Chapter 476: Chapter 475: Having a Boyfriend
After dinner, Peter came into the factory and glanced at the factory sign.
Hilland Toy Factory!
Looking at the sign, Peter thought the previous positioning of the factory was a bit small, as it was just a toy factory. He guessed that Nellie’s uncle didn’t expect the factory to become this successful when he started it.
While thinking, Nellie’s voice reached Peter’s ears. Nellie was already waiting inside the duty office. The doorman, a middle-aged man, followed her out.
There was also a vigilant-looking young man in exquisite clothes standing next to her, staring at Peter.
Peter’s gaze naturally shifted towards this young man who clearly harbored ill intentions toward him.
"Is this Felix Walter? Charlotte, how could you trust him?" The young man looked Peter up and down, his face becoming even more displeased.
Nellie said to Peter, "Felix, let me introduce you, this is Collin Harris, my classmate."
Clearly dissatisfied with the introduction, Collin said defiantly to Peter, "Charlotte is my girlfriend."
Nellie frowned and said, "Enough with the nonsense. Let’s go inside and have a look." It was obvious that she was unhappy about Collin claiming her as his girlfriend, but she didn’t object to it.
She then turned to Peter and said, "Felix, help me figure out how to handle this."
It was clear that due to Peter’s exceptional abilities displayed today, Nellie had grown more trusting of him.
The three of them went inside the factory.
They had already seen the factory’s situation during the daytime, and Peter studied the place more carefully under the nightlights.
"Let’s check out the warehouse first."
Once inside the warehouse, Peter shook his head at the sight of the toys piled up everywhere.
"These are all toys that were produced but couldn’t be sold!"
Nellie bitterly smiled.
Peter picked up a toy car and examined it - the kind that runs on the ground after inserting batteries.
Seeing Peter inspecting the toy, Collin snorted and said, "Charlotte, we’ve already seen the situation here. There’s no chance of reviving it. Just give up and do what you love—dancing, and stop playing around here."
"Felix, I roughly calculated that selling these toys would only bring in a few hundred thousand, not even enough to pay salaries," Nellie sighed.
Collin responded, "You calculated it based on the original price. If you want to sell now, our family can only buy them at half the original price. This is the best price I can negotiate for you."
Only then did Peter ask Collin, "Is your family in the toy business?"
Collin proudly replied, "That’s right, our family runs a substantial toy business in this province."
Peter then looked at Nellie.
At that moment, Nellie’s face turned red and said, "I met Collin when I was trying to sell these toys a while ago."
Peter laughed, looking at Nellie. Perhaps it was because Nellie was a dancer that her figure was impressive. She was not only beautiful but likely caught Collin’s attention, who then clung to her through promises of help.
"Collin, it was agreed to sell at market price, right?" Nellie was unhappy at that moment.
"Charlotte, helping out is one thing, but it also depends on our relationship, right?" Collin was once again forcing Nellie to take a stand.
As he spoke, Collin pointed to the surroundings and said, "Charlotte, you’ve seen the situation here. The entire factory is practically ruined. Not to mention the backlog of toys, but even the newly purchased equipment is outdated by several years. Without anyone’s help, you won’t make it, even with extraordinary abilities."
Collin looked at Peter and snorted, "Do you really trust this kid that much? Look at him. Can he help you? Let me tell you, no one but me can help you through this crisis. Of course, it’s up to you to seize this opportunity."
"You!"
Nellie’s face changed with anger. She had been trying to turn the factory around through Collin’s connections but didn’t expect Collin to force her to take a stand today.
In truth, Nellie had secretly learned about Collin’s situation. The guy didn’t want to marry her but only toy with her. No matter what, Nellie wouldn’t agree to this.
Peter had been listening quietly and now understood some of the underlying situation. He smirked and asked Collin, "Do you want to marry Nellie?"
Having gained some experience by now, Peter had also learned to treat matters of the heart with a relaxed attitude under Beau Taylor’s guidance. Coming together due to fate and parting naturally when it’s over wasn’t something he viewed as intolerable.
Collin didn’t expect Peter to ask so directly. His face changed, and he snorted, "Charlotte, are you with him or me?"
Not giving Peter a direct answer, the young man pressured Nellie once more.
Seeing her not responding, Collin continued, "To be honest, the Wind Sea Group controls the toy distribution channels of our family business. Now they want to block you guys completely. Without my help, this factory only has one way out - total collapse."
Nellie pointed at Collin and said, "So, you’ve been colluding with Wind Sea Group all along!"
Collin snorted, "Nellie, I don’t care what you think. I’m telling you, whatever product you produce, you won’t have any chances in this province unless you become my woman!"
He completely disregarded her feelings, making it clear that he wanted Nellie as his woman.
"Nellie, as long as you become my woman, I’ll strongly support this factory. It’s not impossible to revive it!"
"Get lost!"
Nellie became furious. She finally saw that Collin had been in cahoots with the Wind Sea Group all along. Seeking their help meant delivering herself into their hands. If she genuinely believed becoming Collin’s woman would save the factory, they would devour her whole, leaving no bones behind.
Looking at Nellie, Collin said, "I believe you’ll come begging to me." With that, he turned and left the room in large strides.
Seeing Collin gone, Nellie sat on a pile of toys, her face full of disappointment.
"Felix, am I really incompetent?"
Peter said, "You didn’t know this industry to begin with. It seems like you’ve been set up."
"Yes, I thought I could do it, but now I realize I can’t!"
Peter smiled and asked, "Are you giving up now?"
"What else can I do?"
Peter laughed, "Just because others can’t revive this factory doesn’t mean I can’t!"
