Chapter 2019: Chapter 2117: Stealing Faith Energy

Back at his residence, Peter Brown felt quite excited, having finally found a lucrative project. He understood that the demand for faith energy was huge in places where powerhouses in the Starlight Domain gathered. If he could continually supply such a thing, obtaining a large amount of starlight coins wouldn’t be difficult, and he could also acquire ample resources through those coins.

Of course, Peter Brown realized that the key issue was whether he could refine a faith energy collector. If he couldn’t manage to refine it, everything else would be pointless.

Taking out the Jade Slip with the Refining Secrets, Peter held it to his forehead, and instantly, a wealth of information poured into his brain.

So that’s how it is!

After studying it for a while, Peter found that the refinement was actually quite simple, not as difficult as he thought, which explained why the secrets of how to refine were available on the market.

Thinking it over, Peter had an epiphany. This device was indeed great for storing faith energy, but such tasks weren’t for everyone to play with. Every faction carefully protected their believers and their temples, which were heavily guarded. It was challenging even to get close, let alone collect energy.

What was difficult for others was not so for Peter Brown.

After contemplating for a while, Peter started to try refining.

And it turns out, Peter’s refining speed was rapid, and it didn’t take long to have a collector created.

After examining it carefully, Peter confirmed that the collector was indeed a success.

Let’s give it a try!

Peter had no qualms about stealing others’ faith energy. He knew that in the Divine Realm, one needn’t consider too many things.

Thinking for a moment, Peter realized there were two issues to resolve—one was the placement and retrieval of the collector. It shouldn’t just be left there with no easy way to take it back. So, this was key. The other issue was secrecy; it absolutely must not be discovered.

But how should he go about it?

Peter carefully pondered.

A formation was definitely necessary, but what was the best way to set it up?

Peter recalled all the artifact refining and Immortal Artifacts he had seen in the Lower Realm.

After some thought, his eyes lit up. He recalled a type of Nanotech Immortal Artifact that used a special formation. Once the formation was activated, the artifact could turn into something as small as sand grains to the naked eye, even though it was not small at all.

Could he use the same concept to collect now if he refined such a Divine Artifact?

The more he thought about it, the more Peter felt it was feasible, as he had all the materials needed.

However, this artifact needed to be retrieveable once deployed, so a Traction Formation was necessary.

The more he thought, the more Peter felt confident in his ability to create such a Divine Artifact.

Three Days Later, Peter finally had a tiny object, about the size of a finger, which housed the collector along with a Concealment Formation and a Traction Formation.

"Now it’s time to give it a try!"

Peter mumbled to himself.

Casting an Invisibility Talisman, he opened the door and walked out.

Soon, Peter arrived at the very center of Star City, at the heavily fortified Divine Temple.

Looking at the fortified temple equipped with formations, Peter didn’t know what deity was enshrined inside; he only knew that people came here day after day for sacrificial ceremonies, and they took the temple very seriously.

"Go!"

With a wave of his hand, though he was far from the temple, the Divine Artifact affected by the formation vanished.

Though it seemed to disappear, Peter knew in his heart that this Divine Artifact housing the collector had entered the temple. Driven by the formation, the artifact had now reached a location not far from the temple.

Whoosh!

The artifact remained hidden and then moved towards the centermost house of the temple.

"Return."

Seeing that it had reached the location and hadn’t been discovered, Peter knew he was halfway to success.

Following his command, the sent-out artifact swiftly returned, instantly re-entering Peter’s hand.

After several tests, Peter confirmed that he could freely deploy and retrieve it.

Having sent the artifact again, Peter turned and left.

Walking down the road, Peter’s face broke into a smile; having done several back-and-forths without anyone noticing proved the effectiveness of his setup.

Thinking of this, Peter felt it was time to build a teleportation formation here, as he would likely be consistently collecting faith energy from this place.

With this thought, Peter inquired about the property sales nearby. He spent nearly half his fortune and finally bought a small courtyard near the temple.

This courtyard was a permanent property. Following the customs of the Divine Race, Peter set up a protective formation around the home.

In the Divine Race, such family protective formations were common. Simple yet practical, the formation ensured that only his family members could enter or leave, fully controlled by a mystical Heavenly Dao Will.

Not only did he set up this protective home formation, but Peter also laid a Slaughter Array inside. Even if someone managed to breach the outer formation, they couldn’t get in.

After setting this up, Peter then established a teleportation formation inside one of the rooms of the courtyard.

Of course, besides the teleportation formation, Peter also prepared a defensive formation.

With all this done, Peter created a Puppet to take care of the place. Its job was to swap out a filled collector with a new one, storing the collected faith energy in a special formation for Peter to collect periodically.

Looking over his setup, Peter was quite satisfied with it; even if a powerful individual arrived, the Puppet’s Heaven-Exploding Thunder was enough to destroy anyone below two hundred star ranks.

That’s it for now; he’d see if he could really10collect faith energy tomorrow.

Having finished, and realizing he was running low on money, Peter planned to refine a Divine Artifact to send to an Auction. After all, along his journey, he didn’t know how many more properties, teleportation formations, or even Puppets he’d need to continuously refine.
