Chapter 757: Great Yecheng City

Chapter 757: Chapter 757: Great Yecheng City

No wonder it was a spirit horse; even when Peter Brown hadn’t attended to it for more than a day, it still waited here.

Although it was on the official road, Peter noticed when investigating the area that there was no curiosity about a carriage being here.

Sitting in the carriage, Peter steered it forward.

Along the way, Peter found several other carriages and transportation tools parked in various places.

Seeing those, Peter felt more at ease; it seemed that spirit beast cars were a common means of transportation in the Cultivation World, just like cars on Earth.

At first, Peter was worried that someone would discover his situation, but now he was truly relieved.

There was still a long way from the teleportation site to Great Yecheng City, and at this moment Peter was in awe of the formation that managed to envelop such a vast region. Only powerful beings could create such a formation.

Of course, with the existence of this formation, everyone was unable to use their True Qi, which provided Peter with many opportunities. He knew he should fare better here than anywhere else.

Eventually, the carriage entered Great Yecheng City.

Upon seeing the city, Peter was quite astonished. The city was so massive that it exceeded his expectations, and a vast amount of visible spiritual energy surrounded it. Although there were no walls, the powerful formation around it made it clear that conquering the city would not be easy.

When the carriage reached what seemed to be the entrance, Peter looked closely at the glowing path before him. He could even feel how powerful it would be if the path attacked him.

Everything was already different from the Mortal Realm!

Peter could see that the defensive strength of Great Yecheng City was far superior to that of County Town.

Without much thought, Peter followed Amber Grant’s instructions for entering the city and placed his identity card on a platform.

As he placed the identity card, Peter noticed the light flashed on it, and then the path opened.

After collecting his identity card, Peter steered the carriage into the city.

"You can leave the carriage here. You should go in by yourself."

After Peter entered, a voice came to him.

When Peter looked over, he saw a middle-aged man sitting there talking to him.

"How do I enter the city?" Peter knew that there was still a long way to the Alchemy Hospital and flying would only expose his abilities, so he had to ask for the proper way to enter.

"Are you Doctor Peter Brown?"

A young man smiled and asked Peter.

Doctor Peter Brown?

Peter was somewhat unaccustomed to such a title, but he knew that the other party was probably looking for him.

"I am Peter Brown," Peter replied with a fist salute.

"Ah, you are indeed Doctor Peter Brown. After receiving the news of your arrival, the Alchemy Hospital sent me to pick you up. My name is Karry Armstrong, and I am an apprentice of the Alchemy Hospital."

Apprentice of Alchemy Hospital?

Peter was unsure of the division method within the Alchemy Hospital. He looked at Karry Armstrong and smiled: "I was worried about not finding the Alchemy Hospital. It’s great that you are here to pick me up."

"Doctor Peter Brown, you can just hand over your carriage to them; our Spiritual Tiger Cars are much better. Please come with me."

After handing over the carriage, Peter followed Karry.

Indeed, he saw various spirit beasts and vehicles parked outside, resembling a zoo of sorts.

Cultivators were truly extraordinary, being able to tame so many ferocious spirit beasts!

After looking around, Peter stepped into the Spiritual Tiger Car driven by Karry.

Once inside, Peter could further appreciate the luxury of the Spiritual Tiger Car – the interior decoration was far more luxurious than the most opulent cars on Earth. There was plenty of space, with Lingcao and Spiritual Flowers blooming, and a Spiritual Gathering Array even gathered spiritual energy inside the vehicle.

What great enjoyment!

Seeing Peter’s expression, Karry smiled: "This is just an ordinary car. When the time comes, Doctor Peter Brown, you can buy your own. Inside the car, there will be puppet beauties to serve you; of course, if you have money, you can get real beauties as well. Some cars even use spatial techniques to refine things like Spiritual Springs, so you can enjoy them safely."

Peter smiled: "I know nothing about the structure of the Alchemy Hospital. Can you tell me more?"

Karry explained: "The Alchemy Hospital is a core department in the Shire, and a large one at that. Currently, our Shire has nine Special-grade Pill Doctors in the Nascent Soul Stage, who are the nine elders of the Alchemy Hospital. The entire Alchemy Hospital is built around them and divided into nine departments. Although these nine departments manage the same content, they’re divided by area and do not interfere with each other."

Nine elders?

Peter nodded slightly.

Karry continued: "Below the Special-grade Pill Doctors are Tier 3 Alchemists – upper, middle, and lower grades. There are specific standards to evaluate Alchemists: you belong to the grade that can refine elixirs of your level. There are five Upper-grade Alchemists, twelve Middle-grade Alchemists, twenty-one Lower-grade Alchemists, three hundred and twenty alchemist assistants, and six hundred and seventy apprentices."

After hearing the situation, Peter nodded. It seemed that there weren’t many alchemists, and as far as Peter knew, many alchemists were transferred from the counties. So, it appeared that alchemists were in high demand within the Shire.

"Do you know what level of alchemist someone like me would be?" Peter asked curiously.

Karry quickly answered: "Those who arrive are generally considered lower-grade Alchemists; however, there is an assessment palace where you can be tested. Whichever level you reach during the test, you will become an alchemist of that level."

Peter nodded, thinking that was fair enough.

"Is it usually busy?" Peter thought of the overcrowded hospitals on Earth at this time.

Karry shook his head: "Actually, alchemists are not too busy. As long as they complete their alchemy and refining tasks, they have a lot of free time and don’t even have to go to the Alchemy Hospital. Most of the work falls on the alchemist assistants and apprentices."

So that was the case. Peter found this job to be quite suitable for him, especially since it would make it easier for him to travel to Earth.
