Chapter 1778: Chapter 1776: Need to Have One’s Own Means to Succeed
After chatting with everyone for a while, they all began to cultivate sitting cross-legged.Peter Brown was also sitting cross-legged, but his brain was anything but calm. He was thinking about his own affairs. Clearly, although these companions of his were from the Divine Realm, there was one point in which they could not compare to him, and that was that they had not been exposed to more than he had.
When Peter thought about the various knowledge he had gained in the Lower Realm, he felt that he was not entirely useless. Compared to them, he still had many advantages. The key was to figure out what these advantages were.
The first thing Peter Brown thought of was the art of cultivation. The cultivation techniques of the Lower Realm were definitely completely different from those here, but as long as it was about cultivation, Peter believed there had to be something in common; it couldn’t be completely useless.
He took out the Blood Slaying Three Moves that he had been given and started to study it carefully.
After some research, Peter discovered that indeed, this cultivation technique was entirely different. The techniques of the Lower Realm focused on cultivating energy, but this technique, besides the energy, also dealt with Luck Energy.
Although both were energies, the difference between the two was immense.
After trying to operate the Blood Slaying Three Moves’ technique, Peter found that the progress was not great. Energy known as Luck was present everywhere here, generated possibly by one’s own nation, or within the Army, and most likely from the cultivated Star Planets. However, Luck Energy here was somewhat mysterious, essentially an unseen and untouchable matter.
After pondering for a while, Peter suddenly had an insight. Perhaps the reason everyone placed such a priority on cultivating with Luck as the main focus was because normal cultivation could still yield some Celestial Energy, but if a certain ratio of Luck Energy was not integrated, it would be impossible for one’s cultivation to advance.
No wonder everyone only had such moves and not superior cultivation techniques; everything was propelled by energy.
Once Peter understood the situation, he felt somewhat more confident in his heart.
Whether it was the Blood Slaying Three Moves or other more powerful moves, at most they were only slightly stronger than others. The key factor was one’s Star Level rank. The higher the level, the stronger one becomes in combat. Hence, every action revolved around gathering enough Luck Energy.
There were two types of energy that everyone gathered in their cultivation: one was Luck, and the other was Cosmic Energy. After cultivation, these two energies would merge into the body and collectively be referred to as Star Power. Even within the same level, there were distinctions in the integrated Star Power; there was a one-star fate tier with a million dollars in Star Power, and also a one-star fate tier with 1.5 million dollars in Star Power. With such differences, the combat power would naturally differ.
When Peter saw the four of them cultivating, each holding something called Divine Wood in their hands to absorb it, he inwardly shook his head. He didn’t have such a thing, and even if he did, it would be of no use. Therefore, Peter knew he had to find a way to protect himself before great battles arrived; otherwise, there was only a dead end waiting for him.
From the actions of the Upper Level’s Generals, it was clear that they did not take these new soldiers seriously. The reason they brought them here to engage in fierce battle was likely for one purpose alone: to have everyone fight fiercely with the enemy, thereby getting killed by the enemy. As long as the enemy killed enough people, those at the high levels would quickly move out to defeat the enemy soldiers and then greatly harvest Vitality Energy.
Everything about this place had always seemed mysterious to Peter, but now he finally began to uncover some of it. Of course, Peter knew he still understood very little.
While visualizing some of the techniques he knew from the Lower Realm in his mind, Peter’s eyes suddenly lit up. He finally discovered the biggest reason why the techniques from the Lower Realm could not be used here.
It wasn’t that they couldn’t be used, but rather that the energy channels they used were not powerful enough!
Thinking more carefully about the manipulation of energy, Peter’s eyes shone even brighter.
He realized something: the energy used in the Lower Realm was limited, but upon reaching the level of Divine Beings, the energy wielded was extraordinary. The minimum energy utilized now was of one-star strength. If he tried to use his old techniques, there would be two extreme scenarios. One was that if a large amount of Star Power was used at once, one could die from Vitality depletion before even launching the attack, rendering it unusable. The other scenario was that these old techniques simply couldn’t withstand such use.
Naturally, Peter knew that one of the most important reasons could be the depletion of Vitality. While utilizing Star Power, it divided into two: the Luck Energy from one’s fate would separate to protect the body, and the other portion of Cosmic Energy would go towards the attack. This was the result of splitting Star Power for different uses.
The more Peter studied, the more he saw great potential in this matter. He had too much advanced consciousness, or it could be said that the upper echelons of the Divine Race likely already understood this situation. They had methods, but those from the lower levels were unaware of it. Thus, being placed in such an environment meant that if he could solve this issue, he could stand undefeated.
At this point, Peter finally got excited.
After analyzing the situation further, Peter was more convinced that those experts must know how to use it better. Exactly because they knew, they were able to enter the Inner Kingdom to enjoy themselves. It was those who did not know who were brought here to fight, thus providing a continuous supply of Star Power for them.
Having understood this, Peter knew he was extremely weak on such a battlefield. It wasn’t just about fighting; there was a problem even with self-preservation. Even as a one-star Destiny person, if someone with more than one hundred billion dollars in Star Power came, he would only face a dead end. Therefore, under the current situation, cultivation was secondary for him. The primary Task was to figure out a way to protect himself. He must come up with a means of self-protection as quickly as possible to have a glimmer of a chance at survival.
But how exactly should he come up with a method for self-protection?
Looking at everyone cultivating so earnestly, Peter repeatedly took out and researched the various techniques he knew from before.
