Chapter 1883: Chapter 1881: News Arrives
Including himself, there were still seven princes alive.
When Peter Brown looked over at these princes, he noticed among them were Prince Five, Prince Seven, Prince Eight, Prince Ten, Prince Sixteen, and Prince Eighteen, a total of six people.
Looking at these princes, Peter knew that Prince Seven probably seemed to be the strongest on the surface.
Without revealing any information, Peter arrived at a secluded courtyard.
After settling in, Peter then took a look around the small courtyard. He was somewhat surprised to see such arrangements in this place. It seemed that the Purpolia Kingdom had a foundation not to be underestimated. He realized that he might have underappreciated the depth of the Purpolia Kingdom.
This place served as a spot for replenishing food and other supplies and was also a zone where killing each other was forbidden. Everyone gathered here had seven days. If they didn’t leave by the end of the seventh day, it equaled automatic forfeiture.
Peter also wanted to see what kind of things could actually be replenished here, so he stood up and walked outside.
As soon as he left the courtyard, a young eunuch approached and said, "Your Highness, may I know what service you require?"
"I’d like to replenish some supplies. Where should I go?"
"Please follow me."
Quickly, Peter came to a place that appeared to be a warehouse.
"Your Highness, you can only replenish a certain quantity of each type of supply, and there are instructions for each," said the eunuch before leaving.
Only then did Peter realize that the place was full of food items and some daily necessities. However, the beast skins he wanted were nowhere to be found.
After looking for a while without finding what he wanted, Peter knew this place was merely for the princes to have a brief respite and wouldn’t offer much help.
Having arbitrarily replenished a few items, Peter left the warehouse.
Just as Peter was about to return, the eunuch approached him at a quick pace and said, "Your Highness, the other princes have requested your presence."
Oh?
Peter didn’t say much more and followed the eunuch to a place that resembled a garden, where the six princes were already seated.
"Harvey, come sit and talk," said Prince Seven, who was behaving courteously as he called over to Peter.
Looking at Prince Seven, Peter knew this guy was no good person. He snorted and, carrying Prince Harvey’s demeanor, walked over and sat down arrogantly.
When Peter took his seat, Prince Seven sighed and said, "Harvey, we just received some bad news. There are only seven of us princes left!"
Peter pretended to be shocked and said, "Is that so? I only killed two."
"That’s exactly the point we don’t understand. Several princes died, and we don’t know who killed them."
While saying this, Prince Seven looked meaningfully at Peter.
"Who exactly died?" asked Peter in a very calm manner.
Prince Five spoke gravely, "The turn of events has surprised us all. Something beyond our knowledge has definitely happened. To better understand the situation, we’ve discussed it and decided that everyone should bring out their record cards. Let’s see if anyone here killed them," he said as he looked toward Peter.
Seeing their expressions, Peter understood that they suspected him.
Fortunately, he had already anticipated this.
With that thought, Peter nodded slightly and said, "The ones I killed were Henry and Edward. They ambushed me, and I killed them in self-defense. There’s nothing shameful about it. They dared to lay an ambush for me, so it’s on them that they died." While speaking, he tossed his record card to Prince Five.
Upon examining it, Prince Five’s expression changed, and then he passed it to Prince Seven.
After everyone saw the records, their expressions became grave.
Soon, everyone took out their identity cards.
After looking over them for some time, Prince Seven said in bewilderment, "What on earth happened? Many weren’t killed by us. What could have happened to them?"
Prince Five also expressed confusion, "Prince One, Prince Four, Old_Nine, Prince Eleven, Prince Fifteen, five of them weren’t killed by us. Prince Samuel and Martin were no ordinary people; how could they have been killed so suddenly?"
Prince Ten seriously said, "In fact, I know something. Old_Nine was not ordinary; he hid his true strength well. To my knowledge, he had cultivation matching the Thirty Star Rank."
What?
Everyone looked at Prince Ten in surprise.
After a bitter smile, Prince Ten said, "Old_Nine approached me; he even demonstrated his power. I just didn’t take a stance, and now he’s dead under unclear circumstances!"
At this point, Prince Seven was also shocked and asked, "Was he really that strong?"
Prince Ten smiled wryly, "That’s exactly what I’m worried about. Just think, the cultivation of those of us here, and even the bodyguards we might have, can we really kill them? And they seem to have been killed singlehandedly, which suggests that there are more powerful forces hidden behind the scenes!"
At these words, the mood among everyone became more solemn.
Prince Eighteen loudly declared then and there, "This is too dangerous. Let’s not compete anymore; let’s go out and vie for power in the other way. There’s simply no guarantee of life here!"
Prince Seven looked around at everyone, sensing a crisis, and turned to Peter, "Harvey, what do you say?"
As the situation had developed to this point, Prince Seven understood that only Prince Harvey might have the ability to contend with him and was curious about Peter’s stance.
Peter, in fact, was also considering this matter. With so many Sects now able to freely enter this place, staying here was indeed too dangerous. Furthermore, Peter also needed a lot of resources to upgrade himself, so he felt staying here wasn’t beneficial for him.
Of course, Peter wouldn’t agree too easily and looked at everyone, asking, "What about the distribution of the deceased’s possessions?"
This brought up the issue of interests, and everyone’s gaze sharpened.
Prince Five and Prince Seven both suddenly thought of the resources in the mansions of Prince Samuel and Prince Four and, naturally, wanted to seize them. After leaving, those would have to be shared.
Prince Seven knew Peter was very powerful. After hesitating for a moment, he said, "Currently, the greatest interests lie within Prince Samuel’s Manor, Martin’s, and Edward’s. I’ll take Prince Samuel’s, Harvey will take Martin’s, Prince Five will take Edward’s, and the rest of us will split the other two. How does that sound?"
With this suggestion, the rest protested and arguments began.
