Chapter 1840: Chapter 1838: Capturing Two People

Peter Brown didn’t want to talk with them anymore; what he thought about now was taking them down.

Peter knew quite a bit about the Divine Race’s situation. Despite their high cultivation, once the energy within their bodies was consumed, they would have balance issues. With just the energy of life remaining, the Celestial Energy would be severely drained—in no time would it be replenishable. Therefore, this was the confidence that allowed Peter to believe he could overcome them.

The two people within the formation were unaware that each of their bombardments was being redirected skyward; they had always thought they were striking the formation.

At that moment, Peter cast out several divine stones.

After the divine stones were thrown, the appearance of the formation remained unchanged. However, the two trapped inside suddenly found their surroundings had transformed, and they had fallen into a great battle.

What shocked them most was the intensity of the battlefield—everyone was desperately attacking those nearby, and even some indistinguishable fierce beasts were launching assaults at them.

At first, the two thought they were trapped within Peter’s formation, perhaps in an illusory landscape, so they ignored the incoming attacks.

But the situation that followed terrified them.

Pfft, pfft!

When two Ice Arrows shot towards them, because they hadn’t bothered with the incoming arrows, the arrows firmly lodged in their bodies.

Ah!

Both screamed miserably, utterly stupefied.

Then, a flurry of Ice Arrows arrived, along with the occasional slashing attack.

How could this be?

Now truly frightened, they realized the formation they had entered might actually be a real battleground, thinking they might really have ended up in the midst of a war.

The younger of the two took out a large saber at that point and swung it at the incoming Ice Arrows.

When his saber split the air, even though it shattered the Ice Arrows, he suddenly discovered that the formation’s power had risen drastically and that saber force was being directed at him.

Not good!

Feeling the formidable force of the saber energy, he had no choice but to desperately fight against it.

Peter laughed upon seeing this, as the sword energy the young man was battling was, in fact, the energy Peter himself had exerted with all his might; it was simply redirected by the formation’s power to strike him.

That was the situation for the young man; the older individual found himself in the same predicament, only his power was much stronger. Naturally, because of this increased power, the attacks he received were also far more severe.

He held a similar large saber, every slash of which had earth-shattering force. But given they were within the formation and an external Shielding Formation enclosed them, naturally, his attacks were confined to this space.

When Peter saw the middle-aged man’s situation, a thought struck him, redirecting his saber energy towards the younger man.

Neither realized their attacks were being manipulated.

This time, Peter employed a tactic of swapping their saber energies. The older man in black felt the saber energy within the formation weaken and was instantly filled with joy, believing the energy of the formation was nearly depleted. His attacks grew even fiercer, and he slashed out relentlessly.

Now the younger man was in dire straits. He had only been bearing his own saber attacks, but suddenly had to withstand the onslaught nearly equivalent to that of a Thirty Stars level, and with just a single strike, he was cleaved to the ground.

Before the young man could react, several more slashes headed his way.

After a few strikes, the young man was rendered powerless, his energy completely drained.

Peter, seeing this, used the Guidance Formation to redirect the older man’s saber force back towards himself.

Not only that, but Peter also activated a multiplying formation.

As the saber energy intensified within the formation, the older man panicked; he suddenly found the attacks against him had doubled.

To fight back, he was forced to strike with even greater strength.

Amidst such combat, his internal energy also depleted significantly.

Boom, boom, boom!

Several massive saber energies struck him.

With these strikes, blood sprayed from the man’s mouth.

Not good!

He knew that today he might meet his doom here and shouted loudly, "Let me out."

"Mercy!"

At this point, he was even begging for his life, without regard for his status as a formidable fighter.

Hearing his pleas for mercy, Peter had no intention to spare him. For such a person capable of yielding and standing tall, Peter believed that if he spared him, it would mean conceding control of his own life.

Since they had come, they should not expect to escape with their lives!

Peter didn’t stop his assault, and the formation continued to operate. Various attacks struck the man. Although each hit only drained a little of the man’s energy, Peter’s formation was so relentless that the series of attacks left the older man gradually weakening.

Even so, Peter did not dare to take the risk and kept initiating the formation, bombarding continuously.

As the man fell, no longer able to resist, a true large saber suddenly appeared, and then a head was hacked off.

This cut was personally executed by Peter.

For such a powerful enemy, Peter didn’t dare to question him. Just a slight opportunity, and Peter was convinced that the man could escape, and if he did, Peter’s death would not be far off. Hence, Peter’s first action was to sever his head.

And it didn’t stop there; while wielding the saber, Peter also split open the man’s heart and below the navel.

Soon, the man in black gear was killed by Peter.

Lifting the face mask, the lack of energy protection caused the man’s features to revert back to normal.

Peter looked over the man repeatedly, then took his ring and used a Flame to burn the corpse away.

After taking care of this, Peter moved to deal with the younger man. He first destroyed his below the navel to ensure he had no power left to resist, and then Peter began interrogation.

The young man, scared out of his wits, recounted everything.

After listening to the young man’s story, Peter similarly took his ring, then executed him with a slash, and even used a Flame to completely incinerate his corpse.

After tidying up the entire battlefield and erasing all traces, Peter finally breathed a sigh of relief. Sharing this story was beyond belief; he could hardly believe he had killed two individuals far superior in cultivation.
