Chapter 704: Chapter 704: Real Estate
After changing his appearance, Peter Brown appeared in Middle City, a provincial capital with a large flow of people. In such an environment, and dressed in ordinary clothes, Peter Brown’s identity would not attract attention.
This time, Peter had created a new identity for himself using computer technology as an orphan from an orphanage that had already closed down. The person he had adopted the identity from was already deceased.
Now, Peter’s name was Barrett Walter, a name as ordinary as it could be.
Peter Brown did not rely on Robert Williams and others to establish his own identity. Instead, he used computer technology to infiltrate the network and created an identity for himself, which he had done playfully while learning hacker skills during his free time. Now, it served to hide his true identity well.
The recent events had somewhat disappointed Peter Brown, and he didn’t want to deal too much with people in officialdom. He only hoped to help the Earth at critical moments, but he would definitely not intervene otherwise.
Peter had also thought it through that the development of human species would not revolve around the will of one person. He couldn’t act as a nanny protecting the Earth all the time. Now that the Earth had biochemical technology, and he had provided cultivation inheritance, it was up to them to develop on their own.
Deep down, Peter Brown also understood that no matter how much he did, time would eventually make everything fade away. Humans are forgetful by nature, and time would eventually erase him from their memory. Therefore, for him, strengthening his own power was more important than anything else.
Peter Brown had never been more eager for immortality than he was now. He now had a clear goal - to live for himself and to live for the pursuit of immortality.
Now, Peter didn’t want to pretend anymore. As a rich person, he decided to stay here just to observe the situation on Earth and save it when necessary.
So, Peter didn’t go to work or do anything else. Instead, he headed towards a high-end residential area.
He planned to buy a house first and then live there, that was Peter’s current intention.
On a hot day, Peter Brown strolled along the bustling streets and soon arrived at a lakeside villa community in Middle City after asking around.
He looked around and happened to see a property sales office with newly opened villas. Peter showed a smile and walked in.
Not many people were there today, as these detached villas were priced at tens of millions, and very few could afford them.
As Peter entered, he saw well-dressed people inquiring about the details of each building.
Although there were many saleswomen present, Peter noticed that none of them approached him with any introduction or guide, so he looked at those beautiful saleswomen.
Upon looking, Peter realized that these saleswomen were not unapproachable; instead, they chose their customers based on appearance. They eagerly approached well-dressed individuals, but they ignored those who dressed ordinarily, like Peter.
Seeing this, Peter shook his head.
Nevertheless, Peter Brown had come to buy a house, and he did not care about the attitude of these saleswomen. He began to seriously look around.
With Peter’s knowledge of feng shui, he paid attention to the feng shui pattern of the houses while looking. As he examined the houses, he visualized their orientation in his mind.
"Excuse me."
While Peter stood in front of the most expensive villa model, a woman’s voice came from behind.
As Peter turned his head, he saw a charming saleswoman speaking to him. Next to her stood a middle-aged man with a big belly, a stern face, a suit and tie, and a gorgeous young woman on his arm.
Upon seeing them, Peter couldn’t help but feel that the two were not a compatible couple.
Of course, Peter Brown didn’t think too much about this and just wondered why the saleswoman would ask him to make way.
Seeing Peter’s gaze, the enchanting woman had a mocking expression in her eyes, but she hid it quickly and said formally to Peter: "Sir, please step aside, I need to introduce the villa to the customers."
Peter looked at the girl and decided not to make things difficult for her. He stepped aside and made some space.
Actually, Peter Brown had only blocked the frontal view of the villa model, and the girl could have introduced the villa from the side. He didn’t expect her to ask him to move just to please the couple.
Peter Brown didn’t want to cause any trouble now, as he knew his own situation, and he was afraid that if he messed up, he might be targeted by others again.
Unexpectedly, the girl who was with the middle-aged man snorted and said, "The villas you’re selling here are worth tens of millions, right? Why do you let just anyone in?"
Hearing this, the saleswoman looked at Peter Brown and asked, "Are you here to buy a house?"
This question was a bit impolite.
"Just looking."
Peter said as he continued to look around. He really didn’t want to bother with these people.
"You must be a laborer, right? Haha, if you want to look, go somewhere else. This is not a place for people like you," the middle-aged man laughed, trying to show that he was successful.
When Peter glanced at the man, he couldn’t help but laugh. He could tell from his face that he had financial problems. His nose was grayish-black, which indicated financial issues. Closely examining him, Peter noticed his nose was withered, indicating that he had financial problems with cash flow.
Seeing this, Peter smiled at the girl who clearly wanted to latch onto this wealthy man. The girl already had an aura of losing wealth, which obviously meant the middle-aged man wanted to get money from her.
As Peter was observing, a beautiful saleswoman named Charlotte walked up to them.
"Charlotte, why aren’t you attending to the customers? What are you doing here?" The flirtatious woman who was in charge of entertaining the two earlier asked the girl walking over.
"Sister Tara, I see that this gentleman is also interested in buying a house. I’ll attend to him," Charlotte said as she walked over to Peter and asked, "Sir, what type of house are you interested in? I can introduce you to some."
Peter looked at the girl and shook his head, saying, "I’m just looking."
"It’s okay, you can still take a look, and I can explain any information you’d like."
Charlotte was really a nice girl. Even though she knew Peter didn’t intend to buy a house, she still took the time to introduce him to the various villas.
After listening for a while, Peter asked, "Can I go see the house in person?"
Hearing Peter’s question, the flirtatious woman’s face showed more mockery and said to Charlotte, "I told you, Charlotte, there are so many other customers."
Her meaning was clear, telling Charlotte not to bother with Peter and to attend to well-dressed customers instead.
At this moment, the girl hanging on the middle-aged man cooed, "Liam, let’s go have a look, too. I really love the villas here."
The middle-aged man glanced at Peter, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, and then laughed, "Interesting, all right, let’s go have a look, too."
After they came out, Charlotte led Peter Brown to a viewing car parked there, and the middle-aged man and girl also got in the car.
Once seated, Charlotte continued to introduce the villas to Peter Brown.
Peter looked at Charlotte and said, "Not bad, you’re very familiar with the situation of the properties here."
The flirtatious woman glanced at Peter and also introduced the housing situation to the middle-aged man and girl.
Soon, the car arrived in front of the detached villa Peter had his eye on.
After getting out of the car, Peter took a closer look at it, and the more he saw, the more he liked the environment. In addition to the villa, there was also a garden. Peter thought about setting up a formation here and making it a place for him to rest.
