Chapter 1718: Chapter 1716 Research

Two hours later, the wild boar finally collapsed on the ground.

Peter Brown walked over, picked up the wild boar, had already opened the Sacred Gate of the Path, and then stepped through.

Behind him, a multitude of wild beasts were howling fiercely; Peter’s heart still trembled a bit, surprised that so many creatures had been attracted.

After entering the room on Earth, Peter dropped the wild boar he was carrying onto the floor and sat there, catching his breath for quite some time.

Once he had caught his breath, Peter finally turned his attention to the wild boar, saying seriously that it wasn’t actually a wild boar, but merely resembled one somewhat.

How did it possess such great power?

After thinking for a moment, Peter again carried the wild boar to a specialized analysis room.

He placed the wild boar on the analysis table and said to the AI, "Full analysis. I need all its data, especially the mutated parts within its body."

"Don’t worry, Master. Starting the analysis now."

Seeing various instruments now springing to life, Peter went over and poured himself a cup of tea to drink.

Reflecting on his recent entrance, Peter still felt a bit apprehensive; clearly, the Sacred Path was not as safe as it seemed, and even he struggled to survive there.

Looking over himself, he noticed several injuries where he was bleeding.

Peter now understood that his body was not truly formidable; in the Land of the Sanctuary, he too could be killed.

After a while, Salina said, "Master, some data has emerged. According to the analysis, this creature’s life force is extremely powerful. It has a mutated core inside it, which has now been extracted. This core is the source of all its strength."

A core?

Peter rushed over to see and indeed, dissection had already begun. A bead shimmering like a crystal ball had been extracted from the boar’s head.

About the size of a fist, one could clearly feel the powerful aura emanating from within it at a glance.

When Peter picked it up and felt it carefully for a while, he discovered that some energy within could be absorbed.

"Salina, how is this energy different from my own?"

"It aligns with the energy in your dantian that has merged with a seed; after analysis, it can be absorbed completely."

This energy inside the bead can be absorbed?

Peter was somewhat surprised.

"The meat of this creature has significant benefits to the human body and can be consumed."

Upon hearing that it was edible, Peter asked, "Can ordinary people eat it?"

"Very few people on this Earth can endure the strength of its meat. Master, you can eat it without any problem."

"You mean others can’t eat it?"

"Not exactly that they can’t eat it, but the energy contained in its meat is too strong. For ordinary human bodies, such potent energy is unbearable, acting like poison. After consuming it, the overwhelming energy would cause the body to fail, leading to death by bleeding from all orifices. This is the powerful effect of the energy."

"So, it means it can be eaten after being diluted?"

"Yes, I can derive a recipe. If prepared according to that recipe, it can help the human body evolve."

Peter’s interest was piqued, and he asked, "Could this meat be turned into a potion that allows the human body to practice cultivation?"

"It can’t be done now."

Peter sighed.

"Can I utilize this energy?"

Peter had asked casually, without expecting much, but Salina said, "Master, the energy within this crystal is abundant. Although you can’t transform it into a form of attack energy, you can definitely create a firearm. As long as there is a triggering device, it can activate the weapon’s power just as it did in the crystal."

Peter’s eyes suddenly lit up, as he eagerly said, "You mean to create a triggering device, and once we obtain a crystal core, put it in there to unleash its attack power?"

"Yes, following research, such triggering devices can indeed be produced."

"Proceed with the research and production immediately. I have two requirements: it must be small and portable, and it must perfectly mimic the opponent’s attack."

"Understood."

Laughing heartily, Peter was truly delighted. If this was the case, he would finally possess a means of defense in the Land of the Sanctuary.

Initially, Peter had been worried about encountering even more powerful creatures upon entering the Sanctuary. Now, with this triggering device, he could take full advantage of the wild boar’s flash grenade attack. By killing beasts with crystal cores, he could continue advancing.

This was a fusion of high technology and cultivation, and he wondered what kind of development such a weapon could bring him.

After cutting a piece of net, Peter walked out directly to the kitchen to start cooking.

Peter also wanted to taste what the meat of a beast from within the Sanctuary was truly like.

Soon, the house was filled with an enticing aroma.

He stir-fried a vegetable dish, made a bowl of soup, and after the rice was cooked, Peter sat there and began eating alone.

So delicious!

Truly delicious!

Peter felt he had never eaten such delicious meat before; the more he ate, the more he wanted.

After quickly finishing the meat, he sat there, contentedly sighing. Such wonderful food, yet he couldn’t share it with anyone and had to eat alone.

Upon reflecting on his body again, Peter noticed some changes; after eating the meat, special energy began to form inside him.

Previously, Peter’s body had only been robust and lacked any usable energy, but now it was different. The newly formed energy was usable to him.

Although scant, Peter grasped clearly that it was indeed usable.

There might not be major changes to his body within the Sanctuary, but his energy seemed to be shifting to a new kind?

Peter sat there, deeply contemplating the situation of this energy.

After thinking for a while, Peter looked again towards the portal.

What made Peter curious was that whether this portal was within the Sanctuary or here, it was always open, consuming kindness energy around twelve o’clock each day. Similarly, spiritual energy entered this realm through it.

Such a strange situation!

These matters were something Peter thought about only briefly before letting them go. After all, many things existed in the way of the Heavenly Dao, beyond his comprehension, and he didn’t want to dwell on them. Right now, he was already on the path to becoming a saint, which seemed perilous, and it was uncertain whether he could ultimately traverse it.

Better to first understand the situation within the Sanctuary.
