Annan hadn’t expected it.

That he would meet the requirements for three advanced job classes just as he had broken through to the Gold rank.

Although he had not yet advanced in the Victorious Knight job, it was fortunate that the Victorious Knight was already considered half a Gold rank job, so this did not matter much.

But for a Frostspeaker to be able to advance at this point... and to choose from three completely different paths that had nothing to do with the Disabling School was something Annan had not anticipated at all.

If we consider a more extreme profession – for instance, Salvatore.

Out of Annan’s 22 spell slots, he had only configured eight spells... leaving him with a full fourteen spell slots empty.

After all, in this world, spell slots couldn’t be "re-specced."

Unless it was a spell he urgently needed, or one that he obtained directly, he hardly added any spells.

He had originally planned to consult Isaac’s opinion and add some spells after the nightmare ended. However, the requirements for these Gold-tier professions startled him.

Did all these professions actually need empty spell slots?

...No wonder so many hereditary professions required a special "recipe."

However, when it comes to choosing a profession... there’s no question about it.

– Annan could never become a Soul Snatching Wizard who manipulated the minds of others, nor could he inherit the Tower of Black Radiance. It was the same regardless of the power level of these professions.

It’s the same reason he was unwilling to become a spirit-bearing monk.
