Chapter 2160: Chapter 2158: Quasi Saint’s Subordinate
Elixir Sea Teleport!
After a single teleport, Peter Brown stepped into the imperial palace.
As his gaze swept across, Peter noticed that the puppet clone he had placed here looked quite unpleasant.
Upon probing with his Divine Sense, Peter discovered an issue with the puppet—it was enveloped by a great power, rendering his clone’s consciousness incapable of commanding its body or moving.
No wonder it hadn’t contacted him for so many days—something had gone awry.
Peter was surprised by the situation. When he left, the puppet had been capable, so who in this palace could have reduced it to such a state?
Recovering his original appearance and donning a yellow robe, Peter stored the puppet away and strode outside.
"Your Ma-Ma-Majesty!" Eunuchs and palace maids waiting outside were utterly shocked to see Peter emerging. They stared at him in disbelief before dropping to their knees.
Soon, Francis Miller came rushing over. When his eyes fell upon Peter, he hesitated and asked, "Is it really Your Majesty?"
Knowing some inside information, Francis was aware that the puppet was inside. However, the puppet had suffered significant damage and shouldn’t have awakened this suddenly. Could it be that His Majesty himself had returned?
"It is I!"
Peter uttered firmly.
Francis immediately became emotional and exclaimed, "Your Majesty, you’ve returned!"
Turning to the people behind him, he shouted, "Quick, inform the Empress and the others—His Majesty has awakened!"
Soon, the entire palace was in an uproar, with more and more people rushing over.
"Greetings, Your Majesty!"
Sophia Baker led the people of the royal harem forward, all visibly moved.
As Peter looked at these women, he saw their faces filled with sorrow.
He led everyone into a hall at the rear and took a seat. Palace maids were already present to attend them.
"What on earth has happened? Why does everyone look so distraught?"
"Your Majesty, some time ago, a top-level expert suddenly appeared. His name is Jace Brown—a Void Saint-level strong person," Kora Baker explained, her expression turning grim as she mentioned him.
Void Saint-level?
Peter’s expression grew complicated. He had killed many Void Saints in the past, yet he hadn’t expected a Void Saint-level figure to wreak havoc here at his base and plunge the Hua Nation into chaos.
It was evident that Kora and the others had no means to deal with the situation.
"Does he possess significant power now?" Peter asked.
Kora responded, "Your Majesty, in this region, Void Saints are exceedingly formidable. Not even the Starlight Domain has experts of such caliber. According to him, he intends to take control of this region. If not for your formation, the palace would have already been breached."
"What about the civil and military officials?"
"Those who disobeyed him were annihilated!"
Outrageous!
Peter was speechless—his stronghold had been bullied to this degree by a Void Saint!
Sweeping his gaze over those present, Peter said nothing further. He released one of the Void Saints he had elevated to Quasi-Saint-level and directed him, "Go capture Jace Brown for me."
"Yes!"
The Quasi-Saint’s aura was overwhelmingly strong. The moment he emerged, everyone was stunned by the sheer power—a level of dominance they had never witnessed before. The entire group was petrified.
"Your Majesty?"
Kora looked at Peter in confusion.
Seeing their astonishment, Peter replied, "It’s just a Void Saint. I’ll have a Quasi-Saint capture him. I’m curious to see what he’s all about."
Quasi-Saint!
Everyone’s eyes widened. In their minds, Void Saints were invincible, beyond all comprehension. And yet, His Majesty had returned from his journey capable of commanding a Quasi-Saint. Did this mean His Majesty had ascended to sainthood?
More glances were cast toward Peter.
Peter smiled and declared, "Though I am not yet a Saint, I have already embarked on the road to becoming a Saint!"
Peter was now brimming with confidence and energy.
While they were conversing, the Quasi-Saint returned, dragging a Void Saint onto the ground.
Peter’s gaze fell upon this man.
He appeared to be a young man, not particularly intimidating.
"Are you Jace Brown?"
Peter frowned slightly as he scrutinized him. Was this the individual who had nearly toppled his nation?
"You’re Peter Brown? Hmph! Let me tell you—don’t provoke me. Don’t think that being an emperor makes you anything special. To us, you are nothing. You think having one Quasi-Saint to aid you is impressive? We could deploy countless Quasi-Saints."
Oh?
Peter’s interest was piqued—he hadn’t expected to encounter someone tied to a group of Quasi-Saints. This man seemed to be a subordinate.
"Are you one of the subordinates of a Quasi-Saint?"
Jace snorted and replied, "Let me spell it out for you—Albert Harrison, the Quasi-Saint, is orchestrating a grand scheme. Not only will the Purple River Star Region be under their control, but this entire Heaven and Earth will fall into the hands of the Quasi-Saints. Any resistance faces an automatic kill order."
Peter had now grasped the background behind this man.
The gathering of people in the hall grew visibly anxious. In their minds, Quasi-Saints were unbelievably powerful, and Albert Harrison wasn’t acting alone but as part of a group. Facing such forces, could His Majesty truly confront them?
"Your Majesty..."
Someone tried to address Peter with concern.
Peter chuckled and instructed the Quasi-Saint, "Kill him."
Following Peter’s command, the Quasi-Saint delivered a single strike to Jace Brown.
With that blow, the man was reduced to flying ashes.
Using the power of his Will Palace, Peter activated his spiritual dominance, absorbing and reconstructing Jace’s Divine Sense. Everything the Void Saint knew flooded into Peter’s Brain Domain.
So that’s how it is!
After dissecting the man’s consciousness, Peter gained clarity. Faith-based energy was becoming increasingly influential. Quasi-Saint-level experts had already grasped this fact. In the past, this star domain lacked Divine Veins and wasn’t considered significant. Now, with the shift, it had become a viable site for cultivation. As a result, these figures sought faith-based energy and dispatched Void Saints as their enforcers to various locations.
It appears there’s no avoiding another clash with the Quasi-Saints!
Peter was unfazed by the prospect of facing Quasi-Saints. At his current stage, while his cultivation wasn’t exceedingly high, he had several Quasi-Saints under his command—an undeniably powerful force.
If needed, another battle it shall be!
