not as attractive as Arslan. However, his behavior caused her some concern. Her intuition told her that he was responsible for the disappearance of one of her Guild members. But, as Idan had said, neither she nor anyone else had any direct evidence.
Nevertheless, everyone was relying on their Systems. Especially the Guild leaders, who, unlike the rest, definitely possessed Rare Systems and were more sensitive. They could to some extent determine the state of another Host's Karma if it had fallen as a result of the recent murder of another Host.
However, neither her System nor the others' Systems could detect anything unusual in the behavior of the guy who was sitting in front of them. The strangest thing was that they couldn't sense the power coming from him and his other two subordinates behind him at all. Their Systems immediately alerted them to this oddity.
"Mr. Ethan," Milena addressed Idan in her clear voice. "Tell me honestly, do you have anything to do with Kraus's disappearance?"
As soon as Milena started talking to Idan, he immediately noticed the strangeness in her voice. And when she asked her question, Idan felt an urgent urge to give her an answer and confess what he had done. However, this urge only lasted for a moment and immediately disappeared.
[Ding! Passive suggestion ability has been discovered. The effect of suggestion is neutralized.]
After hearing the notification from the System, Idan realized what had just happened.
"That Long—legged woman used suggestion on me to find out the truth!" he thought indignantly.
"Of course not, Miss Longlegs," Idan replied with a smile. And immediately after those words, he felt a lot of hostile stares directed at him.
"Hey, hey, hey. Are you going there too?" —Idan mentally exclaimed, looking at his future brother-in-law, who looked at him with hostility because of these words addressed to Milena.
Milena frowned at Idan's reply. She didn't like the way this guy addressed her either. No one had ever dared to call her that before, and she stared at Idan intently.
"Hey hey, don't look at me like that. I feel awkward," Idan said, pretending to be embarrassed. He did not notice how the hostility of others increased with every word he said.
Then Idan felt someone kick his chair from behind, but he only smiled in response.
"You're definitely a beauty, and I'm sure you're proud of it, Miss Longlegs," Idan praised Milena's looks. "But unfortunately for me, your beauty doesn't reach the standards that I set for myself after visiting another world. According to these criteria, you don't even get into the average level... but wait… I can make an exception and include you at the very bottom of the middle level just because of your beautiful long legs. You can be proud of that."
Idan wasn't lying when he said that. Compared to the Valkyries, his Master Miliсa, and even Eulalia, Milena's beauty paled. If it wasn't for her long legs, her level of attractiveness would have been even lower.
Arabel, who was initially outraged by Idan's words after hearing about the criteria, nodded inwardly, agreeing with him. She also remembered the beauties she knew from Limbo.
"Why do I feel so weird? Instead of worrying that I've turned so many people against myself with my words, I feel satisfied and excited," Idan exclaimed mentally, trying to figure out what was happening to him.
Idan looked around carefully, noticing the hostile stares of those around him. It seemed strange to him. Why did his words addressed to this woman hurt so many people so much? And not only men, but women too.
"Did she really use her strange power of suggestion and win over all these people to her side, including my future brother—in-law Arslan?" Idan asked himself, finding this situation too unusual.
Suddenly, before anyone could do anything or speak, the bell rang. It was followed by another, and then another. One by one, the smartphones of the Guild leaders, the military, and the representatives of the Association rang, distracting everyone's attention from Idan.
Everyone whose phone rang answered the call. After a few seconds, surprise was reflected on their faces, which was soon replaced by seriousness.
"What?" Arslan exclaimed, barely able to contain his emotions after hearing what the caller had told him. "How is it possible for the entire group of the Queens Guild to disappear?"
