Chapter 1322: Chapter 1322: Arriving in the Parallel World_1

All the energy exploded within his body, and Peter Brown’s form began to turn ethereal.

"Entering the mortal world!"

"He’s going to enter the mortal world!"

The great powerholders of the Demon Clan were shocked as they watched Peter, Peter’s actions surprising them, as many who had just arrived here didn’t even know how to enter the mortal world!

"Look quickly, his consciousness!"

An Old Monster noticed the massive belief energy swirling around Peter’s consciousness, their face filled with astonishment.

"How is this possible!"

"Such an immense amount of belief energy!"

The Old Demons were dumbfounded.

"Quick, bombard him!"

Seeing this, the Old Demons panicked, shouting out loud. They understood that if they allowed Peter to enter the mortal world like this, his consciousness would almost completely be preserved, which would greatly increase the chances of him passing the examination. If this kid succeeded, upon his return, he would be at the Hundred-Star energy level, something none of them wanted to see: by that time, he would be on a completely different level.

Streams of energy shot towards Peter.

However, those consciousness entities of Peter were protected and couldn’t be breached at all.

A black hole suddenly formed, and Peter’s consciousness rapidly moved towards it.

It’s over!

Seeing that Peter had already entered the mortal world, everyone felt extremely unhappy.

The strong members of the Demon Clan looked at each other, unable to believe that this insignificant figure could be so awesome.

At this moment, Peter wasn’t concerned with everyone’s thoughts. After his body exploded, he clearly felt a tremendous suction force drawing his consciousness, and he completely invested himself into a black hole.

Time passed slowly, and Peter’s consciousness traveled through this dark space for an unknown duration.

Suddenly, Peter felt his consciousness break through some kind of barrier, then his entire consciousness seemed to merge with another consciousness.

Though it was a fusion, Peter felt an incredibly familiar sensation; it wasn’t exactly a fusion, but more as if it was originally part of him.

An hour passed, and Peter opened his eyes.

Once he did, Peter clearly felt his body reappear.

Looking around, Peter frowned slightly. At a glance, the place was clearly a rental room, a stark environment with his items scattered about.

Upon reflection, Peter understood some information. He learned some details from the middle-aged man in the Ruyi Furnace—that there are various scenarios upon entering the mortal world, with the most common being entering a Parallel World. In the Parallel World, there is also a projection of oneself, meaning that from the day a person is born, they are also born in parallel in various worlds, each following different paths of survival and development. Now, he must have arrived inside the body of his Parallel World counterpart.

When he investigated the consciousness of this body again, Peter sure enough found information about this person. He was also named Peter Brown, but this Parallel World version of him was orphaned from birth, without siblings, and currently a Sanitation Worker in a hospital, living in poor conditions.

This society was somewhat similar to the one where he originated, but there were many differences. It was managed by a country called Grand Britannia.

Recalling the details he knew, Peter shook his head. The version of himself in this world was entirely a worker without the time, nor the inclination, to care about anything.

After reminiscing for a while, Peter began checking his body condition. After the examination, he could only chuckle bitterly. His body was the same as his own, but one difference was that he currently had no cultivation at all, not the slightest bit of inner strength, let alone the powerful abilities he originally possessed.

Taking a deep breath, Peter discovered that this place didn’t even have the slightest amount of spiritual energy compared to Earth.

It seems cultivation would be difficult!

However, Peter also understood that this was a kind of assessment, which doesn’t necessarily have to involve cultivation. There are various types of assessments.

Now, he truly had nothing!

It was only then that Peter had the time to think about the middle-aged man from the Ruyi Furnace.

It seemed his guess was right; the Ruyi Furnace didn’t just randomly enter the Phantom Realm. It must have been the doing of the middle-aged man, who appeared to be just that but was certainly a Great Powerholder using his own segment to facilitate passage. Of course, it might not have been aimed solely at him; it was just that he had obtained the Ruyi Furnace.

Peter even had the suspicion that if he had breezed through the challenges and achieved immortality, that Great Power would claim all of his achievements the moment he became an Immortal.

Had it not been for making enemies with those Old Monsters of the Demon Clan, he guessed he would never have let go of the furnace, allowing it to grow with him.

The thought alone caused Peter’s hair to stand on end.

Fortunately, the Ruyi Furnace was also destroyed, and his safety was henceforth secured.

That middle-aged man did provide quite a lot of introductions about entering the mortal world. If not for him, Peter wouldn’t have chosen to do it and wouldn’t have been able to survive. It could be considered a life-saving grace towards him!

Peter didn’t know how many more schemes these Great Powerholders had in place, guessing that many strong beings in the Phantom Realm were more or less infiltrated by them.

With a sigh, Peter thought of his Family Members. He originally thought he would quickly take control of the Cultivator, but now he was moving further and further away; the whole development simply wasn’t governed by his own will.

After some thought, Peter looked at his situation again, shaking his head. His status in this world wasn’t too good; in fact, it was pretty bad.

He reckoned that now, he could truly only rely on his medical skills to survive.

Rising from the bed, Peter assessed his physical condition, not too pleased with this malnourished form. It was evident that this world’s version of himself was living terribly.

Quickly tidying up the dormitory and taking a cold shower, Peter was now full of belly complaints. To save on electricity, this place didn’t even have a Water Heater.

When he sorted through his properties, Peter’s headache only grew worse. All the money he had amounted to about 100 dollars, and he had to wait ten more days for his salary. He thought about the upcoming rent due in a few days and that he didn’t have the rent money yet, Peter realized he had never faced such hardship.

What kind of life was this!
