Chapter 1839: Chapter 1837: The Destructor Returns Again
"What’s going on? Where has Brian Hughes disappeared to?"
Peter Brown hadn’t seen Brian Hughes for a long time and was really getting unused to his absence, especially since Brian had supported Peter’s farming by giving him many seeds. Without those, the newly opened hundred acres of land would have no seeds to plant.
Peter had visited Brian’s place several times, but each time it was empty.
It seemed that Brian must have left suddenly due to some task!
After not being able to find Brian, Peter focused solely on planting here, and it was still quite busy every day since he had to personally take care of two hundred acres of land.
As days passed, the newly planted Divine Seeds also started to grow well.
Watching the growth of the Divine Seeds every day, Peter was in a great mood.
The only thing bothering Peter lately was the matter of Body Refining. Although he had the first layer of the Body Refining Technique, this technique required materials to accompany the body conditioning. It was a whole new way of Body Refining, and without asking Brian first, Peter really didn’t dare to try it lightly.
Materials were definitely rare, and he guessed that within the Sect, they could only be exchanged for points. He wasn’t sure if the Divine Seeds from his two hundred acres could accumulate enough points for exchange.
This area was indeed a desolate place; although there were Chore Disciples clearing the land and planting Divine Seeds, everyone was far apart from each other, and Peter hadn’t even met any other Chore Disciples since.
If he were an ordinary person, being alone in such a place might feel lonely, but Peter didn’t feel that way. Cultivators must endure solitude, and Peter was indeed such a person.
Of course, it wasn’t that Peter had nothing else to do; he had collected quite a few materials inside his Ring, and after carefully identifying and categorizing them, he was pleasantly surprised.
The Body Refining Technique required ten types of materials, and Peter unexpectedly found that he already had eight of them. He only needed two more to complete the set, and once the materials were ready, Peter could start Body Refining at any time.
Being a prince did have its advantages, at least the Archive was so rich.
Now, Peter somewhat missed the life of being a prince and wondered what would happen after his disappearance.
However, whenever he thought of those people having formations and Energy Bombs, Peter thought as long as they cooperated properly, ensuring their own safety shouldn’t be a problem.
Sitting cross-legged inside the house, Peter was also trying to deduce his own Body Refining Technique.
Ever since he suspected there were flaws in the Star Sect’s Body Refining Technique, Peter had been deducing this technique.
What pained Peter the most now was that he only knew of one Sect’s Body Refining Technique; if he could know more types of Body Refining methods, Peter believed he could certainly deduce a completely new way of Body Refining.
It was late at night, silent outside, yet Peter was still deducing the Body Refining Technique.
Just then, a thought flashed through Peter’s mind, and he appeared outside the house.
For his own safety, Peter had long since stopped living in the original straw hut and had built a wooden hut in the field, protected by a formation.
When he stepped outside, Peter’s eyes narrowed as he saw two people dressed in black darting around inside the formation, clearly having just fallen into the newly planted hundred acres of land.
The land Peter had planted was hidden by a formation, which wouldn’t activate unless someone entered. From outside, it looked like there was no formation; probably that’s why the two men in black had fallen into it.
Now, observing their cultivation level, Peter couldn’t quite make out what it was, but judging from their desperate attempts to bombard the formation, they should be around twenty stars, not much different from Brian Hughes’s cultivation.
Seeing them in black clothes, anger flared in Peter’s eyes. They were really addicted to bullying, thinking he was a tiger not showing its strength, merely a sick cat.
At that moment, Peter felt a killing intent.
He threw out several divine stones, and immediately activated a soundproofing formation outside the perimeter.
This time Peter was determined to take care of these two.
Even though his own cultivation didn’t match theirs, once they fell into his formation, the only outcome was being captured by him.
Listening intently, Peter investigated the surroundings and didn’t detect anything unusual.
It seemed that only these two had come, and there was nobody else.
Seeing the stillness and confirming no one else was there, Peter spoke sternly, "Who are you?"
The formation Peter had laid transmitted his words in a special way inside.
"Kid, release us quickly, or we’ll make you beg for death," a young voice came through.
Hearing this threat, the killing intent in Peter’s heart intensified a lot.
"You dare come here to cause trouble, aren’t you afraid the Sect will know?" Peter tested them with a question.
"Kid, you a mere Chore Disciple dare trap us after the formation, if you’re wise, release us immediately, otherwise, you definitely won’t find a place to stand in this Sect!" Clearly, these two were the troublemakers.
From the dialogue, Peter had confirmed that they were indeed there to cause trouble.
"Did the Baldwins send you?" "Hmph, they don’t have that capacity!" The younger voice came through, and Peter could tell this was a young man with not much experience and easy to bait.
"Did you come on your own then?" "Kid, let me tell you, even Brian Hughes can’t protect you. If you offend us, you’ll have a bad end." The older one didn’t listen to the young man’s words and kept on attacking the formation forcefully. Before coming, he had learned that although Peter’s formation was strong, as long as one kept attacking, the formation would dissipate when its energy was exhausted, so now he was bombarding the formation with powerful energy in an attempt to exhaust its energy.
Peter was observing their behavior and knew that they must have learned some information about his formation.
A smile appeared on his lips; the last time he mentioned that the divine stones would exhaust their energy and dissipate the formation, it was intentional, meant to mislead people. How could a formation set with top-quality divine stones run out of energy so quickly?
"Release us quickly, Peter Brown, as long as you don’t side with that kid Brian Hughes, I guarantee you’ll become an official disciple," the young man shouted loudly.
