Peter Brown returned to the town and went straight to Seth Nelson’s office.

Upon seeing Peter Brown’s arrival, Seth Nelson’s face darkened, and he said sternly, "Comrade_Wang_Xiaofei, even if Fruitful Village faces hardships, you can’t desert so quickly, can you?"

Peter Brown said, "Leader, I’ve come back to report on our work. We’ve launched two projects to develop Fruitful Village, one centered on wine sales and the other on reforming the clay kiln. After discussing with the village community council, we plan to proceed like this..."

Peter Brown then explained the shareholding system of the wine factory and the kiln.

Seth Nelson looked Peter Brown up and down for a while. He certainly knew about the situation in Fruitful Village and was very clear about the condition of the kiln; he did not believe that a clay kiln could create much commotion. Also, who would buy that sour-tasting wine?

When he heard that Peter Brown even secured a certain percentage of shares through Technology Shareholding, Seth Nelson snorted inwardly, thinking this kid really must be dreaming of getting rich. Even if an official does business, should it be done this way?

"The town is facing difficulties; it’s impossible for there to be any investment."

Seth Nelson thought to himself, let this kid mess around for a while; I’ll see how he stirs up trouble and then take care of him all at once. The idea of allocating funds didn’t even cross his mind.

"Leader, I need to go to the county to handle some procedures, so I’m asking for a proof of permission."

"Having ideas for development is good. As long as it involves Poverty Alleviation, we’re supportive. A certification is fine, but all expenses must be raised by yourselves."

Peter Brown then went to report to the county high officials.

Upon hearing about Peter Brown’s actions, Logan Lewis also looked at Peter Brown and smiled, "This is good news, and I believe the county will also support it."

Peter Brown’s heart stirred. Glancing around the office and seeing no outsiders, he took a Bottle of wine out of his bag and handed it to Logan Lewis, "Leader, this is a Bottle of wine for you to taste."

Logan Lewis didn’t expect to receive a gift from Peter Brown, especially not a Bottle of wine, and he frowned, "What are you doing?"

Peter Brown said, "This is the bottle we produced, and it’s filled with the wine we made."

Logan Lewis’s eyes brightened as he looked at the Bottle, took it quickly, and upon close inspection, his eyes shone, "Is this really produced by you?"

"It’s the result of my Technology input to improve the process."

"That’s great!" Logan Lewis found himself more and more fond of the wine bottle and praised it, "I didn’t think you had such skills."

"Leader, the wine is the real deal. Once you drink it, it can help with Body adjustment."

Logan Lewis opened the Wine bottle, took a sniff, looked at Peter Brown, and said, "Really?"

"Rest assured, we’ve all drunk quite a bit of it."

Logan Lewis took a sip and after a while, he praised, "Good wine."

Right then, Logan Lewis distinctly felt a significant boost in his vitality, something he hadn’t experienced in many years.

With brightened eyes, Logan Lewis took another big sip, and his whole body was instantly filled with warmth.

Seeing Logan Lewis’s reaction, Peter Brown said, "It’s getting late today, I will rest in the dormitory tonight, and go to the county tomorrow."

After saying this, Peter Brown bid farewell and left.

Watching Peter Brown leave, Logan Lewis’s face showed a look of surprise. He no longer cared if it was work time, straightened up his clothes, and hurried home.

Logan Lewis’s wife was a Rural Person who didn’t work and always stayed at home.

As soon as Logan Lewis got home, his wife asked in bewilderment, "Why have you come back so early?"

Without saying much, Logan Lewis went over and hugged his wife.

Suddenly, a thought struck Logan Lewis. This could be his political achievement, couldn’t it?

If he were to handle the project, he could easily earn a political achievement for himself.

In that moment, Logan Lewis understood Peter Brown’s intent; the latter wanted the credit to go to him.

Feeling invigorated, Logan Lewis returned to the office and instructed his secretary, "Go and invite Peter Brown over."

After receiving the call from Logan Lewis’s secretary, Peter Brown knew what Logan Lewis intended. Since Seth Nelson was against him, he would rope in Darcy Richardson and see how Seth Nelson dealt with it.

When he arrived at Logan Lewis’s office, Logan Lewis warmly asked Peter Brown to sit and inquired in detail about the wine.

After giving an overview, Peter Brown said, "Leader, for development to succeed, we need the county’s support. I wonder if you could help us navigate those relationships?"

"Let’s go. I’ll take charge of this. I’ll escort you to report to the County High Officials. The county will surely greenlight us all the way."

As they spoke, Logan Lewis left with Peter Brown.

Together, they headed for County Town.

Seth Nelson stood by the window, watching Logan Lewis and Peter Brown leave together, his brow furrowed, wondering, "What exactly is going on here?"

Now, Seth Nelson was genuinely curious. Peter Brown hadn’t been driven out by the villagers of Fruitful Village and had even started two projects. He was clueless about what Peter Brown had actually accomplished.

He’d just called Alexis White on the phone, but Alexis’s reply was vague, providing no useful information.

Certainly, something had changed!

For the first time, Seth Nelson felt that there might have been an unexpected twist in his efforts to deal with Peter Brown. Yet he had no idea what this twist could be. Could it be that the villagers were swayed by those two projects?

As soon as this thought emerged, Seth Nelson found it hard to believe. Wine and pottery had nothing special about them; he didn’t believe Peter Brown could have achieved anything significant with them.
